Went back after a week. My first review was about their rat cages being so disgusting could not check out my future pet. I ended up rescuing two Rats from there and almost a week later they are finally starting to not have diarrhea. I really wish this establishment would take better care of where these babies are forced to live overpopulated. Also did not like the way the person handled the rats when they were getting them out for me. Obviously not an animal person.

The ball pythons here are living in bad conditions. The humidity is way off, should be between 40%-60% NOT 25-30%. I have pictures of the gages and the pythons. Contacted a regional manager, hope that this gets resolved. I'll come in every day and do this until things get fixed. It's pathetic, pythons need adequate humidity or they will dehydrate. How would you feel if some stuck you in a glass box and deprived you of your precious humidity? Shame on you Petco.

In-store personnel was very professional and friendly. My issue is that I always order online and pick-up in store because I had always received a 10% discount off my order, which is a huge deal for me because I have 4 rescue dogs and spend $300 to $350 a month at Petco. This purchase, my items no longer qualify for the 10% off if I buy online and pick-up in store even though I buy the same exact brands of dog food every month. I find it very odd that the brand of dog food I always buy and receive a discount for, is no longer a part of this offer. Because of this, I will definitely be purchasing from either Amazon or Chewy. Very disappointing.

I was recently gifted a 55 gallon fish tank with no knowledge of caring for a tank or fish. We went 2 weeks ago and Jackie was a tremendous help. She walked us through the store pointing out each piece we needed. She pointed us in the right direction on everything we needed and what was best for the price. We set it up and waited 2 weeks, which we wouldn't have known to do if she wouldn't have told us. Today I was very excited to get our new fish! I was ready to walk in and buy 5 of each! Another girl tested our water and showed us the additive we needed for our pH. My boyfriend a I were walking around looking and there was Jackie! Thank goodness we ran into her. She advised us what to start with and how many of each kind and when we can add a certain kind of a more aggressive fish. I trusted her judgement I began saying "you pick". Needless to say, Jackie and the team are all amazing, knowledgeable and very helpful. My fish seem very happy! See?

To say that I was disgusted is an understatement. The way they keep their animals is an act of ignorance and abuse. The way these animals are kept is absolutely unacceptable! This is gonna be a long review so prepare yourself. 1. The reptiles. I went over to their tiny reptile section and literally almost broke down because of how bad these animals were kept. Their were 20 leopard geckos in one enclosure, leopard geckos are solitary animals that shouldn't be cohabitated. They also had only 2 hides when they need 3 on minimum. The substrate was very improper, it was sand and they need a mix of top soil and play sand. A few of the bearded dragons looked sick and emaciated. The chameleons humidity was very low and one was in shed therefore it needed to be higher to help with shedding. 2. The mammals. The guinea pigs were kept in tiny improper enclosures and had hardly any room to move around. Some seemed to be aggressive if one would come close to it. The hamsters literally couldn't burrow and were scratching at the side of the enclosure in an attempt to burrow and file their teeth. One of the birds had clipped wings and couldn't move around very well. I am sickened with the way this petco kept its animals.

Prices were through the roof compared to others. One register, one checkout person, and no one on the floor to help customers. Guinea pigs in an open-top cage behind the register escaping. The cashier was very slow and non-engaging. Won't return. I can go to Walmart and get the items I need and better help at a lower price.R. FreemanBranson, Missouri

Clean, friendly place for all our pets needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They carry a wide range of products. They tend to be slightly higher, but most specialty stores are. Will shop here again.

Went to this establishment in hopes of buying a exotic bird to feed to my Burmese python, Meredith, It was her birthday after all. All they had was parakeets and lovebirds, or at least I thought. Then I saw it, a cockatoo, the perfect birthday cake for my Meredith. Unfortunately they would not sell me this cockatoo whenever I informed them it was going to be brutally crushed to death by Meredith. -1 star.they did sell me 500 teddy bear hamsters though, in which Meredith did enjoy. Four stars

Always love taking my Shorky to Petco! She loves all the attention and even got her some treats! Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. My husband got some new fish and the tanks were clean and the fish were healthy!

The other reviewer who left a positive review today apparently didn't encounter the employee named Joyce. My wife went into the store to return a item that was too large for our dog. Joyce treated my wife like trash. The packaging was already torn from when my wife bought it. Joyce acted like that was the most horrible thing, insinuating that we tore the box. Then made my wife stand there while she (Joyce) taped the box up. Then she (Joyce) demanded the payment method used on the purchase by using just one curt word, "Card!".Customers should never be treated this way. We never will use this branch of Petco again. I'll drive all the way to Springfield's PetSmart or order online in the future.

Branson missouri petco has horrible customer service .. a heavy set blond was my cashier and when i did t agree to riund up my purchas as a donation her demeanor changed and she treated me loke dirt.. this is twice there that the same woman has treated me poorly.. they should fire her as she obviously believes she is too good to do her job.. she purposefully avoided saying thank you! Great people u have working there! I wont b back if shes there!!!

I took my dog Riley to be groomed, just trimmed up by the same person who groomed her before. The first time it looked great! She was soft and fluffy and no issues. This last time.. she called and said she didn't get the cut quite right and it would be choppy.. ok.. not a big deal.. when I picked her up she didn't look horrible then later I noticed, her tail was cut :(( no groomer has ever touched by dogs long fluffy tail (including the first time I took her here) we NEVER talked about cutting her tail, and it had been SHAVED. This is what has happened in the weeks since then. $100s in vet bills and a miserable pup. The groomers here are too busy to focus and care for your dog especially for the money you are paying.

When I first moved here from Washington this was my go to place for getting my furbabies groomed. I'm not sure what happened since the last time I was there a few months ago but when I got my pup bathed yesterday I was not impressed. She was still wet and wasn't brushed out at all which is what I had said she really needed.The pictures here are of the hair I brushed out of her this morning after she had her appointment yesterday afternoon. NOT using their services again anytime soon.

We had questions about an iguana before deciding to spend $1000 on him and tank set up. The staff went and grabbed a fellow who was an expert. He was kind and thorough with all of our questions. You could tell he honesty loves these animals and wants you to have the tools to keep them healthy. We left feeling confident and know he is just a call away

Oh my GOODNESSS!!! I just got out of Petco, and I can tell you if y’all need ANYTHING AT ALL FIND LEO THE MANAGER!!! He is such an amazing person, and so kind hearted❤️😭 I had to get nail clippers, and he also suggested me to get a dip just in case it bleed. My husband and I are currently not okay on the financial side, so I was figuring out money wise. LEMME ME TELL YOU THIS MAN IS AMAZING ON HELPING ME OUT!!! Thank you so much Leo!!😭 You are the people that make a difference in the world we live in today!! You are such a blessing! Again thank you so much❤️ We will most definitely be coming back again and again!❤️

I bought everything I needed to for our new cats. They had everything we needed, even GOOD food. When we found out I was allergic, they let me return everything I needed to return. I kept the receipts so it worked out wonderfully and very easy.

The store was a terrible mess. Carts of freight and fixtures on the sales floor and down the aisles. Merchandise out of place everywhere. The only help I saw was the one cashier. It was sad, normally their stores are in tip top shape.
