We make a yearly pilgrimage to see an always wonderful, high quality play and get a great meal. Best production of A Christmas Carol I have ever seen! We will be back in the summer, some more great shows coming up! Every show we see at The Lyceum is stellar, never disappoints! We went twice this year! The Adams Family and Bright Star, both enchanting and flawless.

I loved seeing the Addam’s Family at the Lyceum. It is a quaint old church, but it is bigger on the inside! The staff do a great job of managing the crowd and the house was packed. The performance was brilliant, engaging, funny, and well cast. There are drinks available at the concession stand (Beer, Wine, soda, water). The bathrooms are clean. There is no official parking lot. Just pull off the side of the road somewhere in town and walk. Very few handicap spots, so if you will need this accommodation get there early.

The performance of Jersey Boys was absolutely amazing today! So much talent and not a bad seat in the house. This is my second time at the Lyceum and it won’t be the last. I love this theater!

I just finished the play for A Christmas Carol, and I have to say I was blown away!! This was my first time to see a live play, and this theater did not disappoint!! The actors were amazing, beautiful voices, and the artwork of the makeup and stage items were great!! I definitely recommend going here if you haven't. I plan on taking my boyfriend here as well and the town is small, but has beautiful stores, a small museum and 2 restaurants I plan on trying as well. I hope you and your family can enjoy it as much as I did!!

We come here quite often to see real people acting out shows. We always have a good time here. It is in a very nice quiet town, not the big city atmosphere. The actors are very knowledgeable about their parts, and always put on a good show, some times after the show you might see them out and about. We have been coming to this theater for a few years now and we enjoy all there is to do and see here.

The performance of "Sherwood" was THE reason we visited Arrow Rock, MO. I am certain we will be back for another performance. The acting, sets and venue were all first class, quite unexpected in such a rural, tiny town in the Midwest. The building was a church at one time, which adds a ton of charm. Seating is comfortable and there is a good number of options for refreshments beforehand, however the prices are too high imo. After the show, there are some great restaurants and shops to check out.

2 hour 15 minute drive from West St Louis County, 3rd time, and we enjoyed JERSEY BOYS. Street parking from the charming village to the theater but virtually no food options. Comfortable seating in an intimate space and with a stage floor a little lower than most front rows have good sight lines. Both bathrooms are located in narrow hallway that leads to house left seating. Exiting is easier to the front on either side. We attend matinees to avoid the long drive home in the dark.

While camping at the nearby park, we came to town to eat lunch at the historic Tavern restaurant (so very special and delicious) and asked why we needed reservations to eat there. We were told about the local performance of the Agatha Christie play, "Murder on the Orient Express", one of my favs. We went to the lovely theater to inquire about tickets and they the friendly staff said they just had a cancellation on the FRONT ROW! We grabbed them up ($40 with senior discount), and returned after a short shopping trio on their lovely Main Street. The performance was sold out and superb! It was a very professional performance and an enjoyable afternoon. We hope to return and be one of the 415 people that still appreciate truly artistic activity in the havoc of this crazy world.

Excellent!! The talent that comes to Arrow Rock, Mo to perform at this theater are exceptional. The Director and the entire staff is amazing, they are always professional and knowledgeable. We have been attending plays here for the past three years and this past year we attend every single show. We recommend the trip to all our friends and family!! Thank you Lyceum!!

The theater is over 60 years old so that is taken into consideration. I didn't do enough investigating before going to realize there aren't snacks with the concessions, that is unfortunate. They don't allow open cups in the theater so you're pretty much limited to their souvenir cup for $12.50. I'll be back to enjoy the shows but being my first time it was a bit disappointing.

I love this theater's performance selection. Real entertainment without the bash America themes put forward by some other theater venues. Plus the historical flavor of the village of Arrow Rock. Shops and restaurant are worth the time to explore.

Amazing performances and lovely lobby, which is much more than a lobby. Great outdoor spaces too. Food and beverages (including adult beverages you can take into show) did not disappoint. The theater is quaint with plush seating. Picked a play and it was the beat one I've ever seen and I've seen shows in Picadilly, Times square, and Chicago. Top notch acting!

I've never cried at a play, but the fabulous performances of a Christmas Carol were so moving, I couldn't help it. The theatre has wide comfortable seats, wine and snacks available in a bright sunny foyer. Go early and enjoy this lovely town.

Love the modern season lineups they present... a little on the pricey side, though. I understand it's because they're hiring paid professional actors and tech crew, but I've seen community shows with similar qualities and much less expensive tickets. For such a rural area, the price doesn't make it affordable & accessible to a lot of people. The seats are also incredibly close... I literally rub elbows and spend a good chunk of the show trying to shift into different positions to avoid touching the person in the seat next to me. And don't even plan on using the ladies restroom unless it's during the show, because you'll be in line 10-15 minutes or more. They've discontinued paper programs to avoid the expense, which I get... sort of. They've replaced it with a digital format accessible by a QR code you can scan. However, if you're going to digitize programs in an area without mobile service, make sure you have the bandwidth to support your entire audience. We couldn't access the program because their wi-fi was maxed out.Overall, it is a good theatre and I always enjoy the show. It's just... for $50/ticket, it would be nice to view the program, use the restroom, and not be sitting on top of the stranger next to you. Seems like lots of money being spent on the theatrics and not the overall audience experience, which comes off a bit self-serving.

Just saw The Texas Tenors there today. Wonderful as always. Beautiful fall day for a scenic drive to a theater that is a gem in the midwest. Charming. Hope you have these talented singers again and again!

Incredible venue and very intimate setting for the arts. Professional theater at its finest, I would recommend this place over wasting your time and driving all the way to KC or STL to see the same show. Make sure you book your tickets early to ensure a seat because this place actually fills up fast. They serve alcohol and snacks along with non-alcoholic beverages which is refreshing when you're in a town without a bar.

We saw Mary Poppins there and it was fantastic. I highly recommended reservations as it fills up fast. You can only drink in the lobby unless you purchase a souvenir cup that you can refill. Also only one place in town to eat, J.Huston Tavern and you better have reservations if you plan on eating there.

Last night was our third trip to the Lyceum. We have thoroughly enjoyed each production. There is truly not a bad seat in the house. Productions pull in seasoned Broadway and off Broadway actors as well as occasional super talented locals. Top notch especially the Mary Poppins last night. The only complaint is so minor-not enough bathrooms for the size of crowd. When that is the only drawback it still gets five stars for me!

One of my favorite entertainment site in mid-Missouri. I've been a season ticket holder for over 25 years and the quality of shows has improved dramatically over last few years. Quin and Steve are out visiting with patrons before each show just to say hi, find out how things are going, are you enjoying your visit, etc. They bring in outstanding talent for each show. In addition to regular lineup of shows, have begun bringing in one-time-only entertainers--Texas Tenors

Just saw Sister Act. It was truly a Broadway quality show . It was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive each way from Kansas City North. I look forward to seeing other shows there in the future.
