Do NOT get fish here!!! I got 2 glo fish from another place that was clean & safe for weeks before I came here, no ick. I got a black Molly & a guppy here. They looked fine at first but after a week they got the ick bad & 2 weeks in they died. They got my one of my other fish sick & it died, now I only have 1 out of 4 left.

In the last 12 years, the two cats I've had both came from Petsmart. A couple months ago, we adopted the sweetest girl. They told us (as always) that she was in perfect health, despite our questions regarding the gunk in her eyes and her obvious diarrhea. They chalked it up to a change in her diet. Here we are, two months later, and she is still having these same issues, only worse. We've changed her food to a higher quality, and she is still having issues. I'd also like to mention that we are pretty confident she had ringworm upon adoption, as we found some scabbed over areas on her body, and we all pretty much immediate got what seemed like ringworm. (the first petsmart cat I had also had ringworm *cost me $600 to treat*) We are going to be looking at hundreds of dollars in vet bills due to what I'd say is negligence in adoption processes. They will say and do whatever necessary to make that sale/adoption. Have my last two cats been the best cats I've ever owned? Yes... However, they were sold to me sick and in need of immediate vet care. Be cautioned when adopting animals from Petsmart. They do not hesitate to sell you sick pets.

PLEASE do not buy fish from this place. Just left this store, because almost EVERY tank in there was full of sick fish who have ick. If you were to buy just one “healthy” looking fish out of these tanks and at it to your personal aquarium you will get all of your other fish sick. Seen a tank filled with dead fish as well. Whoever is in charge of this pet smart should be ashamed. I’m disgusted. Photos added to show what ick looks like so everyone who visits can see for themselves. These are not pictures from the store itself because those pictures would look even worse. The fish are COVERED up in spots. If you’re gonna work at a pet store, atleast know BASIC facts about the health of the animals you’re selling. I’d give -3 stars if I could.

They are excellent about returns/ exchanges, so that's nice. It's kind of a toss up if you can find an employee with accurate knowledge though. Wish bettas had own tanks instead of the cups, and that petsmart would educate more about their proper care. The one I got had terrible fin melt and couldn't be saved even with a good tank and medicine for it. Poor fishy baby, I'm sorry, I tried to help. Got some corydoras today, though and so far they seem healthy. While the betta thing is an issue, as with many pet stores, petsmart is still better than petco in the fact that at least their tanks aren't just full of dead, rotting fish. Looking at you, Petco. 🙄 I'll say overall, 3 stars. -1 star for betta care, and -1star for leaving the tupelo store staffed with only 2 people during a weekend. Made it clearly stressful on the worker who helped us load our tank up, and the one left to work the register AND deal with all the questions people had.

I was accused of bringing in a swapped betta by the aquatic specialist my last visit. Funny, I have been shopping here for over 4 years, none of the regular employees have ever accused me of this, but now so. It's not my fault that the "Samurai male betta," is scanning in as a "Koi male betta," that is on Petsmart, not the customer.Instead of accusing, you should have scanned the package before ruining your customer!We have a Petco.

The grooming is just okay. The workers are mostly nice people. The app has hiccups for notifying when your pet is ready to be picked up. Or, at least, that's what they said the problem was.

This is a good PetSmart. I have been here many times and this last time is the only time I had anything bad to say about it. I could not get assistance with finding what I was looking for. (Bummer) But I shall not let one understaffed visit lower my review of this place. If you have a pet 90% of the time they have what you need and the people to help you.

Store is decent. They always have at least 1 bag of each food we need for our fur babies who require special diets. They are priced higher than other places I have purchased the same food. They have a clean bathroom incase anyone needs to know that. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful their is 1 in there that does have a pretty questionable attitude EVERYTIME we go in there, but for a 10 minute in and out visit I can deal with that. They are a clean store, they offer grooming and adoptions of cats. Every now and then the Tupelo Lee Humane Society has a adoption table for puppies needing homes. The cages for the other little animals are also very well maintained. Hope this helps someone!
