My dog has had bad vet anxiety since using a larger vet in a pet store chain. When I moved here and needed a vet I decided to try Helping Hands. So glad I did! She had anxiety going in, but was completely chill by the time Dr. Ward and I finished talking. Their office was pretty quiet too, which I’m sure helped my dog. She gets nervous going into vets offices where there’s a lot of barking. I really like Dr. Ward and all the other staff we met! Good personalities and friendly, and Dr. Ward was informative and took his time with me to give suggestions for Suzie Q’s skin issues.The next day I took in a stray cat who had adopted us, to get him checked out and vaccinated. Sadly, Takoda had feline leukemia and FIV. Dr. Ward talked with me and gave me information and options. Since we have other cats, it was suggested to keep Takoda isolated from them. He assured me if we decided to put Takoda down it would not be a bad option. I left to talk with my family about it, and decided to take Takoda back to be put down before he would suffer from his illnesses. I was going to do it as a drop off, but since they said it would just be about 30 minutes I waited in the car. Dr. Ward himself brought Koda out to me and put him in the car. A week or so later I got a sympathy card in the mail, signed by everyone at the office.Because of my experiences there, my fiancée is switching her dog and cat to them too. We stopped in today to ask about it because her dog doesn’t like men, but they don’t think it’ll be an issue. The woman at the desk recognized me from just my two visits there a few weeks ago and we got my fiancée and her critters added to my chart and an appointment scheduled. Interested to see how her dog does with Dr. Ward but I have a feeling it’ll be fine! Highly recommend this vet!

Would give a zero. Took my kitten to get fixed. Tell me how cute he is and when I get him home. His lips r swollen and all he is doing is sleeping. They told me he probably has calicivirus? I've had himfir 4 months now he was just fine I also have 5 other cats who are now all exposed.. they won't do anything. Worst place ever!

Took a sample up to them about 9 am. Told me that it would be around 10 minutes to look at & ended up being almost 2 hours later. I should have left after 10 minutes. They almost always think that my dogs always have worms. The bill was $80. 1 pill they gave me was almost $23.

We had to put our 14 year old lab to sleep. They fit us in between other appointments and let us pull up under the awning and Doc came out to the truck. He was great, explained the process and was very compassionate! Thank you for wonderful service.

Back in December we had to put my golden retriever down because he was very sick and in pain and we couldn't do anything. They made him comfortable and took me step by step through everything. They met me hold him thr entire time. They even let me be alone with him after he passed. They were so sweet and generous about everything. I got him cremated and they even sent me a Christmas card ❤

The staff is awesome & Doctors also. Quick appointments, very quick emergency app & walk ins they try their hardest to fit you in. They have a Facebook page that you can also use to contact them with emergency questions. An costs good, but depends on the severity of visit. They also have a small section of shampoo,flea & tick products, lotion, conditioner, food, toy's etc, for cats & dogs.

I would not have another vet but Dr. Ward. The 20 to 25 mile drive is worth it!! When we had to put Our last Family Member down Dr. Ward & 1 of the Very Nice & Knowable Techs came to the house, Our Chloe just could not get up in the vehical any more, with the the walk up ramps that Dr Ward had let Us borrow, & put her to sleep!! He let My Wife hold Her head til she was gone & then as long as my Wife needed!! Our youngest Daughter & I just gave My Wife/Her Mother the support she needed as we weeped!! Dr. Ward & his Wife & Staff are Amazing!! Oh his Wife was pregnant at the time so she did not come!!I recommend them for any animal!!
