I was in this site in cape fair around 12pm on July 15th. When I went to check out the guy at the register was awesome. I'm mad at myself that I didn't get his name. I couldn't get my cards to work very fast. He was very patient and kept telling me it was OK when I apologized. I'm not sure if he is a manager but I have been in customer service and management all my life and he is definitely management material. At least deserves top pay!!! I hope a general manager sees this because he deserves recognition!!!

I have a lake house near this store in Cape Fair and visit this Dollar General often. This morning I needed several things, including staples, to complete a presentation but the shelf was out of staples. Upon asking, the clerk went to his stapler and offered me some of his so that I could complete a presentation for a customer. I was able to get everything I needed to complete the presentation including staples. This store has great people and they are always there when we need something. Thank you to him and to Dollar General for a job well done.

All employees are very helpful when needed. Our small town needed this. My Husband and I stop in at lest once a day, saves us from driving all the way to Walmart. I have got to know all employees at this store very well. My son is lactose intolerant and they where able to get milk in the store that he can drink! Wonderful management and staff. The staff all seem very happy with their job and if anything wish they could get more hours. I see a lot of fake untrue reviews while reading on Google, And personally know at lest one of them is only trying to cause problems due to personal issues unrelated to this store at all. It's sad to think some people are so low. This store and all management and employees are a blessing for our little town very thankful to finally have it.

Very clean store! However customer service lacks at times. When going to the store I tend to spend most the time trying to find a cashier. If you find yourself looking for one. I recommend checking outside as you will find the employees smoking in the parking lot. Not one but the staff as a whole. Including the manager.

I was shopping her yesterday they was having clearance sale ,there was a cart by some clearance items so I was looking in it and out from behind the register came the manager she started yelling to me to get out of that cart it was hers I said you are working she said it don’t matter maybe I should ask before I dig in a cart. She then comes out to the bathroom by the clearance table and continues saying things to me. As I was checking out she continued talking about me to the other cashier, as she has 2 carts full of clearance items, also carts in the back full as well. I am just saying her as a Dollar General employee shouldn’t be hoarding all the sales items for herself while on the clock! Also she showed very poor customer service yelling and talking to me as she did. I will also be contacting corporate office.

I'm a local to the area and visit the store frequently, it's always very clean and well organized, and the staff is very friendly and down-to-earth. Moderately priced items, but they do offer a variety of Frozen as well as fresh food and milk hamburger Etc

Operating hours are great, friendly but overworked staff- if you need something or are ready to check out while they're stocking just let em know. They can't see you while doing double duty.This is the closest thing the area has to a grocery store, and while it could price gouge, it doesn't. Sales rotate and often compete well enough to not need to drive 20 miles to Walmart. Off brands are pretty decent on most items- I got a 10 pack of fly tape for $1.50. Bathroom is for customers only, and you can pretty much get all the essentials. Just double check dates on perishables like milk.One very important thing to note: no alcohol sales on Sunday and frequently sold out by Saturday night. The gas station across the street has a better beer selection, and sells on Sundays.

Love the Saturday $5.00 off $25.00! Really disappointed that there were no paper coupons on the receipts this week. Most weeks I use my digital and 1 paper coupon too. What's up with no paper coupons???? I have friends that don't have the app and use the paper coupons.

Generally the store and staff are good but I was up there about a month ago and the cashier wasn't up front so I waited but she never showed up so I left.

First time there and the clerk did not make sure I took all the sacks he used to bag the 4 items I bought so when I got hone 20 miles away I was missing the cheese and meat I bought. It could have been all in one bag not multable

Great having this DG in our area. This one stays pretty clean and stocked. So far everyone that has or is working there has been pretty nice.
