We had a great time. It was a beautiful day. If you venture off into the cove to the left we saw lots of wildlife and found a place to swim. Its absolutely beautiful. Only downside to it all is having to drag your kayak up and down the ramp. Only a small inconvenience though. I will definitely cone back again!

Booked online a friend and I decided last minute to enjoy beautiful Branson lakes and rivers. Easy online booking we booked for 11 am for a four hr trip. Our driver Sunday forgive I forgot his name but he was the only driver that day. He was great! Very informative about landmarks on our meet up place would be he was great and a fantastic sense of humor. Thanks for starting and ending our day with a smile. We will definitely be back.🤙✌️

My family had a great experience kayaking the Taneycomo. The temperature was 106 degrees but on the water it was much cooler. They had new kayaks and air conditioned vans. We had a great driver, Tony, that brought to and from the lake. The current had a nice flow to it, so we didn’t have to paddle very much. We got to take in the lake’s beautiful water and surrounding scenery. We had about two hours of fun before arriving at the designated pick up spot where Tony met us and drove us back to our car. My family has been on numerous kayaking trips and this location is one of the best so far because of their excellent service and a breathtaking environment. I highly recommend Kayak Branson for your kayaking adventure!

We enjoyed our 2 hour float on Lake Taneycomo. We were taken in a nice shuttle vehicle by Tony. He was a kind and safe driver, who explained explicitly the how to’s of this trip. The temp was very hot that afternoon, however the float was enjoyable due to the lake’s cool temp of 47 degrees year round. The current was perfect, and we merely steered our kayaks making it a relaxing float trip. There was very little water traffic. The water was beautiful and very clear, enabling us to see a multitude of trout. Tony timely picked us up once we reached our destination. The kayaks are new and comfortable. This was a unique and family friendly experience while in Branson. Highly recommend!

Great friendly staff. We cane in on a Sunday afternoon with no reservations, luckily they weren't thay busy and got us right on with an other couple. Great drop off and pick up points. We did the shorter route took just over 2 hours. The current on the river helps you go down the river.

Took the 4 mile ride, which was perfect. Staff was helpful and courteous and switched out kids to ride in kayaks to make it easier for them. They promptly picked us up when we called. A fun time!

We booked our Kayaking trip while we were here in Branson. I called and spoke directly with the owner Doug. He was very informative, helped us choose which kayaking trip would be best for us, provided all communication quickly and it was super simple to sign the waivers and pay online. We had some changes after booking and Doug accommodated us without difficulties Unfortunately, we all got food poisoning and couldn’t go. I informed Doug of this with a quick response back. Definitley will plan on booking with them the next time we are here!

Love this business! It was recently bought and now has new owners which are super Friendly and laid back. We had a great time. We went on the 4 hour kayak trip and we were driven to the drop off point, given clear instructions and were picked up super quick and driven back to our car. It was such a great time and there was a lot of wildlife to see.

Awesome experience! Not sure why one of the reviewers said there was an online form, but all we did was call and book a trip for 7. The office was well-managed and prompt to respond to us, the river ride was relaxing and safe, and the ride back was great. The owners are great people who clearly care a lot about their clients.

This low review isn't reflective of the 8-mile experience we had on the river (which was beautiful and worth the time), but the company's logistics. Since the driver scheduled for our 10am trip never arrived, one of the other Area 71 employees had to drive us to our start location 30 minutes late. After we finished our trip, we called the number on the kayak and were unable to reach anyone. We called the Area 71 store and they sent an employee who was near the end of their shift, and they informed us that there were about 10 people that were kayaking on the lake with no new employees coming to pick up the next shift, effectively leaving them stranded.If you decide to use this company for your kayaking tour, expect a coin toss as to whether you will encounter issues going to and from the drop-off and pick-up sites.

