We parked our RV at Arrow Rock Historic Site campground for two nights late April. 50 amp service but no water or sewage hook ups. There is a dump station and water tap. Lovely camp site. Lots of grass and trees.. sites well spaced out. Our T Mobile hotspot struggled to get a signal.. it was intermittent at best. Great rates. Eric, the camp host was very kind. Couple of nice hiking trails right off the campsite. Short walk to Arrow Rock itself. Fascinating history, excellent visitors center. We are a bit early in the season and some things were not open.. but still worth visiting.

Started at the visitor center, then enjoyed the hiking trails and finished with a stroll throughout sections of the village. It is a beautiful site to spend a day.

We spent most of our time at the museum in the visitor center. I found it very interesting and informative. Walking around the historic buildings was also very enjoyable.

We arrived at 4:06 & the visitor center closed at 4, so I can't comment on the visitor center. The park was nice. Nothing was open in town. We'd like to go back when the park or town has an event.

By far one of the best maintained state parks in Missouri. A short walk from the camp site is a quaint little village with historic sites, ice cream, and diner. So much history surrounds you as you make the hike. The pond nearby is well stocked with fish as well. We caught several bluegill and bass. Wonderful playground for children on the way to the village.

Nice secluded park. This felt like a park away from it all. It was clean and green and not crowded. Our only issue was the winding 13 miles of rolling hills on a skinny country road that wasn't meant for large RVs.

We stayed at the campground. Missouri never disappoints. Treed rolling hills. Road and camp sites are paved. Hugh lots, very private. Bathrooms clean with large shower stalls. The town was closed and did not have time to go through museum. Took a hike on the Lewis and Clark trail, just beautiful, nature at its best. Wild flowers, birds, quiet, just wonderful. We will be back.Dog-friendliness: Perfect for dogs. Just CLEAN up.

We camped at the nearby campground only because it was at the stopping point for our travels. We were pleasantly surprised to find this historical village and great visitors center! Next time we will plan to go on a weekend, as a lot of the buildings are closed during the week. Also, they had some hiking trails that we did not have time to explore. Quiet , peaceful area rich in history. Love discovering new places to explore! Don't miss the visitor's center.

The first stop overnight for the people heading out on The Santa Fe National Trail. The little town has a couple stores and eateries and an excellent ice cream shop.

The town is NOT wheelchair accessible! There are deep/steep drainage ditches made of very uneven rocks along the streets and the "bridges" are made of thick boards, which are not tapered at the ends, so it might as well be a curb to wheelchair wheels. I was able to see the outside of some of the sites by driving through town, but almost all required going over the uneven rocks, or the "bridges". The visitor center IS accessible from the parking lot on the opposite side of the long bridge from the town, but no HC door button that I saw, even though there is a window sticker saying there is one. Be aware just about everything is closed on Mon/Tues. including the visitor center and most of the stores/shops.

Beautiful area with well maintained properties. Easy to drive around and view if you are unable to walk easily but plenty of nice room to walk.We happened to be there on a day when most places were closed but it was still enjoyable to see the outsides of the buildings and the park area.

The entire town is a Historic site! We went there to the Lyceum Theatre, which began in an old church. Over the years they built a theater onto the church and now the church is the lobby. This town is a beautiful place which is literally in the middle of nowhere.

Their trails are a little confusing but overall I loved going here with my family. The people here are warm and welcoming, they have great areas for children to play and there are some beautiful views.

Arrow Rock is a beautifully preserved town, much like a time capsule from the 1800's. It is an amazing look into an important river town settled as our forefathers expanded west into the frontier.

Quaint town of Arrow Rock and historic tavern are in hiking distance, with fishing & trails around Soldier Lake, just a short walk away. On a September night, the water's shore also lights up with glow worms!

The camp ground is very nice and its quiet at night. The only down fall is the bathroom/shower at the basic site is in some need of cleaning/renovating. The camp hosts were very nice and helpfull. Will camp here again. The town has a lot of history behind it. Looks like it would be a good place to spend a day or two to see the old buildings and take in some of the history.

I'm sure when 100% fully operating this is a great experience but when we we're there it was pretty much all closed.I plan on coming back again but I'll wait until they bounce back from all the unforeseen pitfalls they've experienced.

Camped 1 night in primitive camping. Nice little campground (sloped sites, but very pretty). Like that primitive & electric sites are separated. Also like the playground area is separated from camp sites. Beautiful place.

Pretty cool little area, I sincerely wish we had more time to explore as I know we will most likely never be able to make it back. A lot of history and definitely a cute little town.

Hidden gem in the state of Missouri, this is a stop worth making if you are in the area. The theater here is very nice and the food at the local restaurants is pretty solid.
