Eureka, Morgan and Diana have the best customer service that I have seen in this part of town in years. I’m blown away.I came into the store to sell a few items but I wasn’t aware of the no plastic bag policy. Eureka was so kind as she explained the whole process to me. I am usually met with an attitude so this was extremely refreshing.Morgan and Diana were always willing to help me with any questions with a smile.Once Upon A Child, these ladies are wonderful.I bought my son a new wardrobe for $130 today.This has been such a wonderful experience.

I traveled 45 minutes away to sell a 27 gallon bin of clothing. I was told someone would call me when they we're ready but I never received a call. When I called them they told me my clothing was ready and they forgot to call me, but would not give me any information over the phone about my items. When I arrived they told me they were passing on all of the items because they smelled like plastic (imagine that they were in a brand new plastic bin as requested.) So I took them home and washed them twice and brought them back up there. I spoke with who I am assuming is the owner and I politely asked her to see if the clothing smelled okay. She smiled and informed me that she typically didn't put her nose to clothing and smell it. She then wafted it around on the counter and said it seemed fine. They called me back that same day and said my items were ready. They accepted 24 items total, in exchange for $20. I do not recommend taking your clothing here to sell. I wasted over $20 in gas and my time is priceless being a special needs Mama and full time caregiver for my grandmother. Not only do they under pay you for the the clothing you sell but they mark up the clothing to triple what they paid you and make bank at your expense. Seller beware!!

Someone said they triple the price of what they sell it for. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that they have to make a profit. Most consignment shops work that way. You can always donate them for free to the salvation army, or sell them to your friends/marketplace.

Poor customer service . This was my first time using them as I have boxes of very nice clothes , and some are barely even worn or never worn. Most are from brands like Janie and jack, Zara and HM like brands . Yet they did not accept over half of them. They also pay very little so it’s not worth it because You have to drop off and then go back the next day or few hours later to pick up . The staff has no customer service skills whatsoever . As a first timer, they didn’t even have the common sense to explain properly and when I was talking to the manager asking her what kind of stuff they usually accept so I know what to bring next time. She repeated the same things a few times acting like she was talking to some 2nd grader. I told her I am aware of the policy based on what I see on your site but it seems like whoever went through these clothes didn’t even check properly bc some are brand new clothes such as a $50 Janie and jack dress that is in perfect condition . Instead of being professional, she just continues to repeat the same policy to me . Don’t waste your time here for $20 bucks. Better to drop it off to good will or another place that will not make you feel like this . A wierd place of business for sure that I will not go back to .

Brought 2 baskets of clothes some new and some barely used. I came 2 hours away and was told I would have to come back tomorrow .I was offered a little over 20 dollars and noticed my items were still folded and barely looked at. I was told some stuff was too big and had stains .That was a lie because nothing was over the sizes they take and nothing was stained. Also I tried to sell some shoes 3 pairs all brand new and they offered me 18 dollars I was like what in the world. Never will I ever waste my time here again.

Well to begin with, if I could leave zero stars I would. I never leave reviews ever. But I felt this one was very necessary. So I recently went thru my baby boys things he’s 9 months old and doesn’t use a lot of his things he did when he was smaller. Anyways, everything we have is basically like new. I live in Morton, so I called before I waisted my time going up there. I asked what all they take and if I’d be able to sell it and receive the money the same day. They told me yes as long as it is in good condition and has no recalls. Ok great. The bassinet was slept in maybe a total of 10 times. Looks awesome. I loaded up the bassinet, a little seat, and several bags of clean clothes. I went in and talked to the woman and told her what I had. Her attitude began here before I even got anything out of the car. She was so rude and hurt my feelings tremendously bad. She told me the bassinet was full of stains when there clearly are no stains visible at all. I told her the sheet comes off and I even had more she could have. She didn’t care. She said “naw we can’t take that” very very rude and unprofessionally. Okay so I tried to move past it let that one go, fine. So she says the same thing about the little seat I brought. Alright, that’s fine. So I told her I had the clothes I asked about on the phone. I was never told on the phone it wasn’t until I was in the store I was told the clothes had to be name brand and in a storage bin no garbage bag. She then handed me a paper with the rules. Which is fine. Basically, what I’m getting at why didn’t who I talked to on the phone tell me this before I waisted an hour worth of my time and gas with a baby in my car. Second, why did she have to be so rude before I ever even brought anything in the store? I will NEVER step foot back in this place and make sure to tell any and everyone I know to never shop here or attempt to sell anything here. And I hate it because I was going to buy some clothes after I sold them the stuff. They’d have been getting the money right back. But I left before I started crying from how upset I was. Wish I never waisted my time going to this place. Definitely not worth it at all. Very very unprofessional and very rude and does not care at all about their customers unless you’re a stuck up white person with money is how it seemed. I wouldn’t have thought I’d be treated the way I was here especially since it’s a place for children.. Thanks for reading.

