We left our dogs there for a weekend while on vacation and it was an amazing experience! Very nice employees and owners who treated us and our dogs very great! They even gave us a tour of the facility which was awesome so we knew where our dogs were staying and what they'd be doing. The dogs seemed very happy and comfortable as well when we dropped off and picked up. Definitely recommend!

They are 10 mins away from my house total hidden gem! I'm so lucky to have a great groomer so close living between fair grove and buffalo. Our Xeva before and after!!! Our girl got a little bitey and they told me that they muzzled her and then was calm. I appreciate that they were honest about my dog's behavior. Will always use Countryside Kennels.

We were so happy to find a place that seemed to care for our dog as we do. We have had bad experiences before with him not eating or acting out when we picked him up. That was not the case here. He was happy and wasn’t even in a hurry to leave. The people were very nice as well. It also appeared to be very clean and organized. Also had him groomed before pickup and he was so clean and smelled so good! Would highly recommend!!

I absolutely LOVE this family owned business. They are one of the best Kennels I've been too. They offer boarding and grooming. They are willing to work with your schedule. They are thoughtful, helpful, and great at what they do.

Sad to change from five stars to one… We have been using Countryside for many years. We were sad when the previous owners sold, but we thought that this family was kind and took care of our dogs... So disappointed in this place. Hard to reach on the phone which is fine since they are busy, however they ignore emails with concerns as well. My advice is to pick your dog up early! Make sure you have what you brought in and be sure to look and see if what you provided had been used accordingly over the days you were gone….. sadly this includes medications and special foods. My dog did not receive his medications while I was gone, and the special foods I provided were ignored during my dog’s stay. Makes me wonder how they were treated in the past by these new owners.

Been bringing my dogs for many years.Have been happy in the past.Not this last visit.Several reasons.One very important.Our pets are part of the family.And they did NOT receive quality care.I can no longer trust this place!This makes me disappointed and sad.They have no explanation.I think they have enough business so they aren’t worried about it.Will no longer be recommending or driving 60 miles for boarding.

We discovered this place by word of mouth and drive an hour out of the way when we need to board. They handle our 110 pound pup with ease & confidence which is very uncommon for his breed type & personality. The only complaint I have is pickup & drop off times are limited.

They kept our two dogs for a few days while we were out of town. The place was very clean and the owners are all very nice. When we picked up the dogs they were happy and had been well taken care of. We will definitely use them the next time we go out of town.

They are a life-saver! I had to go to the hospital for emergency delivery and had to board our dogs last minute. They went out of their way to help us out and get our two dogs taken care of. The staff was so helpful and friendly! We have also since taken out German Shepherd there for grooming and she came home like a brand new dog. Definitely reccomend!

We have been boarding our 2 dogs here when we go on vacation for a few years now and never had any issues until this most recent trip. The price has always been good and our dogs seemed in good spirits when we would pick them up. Since our last visit, one of our dogs came home with kennel cough and got so sick he had to go to the emergency vet because he couldn't breathe, and our other dog has been limping ever since the day he came home to the point that he is only walking on 3 legs. These boys are both young and have always been in great health.We reached out to inquire about any insurance coverage Countryside might have to cover costs of medical issues arising while pets are under their care, and were told there was none. The owner tried to say she informed us of the kennel cough outbreak when we dropped the dogs off, but in reality they didn't tell us until halfway through our vacation while we were out of state. I'm mainly leaving this review to make sure other people are aware of this, as I would have liked to have thought through the risks better myself. The boarding price was very fair, but the medical expenses resulting from this visit are well beyond the cost of a more expensive boarding facility and our dogs have both had to suffer for it as well.

The good folks here went out of their way to help me out when I had an emergency situation requiring short notice boarding for my dogs. They allowed for an after-hours drop off, called to coordinate things with a local vet, contacted my previous vet, and worked with me to get vaccinations up to date. I wouldn't expect them to make such accommodations under normal circumstances, but they alone made my emergency situation significantly less stressful. They earned a customer for life that day.

