It is very easy to drive your rig in this park. I have read some reviews where people talk about the drive into the part as being horrible. When you leave I 20, you drive down a county road. It is the typical width of a county road. So just slow down and it is no problem. We drive a 44’ fifth wheel with a dually truck. Some sites have concrete (not in the best shape) and some have gravel pads. There are many trees but the park keeps them trim away from the roads. It was great to have shade. There is full hookup pull thru sites along with some back in sites. There are plenty of areas to walk your dogs along with a nice enclosed dog park. There are many activities for children – a large sandbox, pool, a water slide, playground, tether ball and a game room. This park is about 2 miles off I 20. It is very quiet. There are a few long timers but primary people stopping for one night Each night it is full and then empty by noon the next day.We were there for several months and paid $525 for the month. This included electricity. When we originally arrived, our plan was to stay one month to visit family. But due to some health issues with ourselves and our family, we ended up staying for over 6 months. The best part of this park is the staff. Each staff is friendly, welcoming and will do anything possible to make our staff so wonderful. The staff take meticulous care of the park including picking up daily all the cigarette butts that people think they can just leave on the ground. Due to their service, they get a lot of repeat customer visits.

We received a warm welcome when we checked in to Meridian East/ Toomsuba KOA. Since we had made a reservation ahead of time, all we had to do was pay and be directed to our site. The campground is clean and appears well cared for. There are many trees which enhance the camping atmosphere. It's nice and quiet here, and we're looking forward to a good night sleep before we head out tomorrow.

In response to Couch Potato, the Meridian KOA does not have a night watch person. We have someone who is a few miles away that is our emergency contact for after-hours issues. That is not who spoke to you. I am so sorry that another camper was rude to you. The campground has a very good balance of light. It is enough for the late arrival and not too much that one would need blackout curtains. It is conveniently located 1.5 miles off of I20\59. It doesn't get more convenient than that. You do not have all the road noise and traffic all night. The scrap yard is an eyesore to pass on your way here but it does not effect your stay.

We passed a unsitely site on the way in, with recycling or equipment storage. Once we turned off, to the KOA, it was out of site. This is a pretty and rustic campground. The woman, maybe the owner, is very kind. TV reception was poor. We are in the woods. The WIFI was great! The bathroom is large, clean, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pool looked inviting, no debris. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful Meridian)/Toomsuba KOA.

Not well lit. A lot of loose dogs that according to the night watch are neighborhood dogs. Before we were told this, a dog (with a collar) came up to our site while we were setting up.My Husband called out to the dog (didn’t go near him) and said, “Hi buddy!”A woman walked up to our site and said, “His name is Beau”.So naturally my Husband said, “Hello Beau!”The woman yells at my Husband, “Don’t call him! He doesn’t live here, he’s one of the neighborhood dogs that roam around the park”. Then she continues to yell at the dog and chase it away. She offended my Husband by talking to him like he’s an idiot. My Husband said, “Sorry, we didn’t know that.”I decided to continue doing what I was doing and ignore the woman because I know I would’ve ended up saying something that’s not very nice. Also, it’s near a lot recycling place that is a complete eyesore. For a “Journey KOA” this location is not very convenient to weary travelers. We’ll NEVER stay at this KOA camp again. Terrible customer service. Save yourself the grief and stay somewhere else or drive to the next town.

Wonderful! Wonderful campground. The smaller spaces towards the further loop are more private than most campgrounds. Nice wooded trees. Lots of shade. The pool is wonderful. The bathrooms are very neat and clean. My only criticism would be that there's only one bath house and you so you have quite a ways to walk from the back spaces, but overall it's a great place!

This was my first KOA stay and I was pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located off of I-20 but far enough so there’s no freeway noise. Good signage to campground. I enjoyed my site in the woods … didn’t know such a thing existed at a KOA. Rodney was fabulous… from checking me in, to guiding me in my spot and even dinner recommendation. Wonderful stay.

Very nice KOA. Lots of shade. I especially appreciated that a phone number was posted in the bathrooms in case toilet paper or paper towels ran out or if a guest left a mess (that was the posted message). I didn't need it, but you don't see that everywhere. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Very nice, refreshing pool. They had a super fun looking water slide that is open in the afternoons on the weekends during summer. It costs extra which I can understand as it is probably expensive to run and maintain. Our plans had us leaving on Saturday morning so we couldn't use it which was a shame because it looked cool. Staff was very friendly.

