This is literally the best pet store ever. The selection of animals is superior to any I've been in and they have tons of puppies. The fact that you can sit in a cubicle and play with any pet you want is super cool. The puppies seem healthy and happy and come with everything you need but are still overpriced in my opinion. There is a good selection of birds and other small animals. Employees are always really nice and helpful and we look forward to coming here every time we're in the area.

UPDATE: They are now no longer selling saltwater fish, the tanks are being disassembled & converted into freshwater. The tanks that are still set up look even worse than the pictures below. So disappointing.This place doesn’t treat animals very good if at all. All of the dogs are kept in small cages & they usually have 2 dogs together sometimes 3. The fish part of the store has gone way down hill. The tanks used to be so vibrant, clean, & filled with pretty & healthy fish! Now it looks horrible and the selection of fish isn’t the same! I think they have a different person working with the fish now unfortunately. Other than going to this pet store just the other day, the last time i was in this store was a few months ago & the ball pythons in their enclosures all had no water and were covered in stuck shed. When I looked at the ball pythons when I visited the other day the poor babies looked exactly the same, with no water and stuck shed. I absolutely hate giving this company my service but sometimes they are the only place that has crickets available and every time I come here I am almost always disappointed. Please listen to the other negative reviews! They’re there for a reason! Please buy your puppies from breeders!

We went here after we were at Legends of Asia which is good but they've got bad water! Anyway the minute I opened the door I was hit with a blast of air that I could not describe I choked gagged had to wait till I caught my breath again! I felt as though when I left I was taking the stench with me! I don't recommend walking in the place, and if you send your kids they may not come back cuz they get to play with the animals! Believe me I've been to the zoos pet breeders, animal shelters and never have I been hit with such a stench! God bless those poor people that work there!

I often take the kid I nanny to pet stores but this is the worst one. Staff is rude, they don’t care about the animals. Birds were outside of their enclosures fighting with other birds. We walked back to the dog area and the some of the staff were just laying in the dog pins on their phones. The Dalmatian they have right now looks seriously ill, she was shaking so bad. I feel so badly for the dogs here. Won’t be back to this one.

This place is terrible and their dogs are sick and in cages and it’s so sad! We watched one of the workers slam a dogs leg in the cage and hurt it. Why would anyone want to buy a dog from this overpriced place! One of the dogs had gunk in its eyes and nose and it looked so sick. I feel sorry for the animals here and anyone that works here. Shame on all of you for condoning this!

They won't tell you the price unless you ask the pet one inside of one of their little crates. That's how you know this place is ridiculously priced 3k a dog. Not to mention when you use words like adoption. At a place you're obviously just buying a dog. Give me a break, don't play on my emotions.

Just talked to Emma on the phone. She displayed amazing customer service and was very helpful with every question I had. I have been calling around looking for bunnies and she’s the only associate so far who has actually checked for me. Very friendly!!

I love this petstore! Only reason to not give a 5 star is bc a younger worker was poking the poor birds with a stick for over 40 min and the poor thing was so scared. Please make sure your workers are caring for the pets. :(

My 5 year old child was bit by a hamster in the store, drawing blood. An associate said “he’s a bit nippy”. I emailed later to ask “why do you have an ‘nippy’ animal in reach of children?” They replied with a voicemail saying “we saw you submitted a request for one of our puppies. Please call back and we can set up an appointment.” Seriously? Obviously they didn’t care to read my email or that my child was bit. Not going back.

We've been shopping here for awhile buying live foods for our lizard, but today we visited the store because we're taking in a dog with very little notice. We needed everything to house and care for a dog from the ground up. Many people stopped to try and share their ideas and recommendations on what stuff to get. It's not even kinda comparable with one of the larger chain, pet, stores. These guys clearly want to do the best job they can, and it shows. Kudos, and thank you, Petland!

I went here today to get a dozen crickets for my tarantula. It was about 1 when I pick them up. I am now leaving work. They have been in my office all day. it is been about three and a half hours and they are all dead. There should be no reason for that. I have worked in pet care and we bagged crickets and they last all day in the bag.I called petland to see if I could get a replacement on them and to ask if there was anything wrong with their crickets. Because I have never had crickets die that quickly in my entire life. She said they do not guarantee their cricket's but I could come in and get new ones if I could make it today. I cannot make it today. And I honestly do not trust the quality of these crickets. If they can die that quickly for no reason I do not think that I should feed them to my animals. I think they may be poisoned or something. They should not have all died. There was not a single live one in the bag. That is very worrisome. Do not buy feeder insects here. It is not worth risking your animals life.

