I was in the Tupelo store the other day with my grandson. He wants to get a "lizard" for a pet. Needless to say he would have taken home any one of the reptiles. The store representative, Matthew, was there and more than willing to help us out. My personal knowledge of reptiles is about 1 on the 0-10 scale but Matthew guided us along. My grandson was attracted to the more active and higher maintenance species, Matthew talked with him about the kind of home, care, feeding, handling and responsibilty it would need. He could have easily picked the most expensive reptile in the store and sent us on our way, sale made. This was not what we experienced. Matthew talked with him one on one and at his level. I believe he honestly cared about both the animal and child and that it be a positive interaction for them. I think we'll be choosing a chameleon before we move on to the 3 foot iguana. Thank you Matthew.

Mathew Davis was awesome!!! My pup has really bad dry skin and her medicine comes in tomorrow, but I needed a temporary fix. He directed me to the right products and you could tell he genuinely cared about my puppy’s well being. He is the absolute BEST

Overall the store was good but the customer service was terrible. Some people should just do what they are paid to do and not over step boundaries. Just because you have read every pamphlet in the break room doesn't make you a expert, experience does Stormi. FYI my fish are thriving.

We were looking for a dog kennel that serves a dual purpose as a piece of furniture and not just a kennel. They did not have the one we were looking for and frankly wasn't expecting basic kennels to be priced above $100. Very clean and friendly atmosphere.

We love Petco in Tupelo, Emily is amazing with our pup and does such a good job! All of the employees We have encountered are friendly and always knowledgeable. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

I go every week to get food for my pets. Everyone is so friendly and willing to assist. One in particular is Matthew, he always helps me find what I need and answers all questions about my pets. Love this store!

I bought 12 fish when I got home, 2 of the fish had died I tried calling the store I waited 15 minutes no one answered... I took pictures of the fish, I hope they replace the fish...

We came in a rush to buy a dog crate for upcoming cold weather. The lady who assisted us went above and beyond to help us get what we needed. I think she was actually working in the grooming department of the store, but as she was making her way back to that area, she noticed we were having trouble finding what we needed. She also helped us get get the app for the store to further meet our needs. She was very friendly toward our dog as well. I wish I had gotten her name. She was about middle aged with shoulder length light brown hair. A very great asset to your store!!

I brought my dogs in there after a particularly rough dental surgery. My face was swollen and I waved off the associates as they tried to talk to me to offer help. I felt bad but I was in a lot of pain. Even so, the cashier was still very friendly and pretty much held a one person conversation that allowed to me say very few words while still being a part of it. I am only rating my experience in which I already knew what I wanted and where it was in the store.

Unreasonably high priced merchandise. They had what I needed though so I tried to buy it. Long story short after waiting 20 min or at the register I was sent to another register where I was told it would be at least 10 more min before I could check out. I left. No I'm sorry sir or anything from them. Well I will say it. Thanks guys I went to where I should have to begin with and purchased the exact same product for way less!

As far as check out they price matched the online prices. But I was completely appalled at how the hermit crab you had in store were taking care of. There was no too no water no food no humidity or heat the essentials for them to survive. Let alone breath. The kid just started digging them out and tossing them back into the tank. It was horrible. Those poor creatures. We also looked at the bearded dragons and they were sickly looking. I wanted to rescue aCouple of the crabs but didn’t trust their health. Very poor husbandry. Your company should be ashamed of yourselves. We left and went to petsmart where they take better care of their animals. And they wereI’m good health and cheaper. I’llContinue to buy supplies there but will never purchase an animal from Petco.

The store is very dirty, bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. There were spider webs on items in the store. Not sure what is going on but you need to do a lot better!

Specifically referring to the cat adoption process at Petco (sponsored by TLHS), we had an incredibly easy and pleasant experience. The staff was helpful and very thorough. The kitties are always well tended to, with clean litter pans and fresh food and water when we visit. Grateful that this big box store contributes space and effort to a local cause in line with their target market.

New workers were so friendly at check-out. The food I bought rang up the wrong price, the lady at checkout went to the shelf and verified it was a different price and fixed it right away. There was a gentleman at the register also and he was just as friendly Loving these new employees ❤️

On hands are NEVER correct. I’ve ordered aquariums 3 different times during their sale when the website says they are available for pickup. My order has been cancelled EVERY time.I work in retail so understand that sometimes items sell before online orders are picked. But today, I ordered from the parking lot then went inside and they had none of the size I wanted.This is one of the reasons I go to petsmart instead. Plus petsmart price matches. Unfortunately they don’t stock the size I want.VERY DISAPPOINTING. AGAIN!

I went with my child, he is imperative and was screaming to a hamster inside a cage i went as fast as i could to let him know that he has to be more polite to animals but an employee star screaming like crazy to my child, what kind of person is that, i understand my child he is a kid he has much to learn but an older adult?? She did what exactly my child did with much age difference.

POOR ATTITUDE & CUSTOMER SERVICE Employee had an attitude with me while I was picking up an order. I gave her my ID as she asked and told her the name on the pick up order. Before even checking the order/pick up person, she let me know that next time my mom needed to put me as the pick up person on the order since we didn’t have the same last name. There were other statements/questions (with attitude) during this process. At the end of the day, if she would have lost the attitude and done her job correctly (looked at the order on her tablet), she would have seen that I was already listed as the pick up person for the order. In addition, I doubt most people want to walk through a cloud of smoke while entering the store as I did today. The same employee was standing in the sliding doors blowing out cigarette or vape smoke while working.Concerns were voiced to the “manager”, but they didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with the situation. She also seemed to have an attitude and got defensive instead of just being apologetic.

Highly disorganized, so I was not sure of any pricing until I got to the register where I bought some doc bones that were on sale. My dog chewed on one when we got home and it literally turned in to the equivalent of sawdust. Never again.