Campground: Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA JourneyCity, State: Toomsuba, MSCheck-in: June 17, 2023Check-out: June 18, 2023Site Number: 46 (pull-thru)Our Set Up: 32 foot Class C and TOADWe Liked: A mile or 2 off of I-20 right after crossing into Mississippi from Alabama. Text communication from the office throughout the day. Rodney was friendly at the front desk. Nice pool. Bathroom and laundry facilities were clean. TV stations from antenna came in great. Site was long enough so that we did not have to disconnect TOAD.We Didn't Care For: Office closed at 4:30pm - even though sign said 6pm. Waterside was closed, even though it was Saturday.Overall Assessment: It was a great stay for an overnight. It served its purpose. **Tip not relates to the campground. There is a Loves truck stop right off I-20. The pumps might be the most RV unfriendly ever. Pumps are way to close to the building. Even though I took the far right pump and parked at an angle, I had to disconnect TOAD to cut the corner.

How anyone wouldn’t rate this location with 5 stars is beyond me. It is wonderful here! I have not experienced such perfect customer service as we have received here! The entire team is so genuine. The campground is spotlessly clean. There are always staff about to help you. We have been travelling for 8 months and this is the best service we have seen. The lots are spacious. It’s so quiet. The pool is clean and inviting. Showers are very clean and well maintained. Laundry on site. General store. What impressed us the most is the on going communication they give. They got in touch on our way here to help us pick the best route. They text daily to let you know when the store is closing. The nice lady even asked if she could deliver my propane after she filled it. (I carried it because that’s what a gentleman does, but the offer was so nice). We spent three nights here and loved it!

What a gorgeous campground tucked in the beautiful woods. We had space around our rig. The pool was big and so refreshing. Everything was so clean and well-maintained. The water slide was not working when we were there, but that wasn’t important to us!Rodney was super helpful checking us in and checking on us a few other times to see if we needed anything.

This is a nice place. Wooded lots, very quiet. Fenced dog area. Some play areas for kids. A beautiful swimming pool. Not much in the store. Looks like they may be remodeling. You drive by a lot of garbage before you get there but once in the park you're good. Water pressure is good. There is a dump station. Lots and roads are gravel. They have cabins available. Good place to stop for one night . Friendly staff. Clean but old restrooms with new sinks. Xfinity cell service was LTE only. TV reception was good. Wifi is strong.Playground: Small play groundsRestrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Dog area

Safe, clean, quiet, and surrounded by nature.Great experiences staying here twice. It’s a small park, so hiking/biking/etc. is not a great option. They make good use of the space they do have with a pool, water slide, and nice playground.

Nice Park, shaded and as mentioned before, a few miles off the interstate, but worth it. Great staff! Only "ding" I would mention is some the concrete is busted up on several sights including the one we were at. I imagine all of the trees and the roots don't help, but that could use some attention. Thanks for a nice quiet stay after being on the road all day.

We stayed at the Meridian KOA on the way to and from the Gulf coast and were so pleased with this place. This KOA has beautiful mature trees, a large clean pool, paved sites, a well-stoked general store, and a game room. We unfortunately missed out on the big slide through the woods but it looked awesome. The staff is great. We arrived close or at closing with some friends who had a separate RV and reservation. We were initially located at sites far apart but the owner went to her house to check her computer and move us to a site next to our friends. She really went above and beyond and was incredibly friendly. We will make this a regular stop when heading to the coast.

We stayed here for a half day and night while traveling cross country and we really enjoyed our stay. When we checked in, we were greeted with the friendliest staff, they escorted us to our site, made sure we had room for set up gave me a place to park my kayak trailer, AND gave our puppy a treat. The sites are nice and roomy and flat. The camp is beautiful and clean and the bathrooms and showers were impeccable. They had a cute dog park and store and it was also well lit at night which is nice if you have a dog or kids. It was just a great atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend anyone to this place!

There are not enough stars for this place. The campground is very nice, hilly, woodsy, pretty. The price is fair, too. The facilities are updated and meticulously maintained. Everything is beautiful. The owners (and all who are there) are friendly and helpful and put a great deal into taking care of their campground. Pool, slide, laundry, grounds, office, bathhouse, all of it lovely. There were plenty of hooks in the fabulous showers. Also, as guests left, the owner went and looked after each site making sure it was picked up, and cleaning/disinfecting water knobs, etc! I hope we get to go back sometime.
