They didn't have any food for their parakeets and they were scrounging around looking for food. This happens often, just the last straw and making this review. Same happens for their other parrots sometimes as well - not just the food but their water will be absolutely filthy and usually not clean when I go to the store.They take awful care of their animals.

Several fish dead in most tanks anytime we go in. Employees don't seem to want to sell anything. Tonight's experience was the last ditch effort we will be going to St. Louis or downtown Cape for pet needs now. Waited 30 minutes around fish for an employee to just get a couple fish for us and then were told well we are closing now we won't sell anything. I've worked retail before as a teenager, I understand the urge to kick customers out but never kicked anyone out without finishing a sale or assisting.

Today I dropped off my dog to get groomed and when I got home I see blood on my dog’s toe. Employees please be careful. There’s a lot of nerves in dogs toe nails, so I know my dog is in pain.

It was ok. I had to take back the kit c one of the lites stopped working withing the first couple of hrs i got it. I bought with my bearded dragon and then I had to go back once again bc of the lite was malfunctioned again. They ended up making it rite. Love my baby though. I'm going to get another bearded dragon here soon.

If I could leave less than 1 star I certainly would. There’s maybe 2 employees worth a damn in the store. Never can find help. If you ask for help you get an attitude and have to wait 20 minutes because they’re busy chatting with other employees. Then there’s the tall dark hair very thin girl cashier with glasses that has to be the RUDEST person I’ve encountered in a store. Got rude with me one day a few months back and told her I wanted to talk to the manager. She told me she was the manager. I called back after being upset AGAIN LATER in the store to find out she was never a manager. Just an employee walking around acting like she owns the store. Really would like to see a change with employees.

I purchased doggy shoes for my boxer!!I had difficulty finding them at other stores but Petco had them in her size. Thank You Petco for your selection of sizes and choices of products to choose from.

Went for a quick trip to pick up a couple of fish, but it was quite busy and there was only one li e opened for the longest time, and not to mention there were two associates working back in the fish area, they were more into talking and training not paying attention to those who may of needed help.

The store is very clean, and the staff is very warm and happy. Nobody looked like they didn't wanna be there. I will absolutely be back! Bring your dog for an indoor walk and get them a new toy on a cold day! Enjoy this video of my pup walking around in the store!

Edited review. Used to be a good store. I spent thousands at petco. Yearly (more so now that I've recently got back into the aquarium hobby). Ordered a 26 dollar item through amazon from them. Hasn't shipped. I tried to cancel through Amazon and even contacted pet co. Told me I would have to just send it back when I received it at my expense unless it was broken... well 50% of what I order from Amazon arrives broken or used and missing pieces so there's a chance. Was at there local store yesterday and spent more than this item including a fish that as the lady was trying to catch she moved around some decorations and up floated 2 dead fish.. i bought it anyway hopefully i can save it.. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I would recommend you do the same. Lots of stores you can order your goods from online (i don't recommend Amazon) but smaller companies or a private owned lfs is the way to go.

Friendly staff and a very clean facility. I personally enjoy being a part of this Petco when it comes to making purchases. I have bought two parakeets from this location. I have also bought like 6 fish that are very healthy to this day from this location. I really believe the people who work here actually care.

Very rarely do i write reviews, and truthfully, i don’t want any sort of contact from management other than awareness of this issue, therefore i am using my sisters account for this post.This company advertises, and so does the groomer, that nail trims are a “walk in service” and you don’t need an appointment. With that being said, i took an hour out of my day to get my dogs nails handled.I go into a grooming salon with an unlocked door and no soul in it.I go to the retail staff and one young lady claims the groomer will be back and turns around and starts ignoring me, which i proceed to ask more questions. Ok? So she will be back, so we should wait then?? She proceeds….well, no…. I’m not sure she will be back. A man then chimes in, and says “did you have an appointment”— no, i tell him, but i have talked to a female groomer in the past and she said it was a walk in service and so does the website.I even tried to call in advance and no one answered. Everything posted online indicates that i would be able to be taken care of. I asked the staff if they could please post the information somewhere so i could not waste my time in the future. advertising you’re open, and not being open is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. If the lady wanted a day off, have a replacement.So not only did i waste a trip, gas, i then was treated like i was a bother to employee’s for inquiring. Incredibly disappointing to take time out of my day to be met with no help. I don’t recommend grooming here. Evidently the groomer makes their own hours outside of corporates hours. Unacceptable, why not be a private groomer at this point?

Got 3 fish yesterday. Got the filter and cleaner all that the girl working said to get .woke up this morning all fish were sucked to filter. Went back for refund and the guy at register was very rude and mean. Said that water takes a month to get ready and the girl said nothing about it. I did what she said to let sit in water 20 min I let sit for 1hoir before introducing to water. That was fine the filter sucked them to it. The guy needs a new job if he doesn't like working there for sure very rude.

I’ve been there twice. Both times employees were standing round chatting but offering zero help. If you dare to ask for assistance finding something they cop an attitude. Never greeted or even acknowledged. Will not be returning other than to return what I bought.

The location of our brand of food had changed within the stores, and being disabled that is frustrating and makes shopping harder. Also, the dog food is all the way on the back wall, which also makes it very difficult to shop disabled. Since dog and cats food are possibly the most popular, it would be so helpful to bring it closer for customers like me.

I came to pick up some dog food, and had a terrible time… the assistant manager on duty, Roland treated me and my husband poorly - he was rude, lacked personal skills and should NOT be the manager on duty. Micah who checked us out was extremely kind and should be the manager instead.

I was looking for toys for my 5 mo old Lab puppyThe shelves were somewhat empty but I did finally choose 3 toys. The store was really messy ( which is unusual). The clerk didn’t speak to me until asking if I wanted a bag which I thought was strange, until I saw the sign that I paid .10 cents for the bag. The items are pricy enough without having to pay for something to carry them in.I probably won’t be returning, there’s plenty of other stores in town with lower prices and I don’t have to pay for the bag.

Never again. It was my first visit for grooming. Setup account on website. Same day appointment blocked on the site, so I called at 9a and advised to come in.I arrived at 1030. Friendly groomer, but she insisted that I install the Petco app. I don't want the app, just grooming services, so I said no thanks. She absolutely insisted. "You *must* install the app..." she said.I felt pinched but assumed it was for the vet vaccination record, and I needed the grooming.I installed but didn't like it. As it's installing, she said that the app 'was just for the 10% discount', that I never asked for. I felt duped. There was no requirement to install the app for grooming. I don't install fluff apps on my devices, ever.She then tells me that Petco forces her to have minimum 50% of her customers to install the app, or else she will be fired.If you manage this store, Petco grooming, Petco marketing, or Petco e-commerce, please know that I'll never, spend money at your stores again for this app garbage. I don't need your app to get grooming. Focus on your customers needs, not your shareholders boat payments. The workflows need more work, folks.As for the grooming, puppers was there 6 hours and they didn't get to what I ordered. Never again.

There were several employees working. Two were standing in the back corner gossiping and one was helping a customer with the purchase of a gecko. We patiently waited as we were trying to get some things from the reptile isle. Nobody asked us if we needed assistance. We ended up walking out. They usually are better than this, so maybe they were having an off day.
