Counter people were nice and professional. Yard guys were great. One bag on the bottom of the pallet of heating pellets was broken open. The yard guys made good without one word from me. This kind of service is rare. Thanks to the crew at Hirsch in Ava. I'll be back. Jon

Only 3 stars because they have a very small store and almost no parking. Seriously need to address the parking issue. Otherwise prices are decent and service is good.

Buy my parrot food and grain and minerals for my horses here. Love the atmosphere, staff is always friendly and it is nice that they call you by your first name as soon as they learn it. A true blessing for our small community, a great family owned business that serves us very well.

Great prices good products. I'm feeding hogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. If (rarely) one of the guys splits a bag even the slightest hole they replaced it, most of the time without my request. The way customer service should be!

Being a city girl with a city girl daughter, I was clueless when she sent me there for supplies for her new chicks. Their employees were all very helpful once they found out I was new to the country life. I was a little embarrassed to admit it, but honesty was the best policy. I also purchased bird seed at a fraction of the cost at Walmart. My new go to place for so many of those kinds of things.

The prices, selections, and availability make this convenient feed location a favorite shop for my budget as a small hobby farmer. Same quality feeds as places like tractor supply's dumor or producers pride brand directly from the mill at better prices and closer to home. We buy solely from them and our pedigreed show goats look great and are doing just as well.

Our rabbit feed is from Heath and Sons-- it is by far the best feed we have ever had. I have bought several different brands and this is the best! The feed is actually green and I don't think it has any corn in it (if it does, it is very little!) Our rabbits attack the feed! If I lived closer I would try some of their other feed, but we live north of Springfield.

I worked at Heath and son and I quit cause I got a better paying job well when I quit I herd from three people from there I i got fired cause I didn't do anything well if you say that clean blenders and cleaning up messes from people that have been working there for over 30 years is not doing anything then I don't know what it is but I know I quit I didn't get fired
