This store has improved so much since Don has become the manager. He’s so caring with the customers, his employees talk good about him, and they seem always happy to be at work.A huge difference between the other stores sad to say. I’m not sure if these are owned by the same people or not. But I’m thankful for this store and all the employees!

The staff is always incredibly friendly, and very helpful. I would have given it 5 stars, but sometimes it feels a little cluttered, which sometimes makes it difficult, to find the things, for which you are looking. However, those same employees, are more than willing to walk with you, to show you exactly where the item you're looking for, is located. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends.

Well, it's Dollar general. The one in Bolivar Missouri on Springfield avenue is my go-to place for a quick in and out. I've seen my share of nice cashiers and work staff. I've also seen my share of those that should not be working with a type of crude attitude. If I'm writing the store for prices then yes it's a good place to get quick things and get out. If I were going to rate the people, that may be a different story.

Cashier and Manager were extremely rude at the Springfield Ave location. I asked to take an item off because I didn’t bring enough money with me and thought I had enough because wrong shelf tag said something different. Cashiered acted like it was such an inconvenience to take it off and Manager was the same. Won’t go back to that location again.

Employee was not helpful when i asked for help. I was on my mobility scooter, looking for a product i had seen advertised on TV. Employee said they had never heard of it. Go look on aisle 2. Aisle 2 was not accessible due to empty boxes and a display. I again returned to the employee for help. I was told again how she had already told me she had never heard of the product instead of helping me with access. I just left.

Love all three stores that Bolivar has. Unique employees at each one and very smart on closing hours of 8, 9, and 10pm. I'm able to have options on which store to go to based on the time remaining until closing time.

I bought 5 one liter bottles of Brisk sweet tea, got home(40 min.) away, opened 2 bottles, they had a strange taste, so I looked at the dates on them & they had expired 11 months earlier! Wasted $5.00 it wasn't worth my gas to drive all the way back into Bolivar.

I use to love this place. It was ran by locals that knew everyone and knew where everything was. Now it's being ran into the ground by the new manager, Bonnie Thomas. She is rude to customers, threatens children and has no clue where anything is/what they sell. I now drive an extra 15 miles to a different store.

Although the employees were very nice, stuff did not ring up right and they turn off half the lights inside off an hour before closing, I could not see what I needed and ended up tripping over some stuff that was brought in from outside because I couldnt see clearly. The middle lights and the perimeter lights were off. Also there was a sign up saying spend $5 on ice cream comes from nestle and get a $5 coupon printed on the receipt. Did not get a coupon and ehen asked they said that it was nestle's problem.

More organized than pleasant hope. Nicer manger too. Cashier s are super in Bolivar and pleasant hope. Shelves are more stocked up than pH!!!!!

Had a hard time finding what I wanted, but have only been in this store 3 or 4 times. It was clean and the clerk was polite and helpful.

Lot of big clearance sales. Saved 50% on almost everything I needed. If you do DGdigital coupons, they can be a pain in the btt. They dont always honor them.

Prices comparable to Walmart quantities are differant but price reflects it. Great to use coupons and 5off register reciept from earlier in week to stock up on stuff

Unfortunately it was one of the most crowded aisle, claustrophobic Dollar General stores I have ever been in. Stopped for cleaning supplies and found what we needed but don't look forward to going back. Sorry but this store needs an update badly.

This was a typical Dollar General. No difference than most of them and they're popping up everywhere. Nothing extraordinary about it, and nothing terribly wrong with it. Just your typical Dollar General Store.
