This is a must-visit place. You are transported back to a time long ago. I imagine that this store is the type of business that my grandparents would have frequented when they were growing up in rural west Alabama.I had lunch here, which was so very good! I also bought a small state of Alabama stick flag. I look forward to coming back soon.

Antiques galore and lot of interesting history. Owners couldn’t have been nicer. Fresh lunches and homemade deserts served daily. They sell homemade soap. They also have hoop cheese which is delicious. Lots to enjoy.

Mississippi hospitality at its finest.Stopped for lunch and a break, and were lost in time for a bit at the Simmons Wright Grocery. The wonderfully sweet Anquenetta (or, Mrs. Kick to the locals), fixed us lunch and visited with us for a while.Thank you for the memories!

This place is really cool if you like old antique stores.Stopped here for the night as this place is a harvest host. They offer a simple breakfast and lunch but the coolest part is all the antiques that are inside!

Old general store with lots of Knick Knacks on the ground and upper floor. Didn’t purchase anything but for no reason other than a didn’t see anything I just had to have. Also has a diner built in but didn’t get a chance to eat here. I enjoyed my visit.

Beautiful old general store, that we happened upon accidently a few weeks ago. Gary Pickett, the owner welcomed us in with cameras and tripod to shoot all we wanted, VERY CAMERA FRIENDLY PLACE. I oved not only the store but also the old cotton gin in the back, It brought back many memories fro me of my working days in them. Than you Gary for the nice visit back in time.

What a fantastic find whilst driving of the interstate towards Montgomery. This is more like a museum than store and reminded us of Ike's store in The Waltons and equally as friendly. Store owner was a real gent and very sociable as he (and his visiting family) entertained us folks from Wales whilst we ate a lovely lunch. Southern hospitality at its finest.

Loved this little leap back into a better simpler time. Beautiful old building! Loved the creaking of the wood floors and all the old interesting artifacts. Didn't eat there because we had already had lunch but i bet it would've been delicious! We sat around the old wood heater and shared stories with the owner and his wife and daughter. Precious & friendly people! Reminded me that there are still some good, decent, salt of the earth people out there.

This was an interesting stop on my drive between Birmingham and Vicksburg. It is part restaurant, antique store and flea market. I had breakfast. It was tasty but nothing special. The store has vintage clothing, hats, and jewellery, cast iron cookware, crotcheted items, old tools, comic books and too much other stuff to list. There was also a lot of dust!

It's like walking into a time capsule. Always glad to see historic stuff preserved. Worth checking out if you're driving through on the interstate

Found this adorable little place halfway through a road trip while looking for somewhere to stretch our legs for a moment. I fell in love with the place as soon as we walked through the door!! So many things to look at, awesome HANDMADE foods, and the friendliest staff/owners I’ve ever encountered!

I gave them a 5 star due to the down home humble and kind people they are. The antique store has so much to look at. The cheese burger was one of the best I have had in a while. If you are looking for a unique dinning experience full of old stories this is the best place to stop. Owner has really neat stories, definitely would stop again. Just to appreciate genuine people, which are so hard to find today. Owner says those dang phones everyone always on, well sir this phone brought me to your store today and you have great reviews. I hope this helps being more people in. Just passing through from Mont Belvieu, Texas.

Really cool little country store. Y wife loves these old places and that is why she picked it for us to spend the night as a Harvest Hosts. We will be back next time we are in the area!

Fun old, old store. Historically fun. It was however, 120 degrees in there. Lovely worker, but don't know how they manage.

We happened upon here accidentally and are so glad we did! We were looking for that authentic southern experience and well, this place did NOT disappoint. Best sweet tea ever.A modest step back in history. A time capsule gem of a place. The negative reviews are ridiculous. These people are so friendly and welcoming. Yeah, a little dusty it’s the south and the building is extremely old. The objects inside are of days long ago...was so happy to step back in time and put things into perspective. Life is so fast paced nowadays. So materialistic. This place brings you back. Grateful for my experience and for my kids to see it.

My family and I stopped here for lunch. We could’ve stayed for hours checking out all the interesting antiques. The food was delicious- the free dessert was a strawberry cake. I’m not usually a fan of strawberry but it was the most delicious fresh strawberry dessert I’ve had. So soft and the frosting amazing. We had the pulled pork- delicious and baked beans- AMAZING! My son had the ham and cheese sandwich. My fiancé and I ended up eating it because he “wasn’t hungry” and it was great too! The owners were super friendly and conversational. So much history and a definite hidden gem! Highly recommend for a pit stop of home cooking, hospitality, and lots of history.

We stopped here because we found out in our family history that we were related to the original owners. The owners now are decendants and so we were excited to meet some distant family. They were friendly and helpful. I was hoping for some homemade ice cream, but they only have that when their daughter comes up to visit. But walking into the store was like a trip into the past, really cool history!

Want an old atmosphere with vintage items, this is the place. Super friendly family that owns & runs the store.