My husband and I booked a Kayak trip for the 2.5 hour trip. We were unsatisfied with the service and our overall experience. When we got off the van, the staff didn't do a safety brief with us and only provided a picture of where we were to call them once we reached the endpoint meaning that we would have to take our phones. They also hadn't checked to make sure each person was assigned to what boat they registered under. Both my husband and I planned on doing the sit-on kayaks, however, they didn't have enough for the whole group. They said that we could either take a sit-in Kayak or wait half an hour for them to go get another. We decided to wait the half hour for them to go get another Kayak. Once we got in the water, we realized how small each kayak was. My husband couldn't fit in properly and struggled to be comfortable while paddling the whole duration. The seat in his kayak was also falling apart. Once we almost reached the endpoint, my kayak had tipped over and we lost our bag with our phones, key, and wallet. When we got back, one of the staff members told us that the exact same thing had happened to another group just a few days before us. Overall, we did not have a good experience and we hope that the company does a better job in the future being prepared, having the proper kayaks that fit their customers, and having a better safety brief before they get into the water.

I get that everyone has a bad day, but this was pretty disappointing. It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review, but I'm pretty disappointed in this kayak trip. For starters, we were scheduled to leave at 10 and were asked to be there 15 min early. So we arrived 30 min early, and ended up leaving 30-45 min late. They were short a driver that day which was what everyone blamed as the cause of all the issues. We had reserved 2 sit on kayaks but we were told they were out of sit ons and instead they gave us 1 sit in and 1 sit on. Again, wouldn't be an issue if there weren't other problems with the trip. We were scheduled for the longest float, but elected to do the 2 hr float instead, which we were told was no big deal just to get out at the first stop with the others. Thank goodness we did, because us and all the other kayak groups were stuck waiting at the pickup point for over an hour. We were told they were attending to an emergency rescue because another customer's kayak was sinking and they were stranded. Again, we tried to be very understanding and gracious about this because we knew they were shorthanded and having an off day. At one point they did come and pick up half of the large group of us that had gathered at the pickup point by then, but they were supposedly only taking them to back to their vehicles (didn't even take kayaks to be unloaded) and then coming back to get the rest of us and the kayaks for pickup. They didn't return for more than 30 additional minutes than we had already been waiting; thankfully another outfitter felt sorry for us when they were there picking up their customers and offered to take us to our vehicles while 2 off duty Kayak Branson employees that had also completed the float waited with the kayaks. We were even looking at getting an Uber prior to the other outfitter's offer because we had been there so long and we had other things planned for the evening and needed to get back to our vehicle. We will not be doing a return trip with these guys but will choose a different outfitter instead.Again, I understand everyone has a bad day especially when short handed but from start to finish we felt like as customers we were the last priority and we'd rather take our business elsewhere.

Reserved a couple kayak's, and thought we would get in at our reservation time. When we arrived, we had no clue where to check in.The attendant was rude, not ready for our reservation, and did not communicate anything other than he was the only one on duty, despite motioning to two other staff and saying they were driving the shuttle as well. We were held up almost an hour and a half for our reservation.They seemed unorganized and lacked the proper infrastructure to operate an efficient business. Simply speaking to customers with respect would go a long way. It's understandable that backlogs happen, but not communicating the issues left me extremely dissatisfied with the experience.

Area 71 (Kayak Branson) is awesome! Make sure you grab food before you leave for your trip, as the made to order food is delicious.Nathan was a great guide. My wife and I took the 4 hour (completed in about 3) on Lake Taneycomo and had a blast. They were accommodating, punctual and friendly.

We utilized the shuttle as we had our own kayaks, we wanted to put in at the dam and get out at the landing, so we only needed someone to follow us to the landing so we could park our trailer and then bring us back to the dam, we appreciated the service, our only complaint would be, we were to meet the staff at area 71 at 9:00 and no one showed up til more like 9:20, and this must happen regularly cuz the cashier at area 71 made the comment that their arrival time varies……. It says a lot when you show up on time vs whenever you get around

rented two kayaks and they brought them to table rock, I went to the gas station next to it to book my reservation using their computer. everything went well. Just make sure you make reservations through their website

