Met family here for Mother's day. Nice relaxing atmosphere . This use to be the Augusta Brew Haus.A nice place to stop along the Katy trail. The drinks are cold and the pizzas are hot. A beer & a bottle water was $9.2 personal pizzas & salad were about $30.

Nice spot to stop for some brews during a ride on the Katy Trail. Plenty of places to put your bike on the lower level but watch out for some deep patches of gravel if you ride your bike into the bike rack area. The patio has plenty of covered seating and a nice bar area.

Really enjoy going to Good News. Decent sized menu. Good spot to stop and watch the Katy Trail from the patio. Good beer selection. Wide variety of beer. The pizza is very good. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stop for a full meal per se, as the portions are a little small, but my husband and I love stopping here while walking or cycling on the Katy.

Excellent seasonal beer selection. Their brick-oven fired pizza selection is exceptional and the waitstaff/bartenders are very friendly. The improvements that have been made to this place are exceptional so far and I’m looking forward to what the future has to bring. I’m glad they chose this location for the third brewery. I’m just glad the Hoffman’s haven’t ruined this business too.

Beautiful day to stop and have lunch. Had a wood fired pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese. My husband and I loved it. Also had their nachos with chicken. My husband and I split there...he said just okay and I absolutely loved them. Sat outside in the sun and then under the umbrella at the table and looked out over the Katy Trail. Just an awesome afternoon. The young lady that waited on us was nice and very helpful. And the two young ladies in the kitchen that prepared our food were as well. Highly recommend this stop along the Katy Trail.

Beer is good but food was below average, no flavor on the pizza. Buy the drinks and save on the food, just pack snacks for yourself if you bike there.

Great stop right off the Katy trail. Good beer and small personal pizzas.

Loaded nachos were great. Probably not a place to stop for a meal unless you want pizza.

Great spot on the Katy Trail. Good beer and great pretzels. It has indoor and outdoor seating for whatever mood you’re in. Worth a stop in if you want to try some local beers.

Hey owners! It’s not just about the beer. You screwed up the landscaping from the backyard flavor of Augusta brewing. Here today all washed out weeds everywhere get with it and make this a worthwhile venue. There’s plenty of people that would like to come out here if you have an attractive landscaped area. Not just the concrete jungle.

Stopped here for lunch during our final day on the Katy Trail. Menu only had a fruit platter and a meat platter for appetizers and pizza. Pizza was a common meal along the trail and after 4 meals, that wasn't appealing. After ordering the fruit and meat platter, we were met with 5 pieces of sliced salami and pepperoni and cheese for 11 dollars. The drinks are normal for a brewery but the food is seriously lacking. The fruit and veggies box only had grapes, apples, celery and carrots and the meat box was the same thing. The true gem of this area is the small red caboose 12 miles down the trail. We were extremely excited to eat here, drink here and enjoy the atmosphere but were instead met with disappointment. No wonder this place is struggling. 1 star for atmosphere, 1 star for the beer and no stars for food, but we didn't order any pizza.

This was our first time at this location and we will definitely be back! The service was fantastic as was the pizza. We also enjoyed all the beers we tried, including being pleasantly surprised that we loved the butterscotch cream ale which ended up being our favorite of the day. I do wish there was a wider variety of beer choices like at the other locations but we were very pleased with our experience.

Spent a lot of money on physical plant after acquiring from Augusta Brewery, but the menu far inferior, no burgers, no dogs, pizza only hot food. No fries. Only 2 wines to pick from, bottle only, not by glass. Dog friendly on patio. Fritz’s only soft drink, no fountain beverages, no diet soda.

The cider I had was perfect, and the food was really quick and really good. I've been underwhelmed by the Good News in Defiance (slow service and meh food), but the one in Augusta? Awesome!

We've been with Good News since the beginning so this company has a special place in our heart. As a new location, the menu is a bit limited but that's to be expected as you find your footing. We had excellent beer and pizza as usual and the staff was great!

We loved Augusta brewery. We were so excited for a new brewery to take its place. After a couple of trips to Good News I am disappointed with the replacement. We have been here Friday and Saturday nights and there is no ambiance or even the hint of fun. Tables and patio were covered in dirt. I know that it is outside and don’t expect things to be white glove clean, but there was clearly no effort to wipe off bugs and dirt from the table. No music. Limited beers. Poor service with the bartender hiding inside. I sincerely hope they can turn things around.
