Great place. Not as big as the nearby Bear market, but prices are lower. Very organized too. They will give breaks on prices when you buy in bulk or you find a chip or ding on the item and you can show it is overpriced. Newly paved and Reorganized February 2024.Very nice store, I have made some great "diamond in the rough" finds here... including new air fryer for $20, set of 5 nicely framed and matted 24"x18" stats and picture medleys of team, Warner, Bruce, Falk, Holt for $80, new waffle iron for $5, tshirts (long and short) for $2 each, etc,

Ended up getting a kitten from them accidentally missed one appointment, I’m a truck driver and the lady on the phone very rude saying she wouldn’t have given me a animal if I was the way I am sorry I drive for living but the cat is doing better with me than a shelter don’t know who you are trying to be rude even though I was very nice to you and explained to you I’m in a different state, don’t know why u have to be rude u need a attitude adjustment

Absolutely beautiful store, very well organized, kind staff and we got the coolest stuff, including 2 Asian tea sets and an unopened wii fit board. We got a bunch of stuff on 50% off day (like bags and bags of stuff) and paid less than $20. I highly recommend shopping here. Posting the photos of the tea sets.They welcome my service dog each time I go in too, but they're very respectful that he's on duty.

This place is a joke!! The prices are absolutely crazy. I understand it is for the animal shelter BUT make the donation to the shelter not the Thrift store where they have paid employees not volunteers. I will not ever go back. They do not negotiate prices and often times ask more for used items than what they cost new in the store. It just blows my mind. And the cat hair is crazy. There's a cat in the store which they don't post about anywhere. Allergies went crazy. I'm just so disappointed with their new store. The old one you could afford to shop at. This new one, even tho it's a few years old, should be embarrassed to post those prices for donated items.

We stopped in to look for some work shirts. As usual they have a great assortment and great prices. If you had been to other bldg this move to here was fantastic. More room, great variety of items and all sold for a great cause. Stop in and You will come again.

No I'm a disabled veteran and throughout my life my first name is George so I'm an explorer I love to pokey little alleys and go up through the rivers and the trees in the mountains when I was in Colorado and the thrift store in town near Camden the dogwood places are really adventurous place if you know how to go in and there's a little chubby hole room in the back and sometimes they got real cool electronics they put it up bunch of vinyl records if I didn't have a record player to play them but I had to buy that Kenny Rogers album in a I'm a booth ran off fan cuz I play the saxophone so I got to final record player now though it's working good and I got it at the dogwood okay truckload of stuff

Love this store. I got a couple times a week. Kinda sad I bought a power supply with a works sticker on it assuming it was tested but it doesn't work at all. But I've found a dozen other things priced cheap that totally makes up for it. Highly recommended. But if it says works maybe plug it in and double checkUpdate just bought a bread maker that had a works sticker on it and it totally doesn't work at all. This is crazy. Either test it first or out as is.

This is one of the better thrift stores around the lake, and not just because it supports a very active animal shelter.Everyone that works here is a volunteer and the average age of those volunteers seems to be about 75 sometimes. :-)It had a major over haul awhile ago and now the clothes are right in front, smart. There is a nice mixture of furniture of all kinds, inside and out, tons of books, kitchen things, collectibles and the occasional, major score. Last week I was looking around and happened to look up, which I seldom do. Hanging on the wall was a vertical, dark brown tote bag. A volunteer retrieved it for me and I found out it was 100% leather! Beautiful hardware, great shoulder strap, $5.00!!! When I paid for it I wanted to run out before they discovered what a find it was!The pricing can be inconsistent and sometimes you get lucky like I do. There is a restroom for the customers and if you are allergic to cats, beware. They have a couple of store cats that live in there and lay on the furniture and the other items. Parking can be very tight.

These people are a joke. You bring them stiff for free, that they turn around and sell, but if you bring clothes in a box instead of a white trash bag they won't take it... They'll "give you a trash bag, but won't bag it for you." What a joke. I give you free things that you make money on but you can't even bag it yourself.

Absolutely love what they're doing regardless if I can drop something off, or if I need to hold on to it for a later time. The volunteers have always been friendly and very accommodating, regardless of what we are donating.

This thrift is sooo fun. Lots of selection. If u see an item u have to get it cuz it will be gone! The restroom is always clean. The dressing rooms are too! The volunteers are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Lots of space for parking. A great place to stop by and don't forget to pet the kitties!

Been going there for years and today a guy was so rude saying I couldn't park in there parking lot for the dogwood parade in the same spot our family has been parking for over 40 years!! He was very rude!! I parked there any way I wasn't blocking their spots I was parked on what the hwy owns ... that's fine I will take my money elsewhere shoping and I will support another animal shelter if they want to that people act that way!!

The Dogwood Thrift Shop is a terrific folksy charity resale shop that benefits the Dogwood Animal Shelter. Most recently we have been dropping off donations after a home renovation. They are very likely to take most donations of reasonable quality, but they don't accept any junk. The store, itself, has a huge range of items. It is a great place to go for both affordable everyday clothing and for vintage clothes. They have furniture, kitchenware, books, and a wide range of knick-knacks. The volunteer staff are very kind and helpful. A few cats from the shelter are always hanging around the shop. It is a worthwhile Camdenton experience even if you aren't looking to buy anything.

This is my favorite thrift store!It's worth the drive to always find a great deal. Proceeds go to a wonderful cause and the staff are extra friendly. They have a huge cat in the store who was as sweet as a cat could be, for a cat.

I fully understand the need to get every dollar you can to maintain a no kill shelter but the prices in the store seem high. Almost retail. Lol lower your prices to what's really fair and sell LOTS more items thus making more profit. It's donations people! Thanks for helping the doggies anyways

I like to think all thrift store are alike. But, I believe used goods are the best example. Once you no longer want something, or can't use it, someone else can.