I have sold to OUAC in multiple states and never had any issues until trying to sell to this one. They claim "light stains, wear and tear" and items that I've brought in without a tag but never been worn at all. Each time I've tried to sell I leave with over HALF the items I've brought in. This place isn't even worth the 30 minutes it takes to drive there. I'm not sure who runs it buts it's terrible!

The worst children place I Ever be to, they appear to have good children clothing the owner or whoever was so sharp and rude until I could not stay I didn’t want any trouble so I left I will never ever step foot in that establishment AGAIN I was happy that it’s black owed wanted to support But they had no place to sit I asked one of the workers if My grandson and I could sit on their floor to try on a pair of their shoes she said yes to my surprise , I did purchased the shoes are nice but these people need to know how to talk to their Customers and make them feel welcome SMH 🤦🏽‍♀️ SO SAD

I will say I found a few nice items in this store at a good price point, but as far as customer service goes, it’s horrible!(1) My first time in the store I forgot my ID. I didn’t know they required ID checks to purchase which I explained and apologized to the manager. The manager snapped at me and said I cannot come back to purchase unless I bring ID. That’s fine but it was the Attitude behind it. I decided then I wouldn’t go back.(2) I went back unfortunately bc I needed a last minute buy for my child’s photoshoot. My mom came with me. She politely asked the girl at the front (who was sitting behind the register not greeting or assisting customers) could she use the public restroom. The girl looked up, lied and said she didn’t have a key to the restroom and continued doing nothing, sitting behind the counter. Her attitude was so nasty.They really need to get it together on the customer service side or they will soon find themselves out of business. No one wants to deal with nasty attitudes when they’re spending their money.

I come here seasonally to restock my childrens closets as they grow and it's awesome. I can spend $200 and get basically new wardrobes for my young kids. Don't expect good customer service here though. They are so annoyed that they work there you can feel it. It's a win for me cuz I have social anxiety and prefer not to be approached. But being out right ignored is slightly unsettling when you do have anxiety about approaching people in the first place. This is my experience only. Again. Clothes and prices awesome for single moms on a budget. Just bring a support animal or something

I’ve been to this store a few times. But today I was blown away with the best customer service in my life. Ms. Urica was kind and patient and very knowledgeable about what they could accept for purchase. I sometimes feel uncomfortable selling my used garments but Urica was doing everything she could do to make me feel comfortable. Please visit this location and rest assured you won’t be disappointed!!

This the best kids consignment store ever. I can always find my 4yr old cute clothes at a reasonable price. I always have rewards, so I normally get discounts even though the clothes are already cheap. Kids eventually grow out of clothes especially young ones so I always go here to shop for my youngest because they have a good quality. They also have shoes and baby items for newborns. They do buy clothes from the public as well. I love it here.

Low inventory in this store. I go to a lot of once upon a child's and this one has less options than most. Semi friendly staff. They stay behind the counter the entire time but, when checking out I found them friendly. The store is well organized. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are fine. You have to ask for it to be opened for you. There are almost no toys at this location and minimal baby equipment.

Girls were super pleasant when I brought my items in. I commend them because I was appalled at the behavior of the lady sold her items right before me. Kindness goes a long way especially when you are wanting a business to give you money. Great selection and very organized.

