The cashier didn't have a name tag, but for a younger girl, she was super nice. I will definitely be going back there, cause that is what matters anymore with me, is how I am treated. This young lady showed me she wanted me there shopping where she works. Wish more young people were like that .

To give a review on the local grocery store is really good idea, because it tells you the quality of that place. The people are very nice, especially the managers are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful In a sense of understanding human to human, you should come and shop at this place.Sometimes small cities have excellent people working to serve their community

The only issue I have with this store is it seems the meat is always browning when I go in. I have seen lunch meat turning green and steaks turning brown. I'm not saying this is all the time because some times they have a great selection. But it happens a lot. I never see this happening at the other store in town.However, I really like the selection of all the dried goods and fresh vegetables. They have a great amount of things to choose from and I feel like I always have better luck finding my fresh veggies there. And they are always in good shape!

Prices are reasonable..they offer Best Choice products that are a good substitute for Name Brannds. They have fresh smoked Ribs, chicken and pulleys pork, etcAbsolutely an enjoyable experience for the BBQ Lovers. They have a nice produce section with some hard to find items. They do NOT sell cigarette or alcohol.They have a $1 isle with some items that are great, some.. worth $1.. but daytime Customer service is Wonderful with mature staff and friendly, knowledgeablepeople. Their MEAT dept. is also VERY good and the butcher is friendly and they will slice meat free, plus they special order for you as well as Sell in BULK!

I was assisted personally by an extremely helpful lady Manager. She was patient and pleasant. When the item rang up $2 higher (it was actually a Really Cool T-shirt that said, "STRAIGHT OUTTA CALIFORNIA,MO.") because it was an X-Lg, since all of the ones she had shown me were LG. She insisted the cashier honor the price she had read off to me! Sounexpected and just like the GOOD OLD FASHIONED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION SOME of us over 45 still remember! I also LOVE their freshly slow-smoked racks of ribs, while chickens, pork chops & steaks, even freshly BBQ'd pulled Pork in tubs just right for 2 people to had sandwiches from!They also have an $1 Isle that has some extremely good products on it.There is a Pharmacy inside the store which allows has a human being ( Super Pleasant Sarah)Answering the phone! An exceedingly pleasant experience in itself! The entire staff there are professional, respectful of each person's privacy, and have excellent customer service skills.The Fresh Produce, Meat, and Dairy Departments are always well stocked, reasonably priced and clean with easy to see Prices.

For what they lack specifically in enthusiasm they make up for with lower prices and good quality products produce section meat are or all high-quality hard work. Cashiers could use a little enthusiasm other than that wonderful they just don't talk to you the young ones beautiful products

I shop here all the time because I know exactly where everything is order that I'll find! That's how regular they stay. Everyone fairly friendly, folks are very helpful and nice check out girls seem to be slipping because a lot of the older ladies that have worked there for many many years are no longer working there and the girls that are there have not been trained well as a human resources and recruitment & trainingSpecialist, I feel the front end needs some serious work on need something positive attitude while at work keeping a big smile on your face while you're helping your guest or your customer and making sure that you keep your attention on them at all times not be talking over your shoulder to your friend about a party or giggling together when they come to the register about something unrelated to work they need to be well they need to have a proper trainer give them the rules and regulations so that they know what they can do what they can't do and how they need to be more outgoing and pleasant in available to the public there holding back and making customers feel like they can't ask them a question or tell them you know I need to take something off without them rolling their eyes and saying I have to get a key from so and so and just dragging things along so slowly I work in cashier positions for 25 years and leave me we were made to go fast so I don't understand who's hiring these girls but overall the meat smoker is awesome! Their ribs and the most chickens and singular steaks and even shredded pork are just to die for! Overall I rate it highly because for the most part for people

I like this store a lot. There was a little shade where I parked, the produce was wonderful that I bought, the music was very nice. Clean wide aisles, everything easy to find. Then at the checkout the employees were courteous and helpful and smiling. I like all that. Thank you

Decent selection. Nice meat department. Make sure to check best by date on shelved items, have gotten items there past date that we're not good at all.

Cal's is locally owned and operated. Cal's is a pretty good hometown grocer. It has a pretty good butcher department, where they are very helpful and try to accommodate special requests. There is a fair inventory catering to Hispanic cuisine. For anyone on a budget, there is a dollar aisle.

Only three stars due to the employees/lack ofcustomer service. If you are there during the day on a weekday it's pretty spot-on however if you're there on the weekend or in the evenings employees are not helpful and at times can be rude two customers demonoid to stop chit-chatting to halfway perform their job duties

The one and only reason I chose to give 4 stars instead of 5 are the prices. Although comparable with the other grocery store in town neither one is where youd expect to save a lot....but Cals Thriftway makes up for their lack of wholesale prices with their small town friendliness, a clean good smelling store, and the ambient music...it seems to always be playing a song that i like, that i havent heard in ages and so sets me in a nostalgic mood.......the produce is great, the meat dept. is great...and the cashier still asks if youd like paper or plastic. So I give Cals Thriftway 4 stars for atmosphere.

So glad to see that they are carrying some organic produce and now they have quite a few choices for keto/paleo/low carb and people who want less processed ingredients in their meal plans. Usually if I bring something home that my husband likes (specific bbq sauce etc) I will ask Troy or Kevin if they carry it and they will check on it for me and even carry for a little while I see how it sells. Tracy has done well with ordering organic produce and keeping “cauliflower rice” on hand. I love that my pharmacy is right there as well for my mom (as I pick up her meds for her) as well as anything my husband or I need. Since I work in town and only go to the nearest “city” maybe every 3 months, I am so grateful to have the choices available that I do at Cals.

Vegetables and fruits have got really expensive and look horrible. Place needs a good cleaning. Oh, don't ever use the bathroom. It is disgusting!

All in all this is a good supermarket. Wish they had a full service deli. Service isn't quite as good as it used to be, but still has pretty much everything you need.
