First time here - I can see how you need to go back often to see the new things that have come out. They were putting stuff out when I was there. Be prepared to stay for a while because organization is not their strong suit. The aisle, tables and racks are all chaos. Price are good.

They were trying to charge me $35 for a jacket. The jacket still had the tag on it from the original store it came from for $29.99. When I asked why they were charging more than the original store for it, the cashier just ignored me and gave me an ugly look. I will not be returning.

I give this a 3 because the shelves are always top messy for thrifting, whereas I know in other cities they tend to tidy up and take actual trash off the shelves on a regular basis. I most recently went in May and found some cute Halloween stuff.

Found some great pieces priced at $2 for bigger sized women. Spent awhile locating the deals. Cashiers were delightful. The only issue I had was a sweater costing $11, if I wanted to spend $11 on a sweater I wouldn't be at Dirt Cheap. Sometimes the pricing is adventurous to say the least, but still great deals can be found.

In Dirt Cheap, you can find hidden jewels under the clutter. I know several people that have found great items for a discounted price which intrigues me to go. I go to Dirt Cheap searching for a specific item and have ended up purchasing more than I went into the store for!

It's Dirt Cheap. I do seem to remember things being a bit cheaper then they are now. The store is kind of dirty and is a bit of a mess, but the prices use to make up for that.

We love this store! It’s like a treasure hunt-you never know what’ll be in the next box, and we sure have found some GREAT deals! The staff is always very kind and helpful as well. From furniture to decorations to clothes, there’s some great finds. It’s fun to explore!

I love the store and all its items, I mostly look for the 50% - 90% off items. The only thing that I dislike is stuff that is broke needs throwed away, I've cut my fingers several times digging in the buckets tubs whatever you call them. They are great though over all.

I really didn't expect as much variety as there was. Several name brand home products. There were a lot missing prices so it was a little frustrating. I didn't want to ask on every other item so I probably passed on things I would have bought.

Manager is super rude. When product doesn’t have price on them she just make the price on them super outrageous. My friend made a comment that she came and snatched a pillow out of her hands saying this wasn’t on sale yet. how rude !!!! Going to be driving to Columbus it’s way better !

Man, this place has gone downhill for sure.Clothes are all mixed up now, so no man's section, a lot of the stuff they want retail prices for. Bargin hunt is a alot cleaner but a little pricey.

Hey I love a good bargain when I see one and right know they are the bomb. They have toppers for outrageous savings. I got a queen for $ 25. And a king for $ 35. Last year they were $100.00 for a queen.

You can get some good deals every once and a while. Stuff is overpriced and then discounted to it's market value to make you feel like you're getting a deal. Half the time you could just go to Walmart and get a working product instead of paying retail for a half broken return item. You have to be familiar with what things are worth and wait till it goes over 40-50% off usually. Sometimes it's marked up so high, it's never a deal. Clothes are usually a good deal if you find something you like.UPDATE:Dirt cheap has changed their prices on the tag to be typically the original MSRP and deals are more readily available because of this. Starkville is one of the better run locations in terms of organization, service from management, and being able to deal with items with no tags or old tags not ringing up. Thanks for the great service!

Not a store for the average person. You have to scavenge for anything you want, nothing is neatly organized, and most everything in the store is not something you want to buy. If you come in looking for something that day, odds are that you won't find it. You have to come back more than once, or be really lucky on the given day that you go. You have to be careful/smart not to buy a worthless-quality item. The only "useful" things I remember buying here were some cheap dice and a single, functional battery whose lifespan is questionable. Want something Dirt Cheap? Search a better secondhand store, use Facebook marketplace, or visit local yard sales. (Otherwise order it from China or just buy it from Walmart.) Don't waste your time at Dirt Cheap unless you want to waste the time.

I've been to dirt cheaps that were nice and organized and as soon as you step foot into this one your first thought is "chaos". That word perfectly describes the store. There is very little functionality to the organization. Practically everything is broken or dirty or missing pieces. The store clerks even tell you the price of every item as they check you out because they understand that you probably have no idea what the price is because you dont know if the item you found was supposed to be 90% off, 70% off, 40% off, or 25% off because the same things are in multiple locations. I saw an instant oot that was $130 in one location without a markdown identifier and another marked at $99 in a 40% off marked down area...if you want to thrift shop in starkville just go to bargain hunt. Although I wish they brought back their date system but that's another review.

This is one of my favorites! I'm not big on Dirt Cheap stores because they're usually so nasty and unorganized. This location is always clean and very organized. They have a great selection of items most of the time also.

It's Dirt Cheap. If you're used to shopping at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Bargain Hunt, etc. This is similar quality, organization, and neatness in the store.You CAN find deals on items that are overstocks, out of season, and salvaged. There are lots of open items with parts or pieces missing.You DO need to check what you are getting. Don't assume electronics will always work or everything is in the box for taped shut or items marked returned.But if you spend some time looking thru bins and examine what you are getting, you can find quality items at cheap prices.I've bought Christmas lights, filing cabinets, air purifiers, toys, wireless phone chargers, etc all at 50% or more off regular prices, all in new condition.

Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE Dirt Cheap. I shop at many locations in Louisiana and Mississippi. The Starkville location is one of my favorites! Staff is very helpful. This store is more organized than other Dirt Cheap stores.

You will really appreciate the cleanliness, level of organization, and the ease of finding items when visiting the Starkville location. After living in Starkville for 7 years, I became accustomed to easy finds, but after relocating back home to Mobile, AL, I despise going to Dirt Cheap. It’s filthy, disheveled, and unorganized. Starkville’s Dirt Cheap should be the model of all Dirt Cheaps. You won’t leave with a headache or empty handed.