Staff was kind of rude. I wouldn’t sell my items here because they really lowball you. I have twins and was selling their newborn to 3 month clothing. All the clothes were in great condition and washed twice no stains. Some of the items my boys had only worn once. There was a jacket in there neither one of them had worn. They took everything out that they thought would sell. Offered 24 items for $14. None of the clothes had stains on them. I went through, sorted, checked and washed them twice.Brands of clothes were Carters, H&M, Old Navy, Cat & Jack,etc.

The best Once Upon a Child I've ever been to. I've been to OUAC in multiples places in multiple states- Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas. The workers went above & beyond to make our child feel included in her shopping experience, super kind & patient but also black owned which we always enjoy supporting. Super clean and organized. Great prices & clothes. You won't find better people at a better OUAC

We had the pleasure of dealing with Urica. She had the worst attitude of any employee I’ve had to encounter in the Jackson, MS area. After walking up to the bathroom door, I was told “there is somebody in there” with the most condescending attitude. I hadn’t even attempted to go in and there is no indicator for bathroom occupancy. After this, we tried to sell our daughters things that she had outgrown. She again was condescending and when my wife told her she could be nicer, she took off her mask to show us she was smiling. Of course smiling while being rude is still being rude, no matter how you slice it. We will not be returning.

I actually love the store as far as the prices I was shopping for a newborn baby girl so an outfit for her was I got in the range of $7.50 to $8.50 and my 3 year old is in a 5t a pair of jeans for her was $6.50 to 8.50....I think they carry prices by Brand as well so that's why somethings are kinda pricey...but the clothes are like new! They are gently worn! I'll be shipping here for as long as my girls can fit the clothes! They have Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring clothes! I LOVE It....I told my friends about it ! Best store around to me ! And the staff was friendly to me, I went to shop not look to see if they was looking at me lol like some of the reviews say!

My first experience was great! Brought in some of my sons clothes to sale and they paid me fairly for them! As my first time I was expecting to get low baled but they actually came through and offered a fair price for my clothes..they also had super cute clothes for great prices.. I’ll definitely be back!

When I walked in the store it looked very neat and nice, I made a comment to the girl working that the store was much nicer and cleaner than others I’d been in....she just looked at me like I was an idiot. Then they offered me $3 for a pair of $60 shoes that had been worn once. I did see a few good items and made a purchase..but I stood at the register while the manager walked right passed me and didn’t speak, and the 2 girls behind the desk saw me and one went the other way and the other just left me standing there for 5+ minutes after making eye contact with me multiple times. (Never spoke or said just a moment) Decent clothes and great prices, but I won’t ever go back because of the terrible customer service.

Employees were very nice and informative. They only bought a few of my items for about a dollar a piece. Very picky about what they will buy even if it is name brand with tags still on it. The wait time is not long. Nice clean store. Good prices on clothes and big selection. Very organized.

They do seem very low on inventory but yet the last few times they have hardly purchased any of my items which were in good condition. They also lack high end items that other locations seem to have. I also feel the last few times some of the staff have been rude.

So, a lot of other reviews talk about rudeness, but I have never experienced this here. Almost my entire baby wardrobe is from Once Upon a Child and their 10 for $10 deal on onesies cannot be beaten! I have visited this store more than 20 times! In addition to onesies, I have found great (and cheap!) sleep-sacks, cute outfits for photos and holidays, shoes, and baby carriers. There is also a bathroom, which is a plus when you’re pregnant or with a child.I suspect that many of the people experiencing rudeness were ones bringing items to sell as I imagine there are many rules about what is/isn’t accepted, and they probably don’t pay you much given how cheap they sell items for. I can’t comment on that experience as I have never consigned there. I probably wouldn’t ever consign there as there are so many other big consignment events that offer better margins or you can sell things yourself For higher prices on Facebook Marketplace.

Brought in a about three containers of clothes and most of the items were bought. About $100 for shirts mostly. The staff was friendly and they called when they had finished going through my items. I am very please with the service. Its very hard to shop for little boys, but i found some great stuff in here for my son at great prices as well.