Probably the worst experience, not our first puppy we are not novice. But be careful purchasing at puppy here make sure you request a full breakdown of the purchase l, the kid tried to get us on a puppy plan (even though that can usually useful to new owners that are starting to zero). When we said that we were going to go to a different location the price kept changing till it got to something that we wanted to pay. The kid had lack of knowledge and no supervisor in sight and zero customer service. We also left with the puppy we later found out we should had left with her because they didn’t have all of the puppies paperwork. I come back a week later to get whatever paperwork we should’ve received the of, and no one knew why I was there. Kudos to the girl that helped me still no solution but at least she tried - her manager would not come out - to where she had to call a manager that didn’t even work today to get help.They gave me screen shot print outs of my puppies paperwork - truth is I don’t even think my mini bernadoodle is a full breed. Shady.

My wife and I had been looking for a papillon for months. Couldn't get a legitimate breeder to call us back. When this little guy showed up we went for him right away! Everyone was very nice and helpful. A really great experience.

This store has stuff for cats, dogs, rabbits, ginneau pigs, fish, lizards, and geckos. There is stuff for any pet you could imagine along with adoption options, they had dogs, rabbits, and ginneau pigs there today! They also have free samples of dog food that you can take. At the register they even had tumblers that you could call and have your pet put on one!

When I walked in I was initially greeted with a wave of “pet store” that’s unlike any store I’ve ever been in. The one fan they have is not doing anything. The stench seemed to be coming from uncleanliness and dirty towels and/or dog beds. I struggled to the aquatic section through the odor. The neon tetras were priced 2.99 or 3 for 6.99. I attempted to offer to by 30 of them for 52.50 which would be 1.75 per fish. A fair deal since I was buying basically the entire shipment. Unfortunately they didn’t accept the offer and missed out on a for sure sale and 52+ dollars.I don’t feel comfortable coming back and wouldn’t recommend the store.

Went there for a walk around to play with the puppies. Very nice and playful. They're still teething and clumsy but very playful. 10/10

If I could give PETLAND Blue Springs zero stars. I would. I purchased a Great Dane 8 weeks this past Monday from Sem Botts one of their counselors. After a few days the dog began to vomit etc. I had taken him to my vet and was told PETLAND was the worst place I could’ve purchased a puppy; pure breed or not. Chosen was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for several days; not knowing if he would make it back home. My son and I just lost his father to gun violence. Upon speaking to the shift Manager Brock who could’ve cared less if the dog lived or died continued to say call the claims/warranty number. I did. I couldn’t understand why is it this lady is yet to call back so I called PETLAND back and asked why is it taken so long for the emergency after hours care person to call back his response “it can take up to 1-3 business days. I tell you do not I repeat do not purchase a puppy for yourself and/or children here. It will only lead to devastation and financial distress. Nevertheless, I am sure the per counselor Sem had one hell of a commission check from Chosen. I am certain the conscience of the people who work for PETLAND are little to none.

They sold us a dying puppy for $3300. We will never come back here. Ever. We are barely keeping our dog alive and we’ve had him for 2 weeks. 2 weeks.This store has costed us an immense amount of grief and money and when you try to discuss what to do? They magically don’t answer your emails anymore. They take your money and run. I have reported them to the state for abuse and poor conditions not to mention my large social following. Our poor baby has been in constant suffering and is hanging on by a thread. They can’t even answer a simply freaking email about what to do about our loan if he passes. Don’t come here, don’t even think of coming here. For god sakes, don’t adopt here or let your family adopt here. Not unless you want a suffering dog infested with round worm and has late stage puemonia, late stage kennel cough and a heart murmur. They lied to us even about the deworming and vaccines. He had never had them according to actual vets (Trust me, we’ve been to multiple). Please avoid Petland at all costs.

The gentleman who helped me was nice. The place was clean. But when I asked about the price of a puppy I was told $1600. Then after checking on something else with his manager I was told the price was $3900!Really?!? That's a big difference!
