A good selection of everyday items for when you need to get something but you don't want to drive all the way to Wal-Mart. My only complaint is that the parking lot is very dark at night. Other than that they are always pretty fast checking customers out and providing assistance when you need to find a specific item.

I just had to write a new review for the Dollar General store on Broadway they are some of the hardest working people I've ever seen and this is the truth they have brought that store to Five I never thought that store would ever be in such good shape as it is now hats off to the manager and her hard working team!!!

I'm sad to say this but sense they lost there last two mangers this place has gone really downhill!! I have to walk everywhere and sense this place is right by my home it's very convenient for me! Everytime I come here they never have anything it seems! I can't never even find pink lided milk or cat litter deodorant powder EVER! I have to walk across town to get both of them! Also I went in there the other day for cat litter and they had to gigantic cart's blocking all the cat litter so I had to reach around both of them because they were too heavy to move and it was rough!! Please hire More staff and keep things restocked! I don't want to have to stop coming there

Your store hours says it close at 9pm. It closed at 7pm. It is a convenient store in the neighborhood, it isn't convenient when I have to get in my car and drive to Walmart to get what I needed. When I could have easily gotten it at the dollar general on Broadway which is right by my house. And I bet the parking lot full of angry customers would have agreed with me.

This store is in a great location! That way you don't have to run all the way across town for basic household items. Another thing is its Roomy, plenty of space in the middle row and there are actually products on the shelves, not stacked up on racks Everywhere just waiting to get restocked. That makes me crazy when I go into the one in my hometown and you spend most of your time trying to either maneuver around the racks full of stock or you have to find a idle that you can even Go down. But what made me give this store a 5 start rating was I was greeted in a very friendly manner before I even got all the way in by the female worker (@aprox 3:50) & by the time I was checking out with my 5 yrs old grandson around 4:30-5:00) cause we spent a lot of time on Christmas clearance and the toy isle! Whew, the young man who had just taken over at register (for the aforementioned young lady), was so helpful and accommodating and extremely Nice Also! Psst....Benton is hiring! Lol, come on down!🤭😊

Very nice and we'll organized place. Has a lot of cheap stuff that you would find at a high priced store and worth $15 compared to their $5. Everyone is nice as employees and are very respectful of the costumers. Thank you Dollar General and the workers.

I'm am disgusted by all the trash all around the DG store on Broadway. There are empty alcohol bottles literally sitting in parking spots. Also, the shelves are hardly ever stocked. The manager is great at this store however, but unfortunately she can not do it all by herself.

Dollar General employees are great...parking somewhat difficult and two guys lurking in the parking lot gave an uneasy feeling and one followed me into the store..offered to get something for me off the top shelf then asked for money. Once I informed staff that he was doing this and got $13 from me they put a stop to it immefiately!! Thanks to the employees!!!!

This particular store was a huge disappointment. It was poorly laid out with barely room to navigate. On top of that there were racks of cardboard, etc in the way in at least 3 places. I wanted to give up and leave, maybe I should have as the cashier was not at all personable, not mean but not much else either. And he was not busy so that wasn't it. I don't think you could pay me to go in there again, I would have to be desperate.

I use to not go there it was always a mess and could never find anything ,But since under new management its a great experience can find what you need and there is always someone to help you not like before could never find anyone to help and when you did it was with an attitude but now I give the new Manager a big huge Thank you you do a great job .

Usually very friendly staff and I know where things are so I like it. The beggars and borrowers in the parking lot I could do without, but that's not their fault. It's a little dingy in there and lots of times things are out of stock, even well before covid. Overall I'll go there before Walmart if I can.

There is an employee there and she has made that place light up. I love her spirit. There were terrible employees there before and they made that place feel so dark. There was an employee who was obviously on something and I prayed everyday. I stopped going to DG on Broadway for months because of the filth and employees. But because this one employee started working and I can't remember her name. That place has done a complete 180

How they stay open is beyond me. The register is always off price wise. The employees are rarely trained. And they do not honor their own sales.. Again a scanner and register issue.

Shelves are not stocked properly and the place is an overall disaster area, you would think as downtown Cape has cleaned up that the Dollar General would have stepped up its game but it sadly hasn't. The last 3 times I went there looking for a,specific item they were either out of stock or couldnt find,it!

Was very clean and respectful. But, the one on HWY 61 OUTSIDE OF SIKESTON 3 WEEKS AGO THE LADY RUN ME OUT AND DIDN'T GIVE ME MY 7.00 IN CHANGE. I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY CHANGE AND I WAITED FOR HER TO CLOSE TO TELL HER SHE JUST IGNORED ME . NEEDLESS TO SAY I WON'T BE GOING BACK THERE EITHER.....

You losers on this page dissing this store know you could never live without a Dollar General. Cracks me up. Everyone should be grateful you can find such a plethora of products from tools to curtains at a discounted price. Some of my fav purchases are from DG.

With the isles overcrowded, and a shocking lack of grocery items, it is not a choice for me to shop there, but a lack of other choices within reasonable walking distance for area residents.If I had a car I would never enter this store.

They are so convinced everyone shoplifts that they follow every patron around the store. Meanwhile noones up front so ppl take off out the door with merchandise. Best shoplifting store ever!!!
