Wow! I am really happy I pushed the extra hour and a half. Arrived at 4:10 lots empty, plenty of space available. Haven’t tried the restaurant, I was more than happy with the $10 shower, great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which is amazing.Will definitely make a point to return to try the restaurant. Easy going laid-back environment. 😁

So, I ate here today. I might come back and I might not. Let me tell you why! Now, I ordered the Swiss Omelette with mushrooms, onions, and bacon. That came with hash browns and two biscuits. I got white gravy as an extra side. While the food was pretty good and worth coming back for, the restaurant employees need to do some cleaning! The table I sat at was dirty, but it was only one small spot over by the ketchup so I didn’t bother to move. Then I started looking around. The table in front of me had salt spilled all over it and a dead fly lying in the salt, and the window sill had at least 6 dead flies on it. That might not sound too bad to some but a rule of thumb is, if the dining room isn’t clean then you probably don’t want to see the kitchen. I didn’t walk around the whole place because I actually contemplated canceling my order and leaving, but I took a chance.They make a fly spray that you can spray through the whole place every night, or even in the morning before you open, given enough time for the smell to die down before customers come in! And it doesn’t take but a minute to vacuum or sweep up the dead flies! Tables are supposed to be cleaned after each customer. I worked in many restaurants for 30 years so I know how back breaking and hard it is, but no one really wants to eat in a dirty restaurant and details are important. I want to end this review with that fact that the server was nice, and the store was cute and a little old fashioned. Like I said, the food was pretty good but I’m not sure if the biscuits are canned or not (I would guess they are). Everything else was tasty. My omelette was prepared great, the hash browns were crispy, and the gravy was pretty good. Please do a little extra cleaning as it really does go a long way for first impressions. There’s also truck parking and a buffet.

Dirt lot but tons of parking. It's really a hidden gem off I-55. Buffet is excellent and only $11.99 and the rest of the menu is fairly priced especially for a truck stop.

A truckers dream and foodies guilty pleasure!! Huge dirt lot parking for truckers. No real rhyme or reason, but lots of space! Also large room 10 dollar showers! Now then, I've eaten all over the world... I'm 5'9" built like a tank, and can eat what 3-4 people at a time, can. But I hate food. I normally eat a ton, fill up, don't eat again for 2-4 days. My previous job was installing maintaining troubleshooting POS systems all over s.e. Texas, from food trucks to 5 star Michelin rated restaurants. And I got so burnt out on food, specially if I was told, this place is great, that dish is great...go here go there, I was ALWAYS disappointed! Even tho I usually ate for free, because managers and owners knew, if in a review, I said a certain dish or a place had great food, I was telling the truth!The buffet here is 10 or 11 bucks, plus tax. Not including drink. It had all your normal southern fare. And let me tell u, THIS PLACE ROCKS! Nothing I had, needed butter, salt, pepper, hot sauce, pepper sauce, or anything! The catfish was delicate, not overbreaded or over spiced, and u could easily taste the cornbreading. The potato salad - I could taste EACH ingredient, and the potato cubes were just firm, and not too large or small. . The mash tatoes and gravy were just right, the sweet tea, wasn't great, but I'm used to Texas sweet tea, so most places don't get it right, but it was decent! I had a bit of this casserole that was bellpeppers and rice in a meat/tomato sauce, with baked cheese over the top. I don't know where the green peppers were bought, or are they a different variety, or how the chef prepares, but they have a fantastic bit of sweet aftertaste to them, really caught me off guard!! The fried chicken could have been a tad crispier, but hey, this is buffet line- line chicken, so it sits a while. Still though, it was flavorful and juicy, through and through! I had a couple other dishes, but I'm skipping to dessert 🎂. In Texas, a big deal is ur banana cream and cookie dessert. And no one gets it right. It tastes fake, runny, soapy, a few ingredients, no texture, no grit or bite to it, no solid banana chunks, few wafers, no cinnamon, etc , etc. I can safely say, this may have been the best banana cream dessert, I've ever had in my life. If I was hungry, I could likely eat a whole pan.With tax, my meal was like 12 something. I left a 5 dollar tip, and if I had the cash and not card, would have left a 100 percent tip. From now on, my trips coming down from Jersey to Houston every week? This is a guarantee stop. From showers, to a decent general store, tons of parking, 10 dollar showers, to the outstanding food, this is what a truckstop is SUPPOSED to be like! I did not order off the menu, or have breakfast, nor do I know if they do a breakfast buffet, but if so, I will surely try out breakfast, next time.

