Fun. Orderly. Packed with many usable options and project possibilities that encourage the weekend warriors to combat the challenges of any dwelling. It is also a great go-to place for the independent home construction guru looking for that one-piece, bolt, nut, or replacement tool to complete the job. Good place. Ask about any unusual items to see if they stock it or if they can get it. Always look for that unique thing that only fits in a place like this.Apparently, the store is up for sale with the strong intention of selling this year... too bad if it turns into something else, as a good hardware store is very difficult to find.Good luck, guys. You, the owners, have done an outstanding job with keeping the spirit of what a really helpful store is, and what it can mean to those of us who depend on the discoveries that end up on your shelves.

Home town kind of guys. I pulled up and they already closed 2 hours before and I had no idea, they saw me coming and met me outside. He took care of me and sold me the item I was there for. Super nice guy. Love the updates to the store since I placed last been in.

I only gave it four stars because they don't have TONS of stuff. What they do have is a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. They helped me out a lot when I built my shop and they are my go to place for most of my hardware uses.I loathe going to Columbia to the big box stores, I just wish these guys had more stock, but I understand as it is a small town hardware store.So in short if they have it you need to get it from them.

Just love going here. This is run by a group of regular people just like me and you. Hang around here long enough and you'll hear the classic story of the big one that got away from another customer. Also forgot to mention this isn't just your average lumberyard slash hardware store. You can also get farm fresh eggs. And no I don't work here.

Very friendly and helpful employees. I showed up right at closing time on a Friday with a complicated problem and they took care of me even though it's been 35 years since my family has done business with them.

Last year a storm came through town and took out a section of my fence. I was able to find the 6" screws I needed and a couple of extra bits to fix that fence right here in town at Sentinel. They have just what you need without having to drive all the way to Jeff city or Columbia.
