This is definitely a great farm store. They have a bit of everything here, my husband loves their carpenter pants. Which are priced incredibly well.Love that even though went there in the "fall time" they still had chicks and whatnot to buy.Also great selection on snacks, seasonings, kid toys, and apparel for men, women, and kids. Being in the old Toy R US building in cape means they have lots of room for their merchandise.Also love the decor they offer as well.

Went in to buy chicken feed. The cashier was rudely asking me questions when I was on the phone with my dad's doctor. Came back later with my dad after his surgery and the same cashier was working & the only cashier working. I had 2 bags of corn my dad needed on the flat cart. Cashier was busy talking to everyone checking out. The line was backing up real good. Cashier called for help and this young girl came to check. I got in her line first with the 2 paper tags from the bags of corn. She wouldn't scan it. I told her my cart was stuck in the other line. I want to pay and go. She started ringing up the people behind me. I went back to my cart and managed to get it pulled to the customer service desk. They wouldn't ring my item up. I went back in line. Both lines was backed up. That older cashier was still carrying on full blown conversation with the customer and not in no hurry to getting the line a moving. I left my cart and walked out and won't be back. I went to the tractor supply store and had better service and the prices was cheaper for the same amount of product. They need to get rid of there cashier and hire better ones

EDITED2 Weeks and one response later I give this location another try. The exact same glue boards and traps from 2+ weeks ago are sitting out. If you really want to solve your pest problem, try cleaning up what I hope is spilled pet food. (I'm afraid of what it might be 🤢) People are encouraged to bring their dogs into this store, so open and expired mouse traps should be out of the question. Same for glue traps. They're gross and I don't want my dog getting stuck to one of them.-------------------------------------------------------------------------They use inhumane glue traps, even though they have a plentiful supply of live and instakill traps at their disposal. They'd rather have rotting starved mice sitting 2 inches from the pet food than put up some cleaner, CHEEPER traps. Disgusting. I wonder how contaminated that food isle has gotten over the years. Very gross. I'm not buying anything from here until they get their sanitization issues delt with.

I love the Cape Girardeau Store. But every time they have something in ad on sale they never have it. Then they tell you they already sold out. Then tell you to come back everyday to check. Tried to buy online and they was out of stock too. So how could they have already sold out. Not a good place to buy things out of ad. Never have it.

I'm glad we have a rural king, but I wish they'd stop trying to be a Walmart and be the old rural king We use to know. More parts less grocery

Just left the store was looking for a gun that I saw online said it was in stock the guy at the counter said that was on the website and didn't have a damn thing to do with the store then me and my grandson was looking at the chicks he saw one that was dead told one employee who just kept walking away and shrugged his shoulders on our way out he told the cashier who said very rudely so what someone will take care of it this Cape Girardeau store is full of very rude employees

We stop in to Rural King when in town. Implement prices are way too high. Shop elsewhere for those. Otherwise, inside the store, the prices are comparable to other retail stores.

I usually give very good reviews but we were in the Cape Store on 8/8/23. We live in Marion Illinois, purchased several items. Ask the staff take off one shirts that cost $32.99,thought she did. Going thru the receipts found it was still on it. Call the store wants us to return to the store. We live on a fix income, I think could help better by sending a coupon or something. Very diaspointed.

I had to search every store in cape for stainless steel welding rods. Last place I check was here they had everything I needed! Didn't have to wait for a welding shop to open up on Monday. Got what I needed and project was done fast. They also have the best prices on some animal food that I get monthly.

Staff is always so helpful when I'm looking for something or not looking for something lolStore is well organized and clean. Wide assortment of items so I can pick what fits my needs. Not a one size fits all approach kinda place. Just wish they didn't have minimums when picking out baby chick's. Sometimes you just need a couple, not 6 at a time. Other then that, love this place!

Went to get feed on a Sunday afternoon on a tight schedule. Looked all over the store for a feed cart. None available. Went to the truck and every cart rack was full. Guess you gotta bring your own in. No thanks i will go to the local feed store on Monday!

Went to the store during grand opening could not get checked out. Now after several months gave it another try. This time I ordered on line. Called 4 hours later was told it wasn't ready that the hay I ordered and showed in stock they did not have and part of the grain was not ready. Then when I finally was told it was ready Went to pick it up still had to go in to get the order and only got part of my order. The manager stated he didn't know how long it would be for a refund and gave me no receipt. I will not shop at your store again

Great selection. Great prices. And the manager is amazing. I bought a pallet of wood pellets. Got home and some were damaged. The manager took car of my issue with no problems..that's good old fashion customer service!!!