My husband and I expected a fabulous experience kayaking today. The Taneycimo was beautiful, but Kayak Branson spoiled the day. I made the reservations on line about 45 minutes before our 1 o’clock float. The pickup point is in the 71 ConocoPhillips station gift shop/convenience store. When we arrived at 1 o’clock we were directed by the cashier to sit at one of the cafe tables to be called. No one came to “collect us” until about 1:45. We weren’t really collected. We just noticed other people gathered around a laptop. When I stated we had been waiting 45 minutes and had to be back to our hotel by 5 pm, I was told that because we made the reservation late we weren’t expected. (Why then was our reservation t confirmed?). We decided to go on our 2-2.5 hour float anyway because we were told by the staff they would try to get us back quickly. Shortly after we got into our two person kayak, we had to pull back onto shore to adjust the back seat, which wouldn’t stay up to support the back of the back passenger.. We adjusted the straps as much as we could and managed to get back afloat. Shortly after getting back afloat, the problem seat cushion back strap snapped, so there was no longer any back support for the back passenger. Neither my husband nor I are overweight and responsible for this problem. We had been instructed to call a number for pickup once we saw a large building on the hills. We called when we passed by and were told we would be collected at Coffey Creek in about 20 minutes. There is a restroom there, but it smelled so bad and looked so dirty, even the men in the area relieved themselves in the woods. On a day when the temperature mid afternoon is in the mid 90s and there is no shelter, waiting was no fun..When no one called to pick us up after 30 minutes, I called again. After an additional 15-20 minutes someone finally came. No apologies were offered for the wait. We were just told by the pick up crew they had only been noticed 15 minutes earlier.

We took 24 people with us on a senior trip and the majority of the crew said that the Kayaking was the most fun out of a busy busy weekend. It was so peaceful (even with 18 rowdy teenagers) I would absolutely recommend this group to do your kayaking adventure. They took care of everything and met us at our destination to leave, loaded up everything, took us to our next destination, provided lunch, and was just all around nice people. We will be doing this again with our family soon.

When you say "tour" we expected a guide to show us the way. Nope. Complete misunderstanding .You rent the equipment, they drop you off, you're on your own from then on. Not recommended for beginners. We didn't bring our phones because we didn't want them to get wet. ( which they would have). They had no concern as to how we could contact them to pick us up after our "tour" was done. We borrowed a phone for pick up. 15 min wait turnedto 40. We asked strangers to drive our equipment back.

I do not recommend. One of our party members had a kayak with a leak, which resulted in him floating in ice cold water for close to 10 minutes and almost dying. Then, two different kayaks flipped over due to a problem with the balance (they said their kayak was leaning left the entire trip). To top it off, we waited over an hour for the shuttle to show up and pick us up, and another 25 minutes for the workers to load our kayaks. Use a different kayak company or you’ll waste your time and money.Edit: I’m glad you guys mentioned this in your comment; you didn’t even have enough life jackets for all of us! We were 3 or 4 short. Not sure if there are regulations against this or not but I don’t see this company staying afloat for very long if these conditions for their customers are continued.

We scheduled our tour the day before for 1pm and pre-paid online. Received my emailed receipt and several confirmation emails saying where to go and when to be there. So we showed up and the manger of Area 71 told us that there was no employees available to take us down and we could not go today. The manger said there was no one in that could give us a refund but took down my number and name. We left and 5 mins later received a call from the manger asking us to come back the employee came back and could take us. So we came back and sat down in the waiting area and they said 10 mins and we should be ready to go. The man came in talk to the coworkers in the back and said he “just doesn't want to bother with dropping and picking us up”. He came out lied to us and told us that the hitch is broken and would not be taking us today (even though we just saw him drive it around the building). The store manager let us have free fountain drinks but still don't have the 80$ I paid.Store manger was friendly but the kayak service very unorganized and unprofessional.Thank you for your apologies I am headed back home tomorrow and will not be able to reschedule.

I was super disappointed in my experience with Kayak Branson. They didn’t show up to pick us up for our scheduled time and I had to call them several times to check. We waited for 45 minutes before anyone showed up and finally found out they were having vehicle issues-this was not conveyed when I first called.

We had an amazing time on the river, the guy that took care of us, Alex I believe was his name was super friendly and answered all our questions. I will definitely go back to see them next time I'm in Branson!!