I took my dog to the Countryside Kennelsto get my dog groomed then I had another appointment with them for my other 2 boy dogs well my white dog got so sick with kennel cough.And the vet said that she knew all about it. Cause he’s been having a lot of dogs sick from that place Now my other two boy dogs have what the white dog has. Why would a groomer that knew she had kennel cough going around in her place and not let her customers know anything about it. She should close it down and disinfect the place so other dogs don’t get this. So if you have a appointment with Countryside Kennels I wouldn’t take my dog there anymore!

The folks at Countryside Kennels are fantastic! It's a very nice place and very clean! I had to board my cat. They are extremely professional and treat their guests like they were their own pets. Our family loves Countryside! They are very nice people, with a VERY CLEAN and open kennel facility. The dog runs are always spotless and big. They also have a grooming service on-site that can handle your needs while you are away. I have never had a problem with my dogs shying away from going and the dogs get to play with others their size during the day.I highly recommend the drive North from Springfield to try them out. You won't be disappointed and your dogs will love it!Bring cash or a check- no credit cards. Not a big deal at all.

I started using Countryside Kennels when I lived in Buffalo and had a dog that needed some daytime socialization with other dogs. I had purchased the dog at about 7 months old and it had lacked some socialization at an important time in his development which caused him to be very nervous around other dogs and people. So our yellow Lab Ernie spent about 3 days a week (dropped him off at 8, picked him up at 5) with Lenora and Steve at Countryside Kennels. All I can say is they are great! They obviously love dogs, and it shows. The kennel is immaculate---I've never even smelled a "dog smell" when I walked in (I honestly don't know how they do it). Lenora goes out of her way to treat the dogs well. My dog loves water. When I arrived to pick him up at the end of the day, she would get a clean towel to dry him off before I loaded him up. Ernie loves to go there. I no longer live in Buffalo, but, when we go on vacation, we still drive about 80 miles round trip to leave Ernie at Countryside Kennels. I could not recommend them more highly!

My dog loves it here! She recognizes whenever we go down the drive and I can barely keep her in the car. She likes everyone there and I like that they work with her to get some of her energy out (which she has plenty of) and that she gets to be with other dogs. I recommend them for sure.

We had to leave our dog Sammie for a few days, and being new to Missouri, (we live in Buffalo ) we saw the big billboard and decided to check it out. Well! They were so very kind to give us a tour, and it was amazingly clean, and showed us the dog run area and told us about the schedule they have for taking the dogs out. I was so relieved to find such a great place to leave our sweet Sammie. I also asked them to groom her. Fantastic job and very reasonable prices! If you have any qualms about this place, ...not to worry, such a wonderful family run facility! Thank you very much for taking such good care of Sammie

This place is a joke. They gave approval to a vet to give my dogs meds without speaking to my husband or myself then gave it to my dogs (the people at the kennel) and then turned around and told me husband they it was the vets fault bc the vet didn’t get out approval. The kennel is the one who gave it to them! And I spice to the vet about the shot the dogs got which I approved! This place is a joke and will b reported!

We left our dog Milo there for a long weekend. He has never been away from us before. And exceptly now that he has gotten hurt. He can't walk using his back legs. But they did a great job taking care of him. And they are very nice. If someone asked me where to take their dog while their on vacation I would definitely say "Countryside".

I have 3 large dogs, all different breeds from a Husky mix to a Catahoula mix that I've taken to Countryside for grooming twice. They always do a great job and I feel safe leaving the dogs there for the day. The other great thing is the cost - I have yet to find a groomer here in Springfield for three 50+ lb, medium to long haired dogs for the price. They always go above and beyond too - one of my pups needed some pretty heavy de-matting and trimming around his tail and they didn't nickle and dime me for the extra work. The drive north of town is well worth it! (Note: They accept cash or check only!)
