Rode the Harley down from Kansas City area just to eat at the Amsterdam Cafe, and it was well worth the trip!Great food in a nice, hometown atmosphere!Planning next trip already to get here early enough for breakfast!!UPDATE!!! WE HAD BREAKFAST, and it did not disappoint!

Just what we hoped for from a small town Cafe. Service was friendly and quick. Our food was excellent!Parking: Numerous free, on street parking spotsWheelchair accessibility: Level entry through a double door that appears to need two people to open easily.

So glad we stopped in again today. Took my folks here from Sedalia, to lunch. Yummy Reubens, chicken fried steak sandwich, curly s, slaw, and pickled beets!Oh my! Thank you!!Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for everybody. If kiddos get antsy, take a stroll down Main street.

I've had lunch here several times these last few weeks and it's excellent. Good burgers and fries, ridiculously large pork tenderloin sandwiches, and some delish pies.Best place in town 😉

Food was great! But ordered my glass of water in a to go cup and without being told they charged me a 1.50 for my water! Said i wouldnt have ordered it in a to go cup if i had been told i would be charged 1.50!!

great food, waitresses are very friendly, Randy the owner/cook is the BEST at giving home cooked meals & his Thursday night chicken is the best around!! Very clean and nice local history on display.

Mark Twain: "The North seldom tries to fry chicken, and this is well; the art cannot be learned north of the line of Mason and Dixon...".Today's fried chicken, from the cafe in the big town of Amsterdam, Missouri (see pic) is south of the (informal) Mason and Dixon - and tastes like it!... Darn Good!.... I will be going back, again, and again...