This place is absolutely awesome. Stopped on my way to New Orleans. A decent place to park your truck. But the food is freaking awesome 👌And everyone is so friendly. Waitress to the beautiful lady who cooks the food. Exit 51 on 55 south and north.

Man, what a hidden gem!!Free truck parking. The lot is dirt, but more space than I was expecting.It's hidden off 55, so ya gotta know before ya go.The buffet was good!! Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Fried Chicken, mashed taters, corn on the cob, baked beans, fried okra, mac-n-cheese, corn bread, apple cobbler, and more!! $11.99!!!! Add salad bar for $2 more. And I believe just the salad bar was like $7.99!!This place just made a friend!!I'm saving this place on my GPS!!

Nice to find a mom and pop that's still got it. Really good buffet, pork chops, chicken, greens, beans, spaghetti, broccoli and cheese, whole bunch more all homemade and done right, nice dessert selection with homemade banana pudding, great salad bar nice people keeping it clean. Great price on fuel. Felt like I was home again after nothing but fast food and megachain stops.

Very nice people. Small country store, clean bathrooms and shower, a restaurant that has a buffet with great southern home cooking..and the food is amazing. I wish I would have taken pictures..but I had rice and gravy with a fried pork chop and smothered cabbage. The parking lot is a nice size, dirt but even if it rains(which it did while we were there) the ground is solid.

I went to the truckstop sat Sept 16 2023 was gonna get a bit to eat the place was dead Noone was there on a sat night eating I was the only one in the restaurant area .I sit down a waitress wanna be that worked there came about 8 minutes after I sat down with a pad and pen said you wanna order something I said yes but can I see a menu she sighs and walks to the bar to get me a menu w hen I tell you she acted as if she could care less about being there or about what she looked liked or whether I eat or not I kid you not she was unprofessional and her appearance was nasty looking .I ordered and she returned about 5 min later with my food in a to go box and my food wasn't prepared to go I fully intended to eat there I ask her why it was in a to go box cause I was eating there I said do Ya'll not have silverware or plates she said ugh yeah but they don't want to use it when it's late at night to have to wash dishes it was 8 pm if I had wanted a grilled ham n cheese inbetween 2 slices bread barely grilled and in a styfoam box I would went home and made one at my house .She never brought me silverware there were no napkins in the napkin holder and the whole restaurant area was empty they sucked I'll never go back there to eat or anything else .

Staff very nice but restaurant extremely slow at taking your order it's like they have you standing there for at least 15 to 20 minutes so after placing a order I come back 20 minutes later and there's no one to be seen or talked to and Order still not ready with no one actually in the restaurant so because it wasn't worth my time and money I just left big disappointment Michigan guest

3 stars for plenty of hard dirt parking, a decent CS selection, some trucker tools and supplies. -2 stars for the fried shrimp to go. Pic in menu was of battered jumbo shrimp. What I got, which I didn’t check before I left and should have, was the worst, burnt popcorn shrimp I’ve ever tried to eat. It was so overcooked it was like chewing on a rubber fishing lure. Inedible. Wasted $15 on it. Buffet looked good though.

I haven't been here in over 35yrs, it's changed alot since then, but still is a good place to stop for good food friendly people, it has plenty of parking for semi trucks and travelers, me and my wife stopped here last a couple of weeks ago and plan on stopping by as long as we keep getting these loads from Louisiana to Mississippi, I recommend that if you are in the area of Mississippi you should stop by for good food and diesel or gasoline or anything else, Tim

Stopped in for lunch. Buffet reasonably priced. Food was pretty good and hot....the only thing we didn't see replenished was the rice, however the cook did bring some out when we asked for more. Our waitress was pleasant and made sure our drinks were refilled. Looking forward to stopping again

A real mom and pap store and dinner. All you can eat cold and hot bars and country menu items. The food bars are hand made food. Fresh cut lettuce, eggs, ect. And very fresh. Good selection of snacks from the store, and a good size parking / gravel lot for trucks.

We stopped here to stay overnight in our motorhome. It was quiet and we felt safe. Store is open 24 hours and the trucks aren’t as noisy or as close as in a Pilot or Flying J truck stop. Dirt parking lot was okay, we’ve been thru a Lot worse. A plus is the restaurant: not fancy but they had good burgers & BLTs and a yummy breakfast at great prices with nice, attentive servers.

This place used to be a nice country truck stop with great food and staff. I used to spend a great many night when I was in college at COLIN, drinking coffee and studying. I stopped in and hadn't been there in years. Evidently it is now under new camel jockey management. They were kind of rude but I'll bet there was curry chicken on the menu. This place was dirty and dusty
