BRUH let me tell you something I eat a lot of cheeseburgers at a lot of different places(it’s kind of my thing) and if Sherwood eats and the Sherwood classic is not on your top 10 burger list, then there’s something wrong with you and I need to see your list!!The wait staff is well kept and easy on the eyes and the owner of the joint makes you feel like family! AAAND they got BUBBLE ICE-IYKYK!!!

I've been here a handful of times. Burgers and fries have always been my go-to, the Woody's hot rod and the bacon-cheddar burgers are the ones I typically get. Mushroom and Swiss is good but not earth-shattering. The steak sandwich was pretty good; not overcooked. Fries have always been perfectly crispy, no salt added which is nice so you can salt to your tastes. I tried one of the chimney cakes and it wasn't my thing. Just a giant, cream-filled cinnamon-sugar pastry. The menu mentioned other flavors that sounded better, but when I was there it was basically just what they had in a refrigerated case. I did try a chicken tenders once and they were awful, basically what you find in the frozen food aisle at any grocery store. Maybe they're better now, but I'll just stick to one of the burgers.Atmosphere is a bit goofy, caricatures of celebrities are all over the place. Service is always pretty good. The dining room is separated from the adjoining gas station by a metal gate so if the gas station is busy it gets noisy.This is a solid 3.5 stars place, rounded up since it's a place I'd recommend.

I almost don't want to write this review, for fear it will become too popular! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Staff is friendly, food is FANTASTIC (we haven't had one bad thing here yet) and the atmosphere is sooooo cool! Movie caricature paintings are all over - my favorite is The Princess Bride :-) Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

We all had breakfast items on our first visit. Everything was fresh and delivered piping hot. There were a couple of issues with add-ons missing but the waitress was quick to correct the orders. There restaurant is clean but it's not a big venue. Some of the seating is also right by the door so you're constantly assaulted by drafts as people come and go, which when it's frigid outside isn't appealing.The quality of the food was good enough we'll likely come back and try the burgers at a later date.

We Pulled in to get gasoline at the station attached to this unusual stop. I was hungry and was hoping to find an all beef hot dog that had rolled around on the warmer until it was slightly crispy outside, without luck. Among Further exploration I found an Sherwood's to be a diner with some very cool caricature art. An odd but mix of celebrities on various sized canvases that made intriguing fun decor. So entertaining it was a few mins before I spotted another item unique to me. This looked similar to a large creme horn, big enough for two and came in a variety of appealing favors. As one who loves sweets and foreign to their existence I immediately purchased one in cheesecake flavor for the hubby and I to split. I thought they only sold these until I noticed a couple eating non sweet items. We checked the menu out, finding typical diner type foods with full menu all day and decided to give it a shot. The lady working was super friendly and informative and they more than satisfied my craving for a decent hot dog. I've never seen a chili dog with the girth of the beast they sat before me after a short wait. It was so filling I couldn't handle the free side of fries that came with it. If I had known I would not have had them add chili and cheese to them, but I was still impressed as was the husband. Great place to fill up both the tank and the tummy.

Thanks to Ashley for making evert time we are there and knowing what we want to drink and most of the time know what we want to eat. Make sure you don't pass this restaurant up just because it's by a gas station because you will be passing up great food for a reasonable price. It's a local place.Thanks Ashley and good luck as a first responder... Respect for you.

My wife ordered a BLT and chose to have it as a wrap.It had no mayo or sauce of any kind, and the bacon was crumbles, like pre-cooked from a bag. The whole thing was falling apart as she ate it. She chose to just suffer through it, rather than ask for a remake.I wish I would've taken a picture of the mess.Our French fries were also undercooked.The kid in the kitchen may not have known any better. He literally looked like he was 16 or 17 years old, and he's trying, so I respect that. Maybe, some basic training would help?Our server was kind and attentive, although quite young, too.I might give them another shot, but I won't make a special trip for it.

This place is a gem in your area! Yeah yeah it's a gas station dinner. But, and I Say a Big BUT. One of the best dinners in the st.louis region. It is family owned. She get her bread from the best place, her poultry from only the best place. And most of all her desserts are made to top you off. The wings have a homemade sauce that will one day win a competition. Again I drove 40 minutes for this place, and would always be happy to go any time.Thank you Tiffany for giving us this place south of Arnold. Yeah go past Arnold for this!

I come for years. I drive a school bus and order to go as I come with not a lot of time. They usually make the food pretty quickly so I take about five minutes and eat a few bites since I don’t have the time to be waited on I just eat and leave and I do not leave anything behind as I was there the last time I ordered to go, just like I normally do sat down to have just a few bites, and I was told that I was not allowed to sit there if I had to go order as I explained to her that I don’t have a whole Lotta time so I just eat a few bites and go she did not care nor say anything to me but then I had to leave because I had to go order. This makes no sense but she has lost lots of customers now since I have lots of friends that come there , they also made a burger that was raw for me and remade it which was fine, but took longer and did not say anything and I paid full price for my meal I will not come to this restaurant any longer And I hope people think twice about going there and ordering to go as if you change your mind, you will not be able to sit there Or if you don’t have a whole Lotta time, you cannot just sit there for a few minutes and then leave
