No notice of a nail being clipped too short and blood dripping from my dogs paw before I arrive. A call should have been made to prepare me for this. Instead I'm made aware as a groomer is putting the blood clotting powder on her nail and I have to ask what happened. The nail was very noticeably cut very short.

My dog doesn't need much grooming, mostly just nail trims (because I'm always too scared to do that myself). Petco does a great job, their prices are reasonable, and I can usually get an appointment quickly and easily. I like the "Mini Make Rover", as they trim and buff, clean her ears, put on a paw balm, and she gets a nice scented spritz. She LOVES going to Petco. When we start getting close to the building, she starts whining and then practically sprints inside and goes straight to the grooming check in desk. So I know they take great care of her when she's in the back (plus I can see her back there, which I like). I usually fill her a bag of treats from the treat bar, so that always helps, as well. :)

Fantastic service. Megan (girl with colorful hair and side shaved) has extremely great service. She's very helpful every time I have questions and is very knowable about almost every reptiles and pet there. Very impressed when I bought my first reptile from her. Now I own 4 because of her service. Other staff members are really friendly.

Amazing staff, especially this one lady who took the time to educate my kids on any animal they asked about and took us to a room to see a tiny chameleon that's too small to sell. My kids want to go back just to talk to her about animals again! She definitely made us returning customers!

Its me leaving another review. So i attempted to go to a different location for my furbabies to be groomed only to find out that Petco Red flagged us because of the review we left 2 weeks ago. So i called into corporate last Thursday 5/26/2022 to see why we was red flagged i was told that a manager would have to call me back submitted a request to get more information and a call back... still haven't received a call nor email... don't take your furbabies here for grooming. Communication is HORRIBLE and who know how they're treating your FUR BABY.....

The girls in the grooming dept. were very nice, and caring with my dog, I felt very comfortable that good care would be given to my little dog. So happy I made the right choice. This will be my place to go for all for all my dogs grooming needs.

Leo was super helpful with knowledge on my Guinea pig and had so many tips to get me by with my new pet ! It was a very busy day and she took the time to give me all the knowledge I needed on my new pet ! I would definitely recommend her service to anyone with any pet ! Such a stellar experience! Management should be in her future because she was so helpful!

I bought my baby bearded dragon there. My little guy wasn't eating for about 3 weeks so I asked them what I should do and they told me to bring him in and they will issue store credit and then once they take him to the vet and he gets better we will be able to buy him back and take him home. I took him there on Thursday and had not heard anything from them all weekend. So today, Monday, I call the store. First they don't tell me about the right bearded dragon, but when I finally find out about my bearded dragon, I find out that he has passed away the day that I brought him to them and did not make it to the vet before he passed. I understand that he had passed, but what I am really upset about is why not call and let me know? Why would you have me write down all my information, because he is a part of the family, and not even have the courtesy to call me and let me know that a part of my family has passed. I was sitting there all weekend waiting for the phone call to tell me I could come pick him up. And when Monday morning comes around and I have to call YOU to find out that my baby bearded dragon had passed away. You will not have my business and I will see that I let as many people as possible know about your care and responsiveness when it comes to keeping families informed about their pets when they are in your care. I wish there was a negative side to these stars.. Just horrible.

I went in to this Petco today in hopes of getting my niece a hamster/gerbil. When I went to find help a larger woman in a red shirt asked if I needed help. when I told her, "small rodents "she made the assumption it was for snake food, because I typically come in every 2 weeks to feed my snake. However, without asking me why I wanted a hamster/gerbil she told the woman in the blue shirt that I wanted it as a feeder. which is not the case.however, again without anyone asking my intentions she too assumed it was for feeding, and told me, "I can't sell you anything besides mice as a feeder." At this point I was frustrated, and made my intentions clear since no one seemed to care about the customer. On the way back to the creatures, I was pulling up a photo of my niece to prove my claim.However, the lady in blue (manager on duty [I think her name was amanda]) still didn't seem like she wanted to help me. so I left.When I called to voice my complaint she answered and told me, "my name is Amanda, I am the manager on duty so..."since she still didn't seem to care I hung up and will call tomorrow.

The groomers were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Nicole did a wonderful job on my Lhasa Apso Buddy Bear Clark. What I like the most is that I didn't have to leave Buddy there all day long.

The girl that was grooming my boys greeted them by name as we got there. I feel doing that makes my boys feel more comfortable. I appreciate that even if it's small. Boys looked great and smelled good! My poor boys were in pretty rough shape because of the long time we had to wait to get an appointment but that's not on Petco.. just COVID. Thank you for keeping my puppos comfortable!

Nice people, clean, I was very impressed with how ADA compliant the bathroom was and clean. Only the doorway to that area is tricky, but an easy fix. I was surprised to find my dogs allergy medicine at small for the price of a large.

I was surprised about their warranty on small pets. We bought a hamster and while filling out the paperwork were told that if it gets sick in the next 30 days that we can bring it back, it will be taken to the vet til it's all better and then given back to up. No other pet shops have gone that far. We will definitely come back.

The young woman who was working the front, cash register, came on the floor with me to be certain I was getting what I needed this time. I had a huge bag of Hills Science food that my Chihuahua would NOT eat, it's a big deal for me because I'm on a VERY limited income & $40 is alot of groceries for me.I wish I had her name & will continue to look for it. I'd like corporate to know this employee is very special & deserves some recognition! My Zoey 🐾 loves her food again☺

Great experience! It was my dog, Yodas, first time being groomed and they did EXCELLENT with him. He had gotten in to some sticky cheesecake and was super sticky and covered, and he came out a whole new dog! Being a pomeranian, he has some separation anxiety but they made him feel so comfortable!! And, as a first time dog mom, I gotta say I was a little nervous for my baby to be away from me for so long in the hands of someone else, but they were so sweet and reassuring that he was doing great! Our groomer even let us know about a possible tooth issue so we could get him scheduled with our vet to look at. When he came out, he was incredibly excited, smelled amazing, and is SO soft. We will definitely be returning. Huge thank you to the wonderful ladies working today, on 3/24/2019, Yoda and I appreciate you so much!!

took our dog to get groomed today, got a call 2 hours later that she had thrown up and was having an anxiety attack and they would not cut her. when we went to go and get her, her breathing was more labored than i have ever heard it and she is traumatized. we've taken her to many different places--most commonly petsmart--and she's never come back acting this way. we're not sure what they did to her, or if something is wrong, but shes never done anything like this and i would not recommend to anyone, especially if their dog is naturally skittish or anxious.
