I gave just one star due to the great variety to choose from and never have a issue staying in stock. The instore customer service associate was educated in his products and gave great suggestions.Unfortunately I made the mistake of trying something completely new to me and the store. A vodka infused whip cream. The instructions were easy to follow and find on the cans themselves. The seal hadn’t been broken and it was also full but it didn’t produce anything from the bottle. I was given a store managers number and after explaining that I had followed directions and had no way to test it before leaving that I would like to exchange the item: I was told no refunds or exchanges could be given but they would contact the seller to see if they would help.The next morning I received a call back and was told I damaged the item by refrigerating it when I made sure to let her know I hadn’t done anything other than what the directions said. After questioning details I had already provided the day before I was told they would reach back out.16.99 per can that did nothing at all. The store doesn’t sell items like this and with it being a first of its kind an acception could have been made. Since logically there’s no way to know if the product even worked before I left the store. The fact that they were more concerned with making sure they didn’t pay for the can rather than the customers wasted money, time, and loss of faith in the business due to them just not reaching back out to even say sorry we can do nothing…..!I’ll be shopping somewhere elseHow can you be sorry for your answer when you didn’t give one. The answer I was given was based off someone not listening. Its always the higher ups who bring the company down. The employees weren’t even the problem. I’m sure two grown ups who can read and didn’t refrigerate the item have nothing to do with that

I enjoy stopping by occasionally. Although this time was crowded, and I felt like I was being closely monitored. Everytime I tried looking at a particular item, someone was asking if I need help or what am I looking for. I understand the need for store security, but there were so many(store security) in this particular store that I saw some of them just standing around talking to each other. One of the spots I was actually wanting to get to was blocked by 3 store associates just laughing and chatting about the comings and goings around The Cotton District.

Don’t go in there trusting any of the stickers they put on the bottle. Half of what I bought was priced incorrectly. The Gin was priced on the sticker at $22 but rang up at $40 and the wine was priced at $13 and rung up at $60. Literally $70 in difference. They will also not honor it or even say sorry. They just basically say “oops we have nothing priced correctly just figure it out at check out”. Thank god they even told me the total at checkout so i wouldnt pay $70 more than i was intending. Im not the only one who has dealt with this either. Another reviewer actually paid before they figured out they got over charged and they gave him hell trying to get it back. Beware they literally scamming and false advertising. I could understand having a couple things tagged incorrectly, but this has happened 5 times before and im tired of it. Get it together or do group labels and not individual labels on each bottle cause the minimum wage employees gonna give that task minimum effort. Why wouldnt they. Also get your foundation checked that wine floor is definitely sinking and gonna cave in. It cant be up to code. Get yourself togeth BPS

Great relaxed environment with a HUGE selection of almost any and all liquor, wine, and spirits available. This small yet cozy 2 floor packing store has just about if not exactly everything you want alcohol related, they also have an amazing staff that can help you find anything you want. Best part is if they for some reason don't have what you are looking for 90% of the time they can order it for you and have it in stock in a reasonable amount of time.

Do not buy wine from here. After I purchased a sweet red, I overheard an employee say that their air conditioning has been out since the beginning of summer. The flavor in the wine I bought was nonexistent. You would think that someone who sells wine would know that heat takes the flavor out. They also store their wine upstairs where the heat rises. They have also not taken measures to replace any of the ruined wine or inform their customers. I recommend getting wine from Scotty's. Atleast they take care of their products.

Best selection of liquor and wine in Starkville, I think. It's a little cramped, so make sure to watch your step. But they have a lot of international wines on the second floor (some are excellent vintages), a massive selection of liquor (including some in large bottles), a nice selection of refrigerated wines and cocktails, and plenty of small sample sized bottles.

Katie helped me pick out the BEST wine for a very special occasion. Such a hard working employee and always willing to help. Extremely knowledgeable about products and always cheerful! Great employee!!!

Although they have the largest selection of alcohol in town, they do very little to make you feel welcomed to shop there. A very heavily weighted woman wasted no time following me around the store acting like she was stocking shelves when in reality she just needed to be beside me to ensure no one of color was stealing. She then proceeded to return to the front of the store where the seemingly nicer gentleman was standing behind the counter. Unfortunately, they didn't realize how sound carries inside of an empty store. The last thing I could hear him say before I made my purchase was, "Don't worry, I got eyes on him now. He's won't take anything." I say all of this to say, it is a very archaic way of doing things when we live in the 21st century in a world full of cameras. I can understand it is a college town but I doubt that anyone steals in broad daylight hours.

Went and bought two boxes of wine. 1 sticker said 20.69 the other 21.99 my total was 47.38 🤷🏾‍♀️How?! My receipt was only a copy of the total when asked can I get a copy of the individual charges I was told the separate prices are what’s on the boxes. 20.69 and 21.99. My total 47.38. Don’t mind spending but do mind not knowing where the extra couple of dollars was spent .
