I enjoy every visit to this location, as well as afterwards😋. The service is always awesome; they're friendly and patient with you during the ordering process. That part is real awesome for someone dealing with cognitive issues and is sometimes slow in getting words out.The pastries are delicious and fattening as they're supposed to be. They have this cheesecake turnover that you can get various fruit fillings with. I recently enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches semicolon they had English muffin, biscuit, bagel and croissant. Definitely a revisit

Depending on who you ask, this is the OG donut shop in the area and is better than the imitators with the same name.The service, atmosphere, and food are definitely better at the Richland location.The staff at the Richland location are so nice and helpful.The food at The Donut Shop has never been disappointing. One of my all-time favorites is the tomato gravy and biscuits.

They are a busy little spot. Thay do have a drive thru. The prices are very reasonable. This is the 2-2-2 meal and it was 6.95. With the orange juice, my total was around 9.70.The eggs were good. I'll have to try an omelette sometimes. The sausage were sausage. Nothing special.The pancakes. Now first let me say I've grown up on my Big Momma's home made pancakes so, my standards are pretty high. These looked like they were going to impress me. So I was looking forward to that first bite.And...they ALMOST made it. The thickness and texture were just right. I added the whipped butter and the syrup was thick, not that watery off brand cheap stuff. All of that sounds like it would have made for the perfect pancake experience. Right?The problem was that there was some kind of off flavor, like something orangey, in the taste of the pancakes. I tried to make sure they were the culprit bk I REALLY wanted to enjoy those pancakes. So, I tried everything individually checking for that flavor and yep, it was the pancakes. Sadly. I didn't finish them. It was an aftertaste that I didn't enjoy.Also, about fifteen or so minutes after my breakfast, I got the worst trapped gas pain. Lasted for twenty minutes or longer. Made me wonder if the batter for the pancakes wasn't a little wonky and that's why they tasted funny 🤢. I wouldn't order those again. But I may do an omelette since their plain eggs tasted better than waffle house scrambled tasteless eggs.All that to say, looks can be deceiving. I'm really disappointed I didn't like the pancakes. This could have become a fav new breakfast spot. I'd been thinking about going for months and finally decided to stop by. Oh well, if I try the omelet, I'll be back with a review 😊

I was a valued customer until 1/19/2024 I came to get breakfast as usual and the lady at the register half talking and distant as usual but today she was extremely rude taking my order then she served all other customers before bringing my food I ordered a sandwich and a chocolate layered donut she waited 20 minutes to bring my order and it was cold cheese not even melted I was overwhelmed at this point so I asked for a refund she got upset went to the back and I had to get other staff to get her back to the front for my refund after she came back gave me a partial refund she shorted me a dollar and 35 cents and I brought this to her attention and she became hostile and threw me another dollar and under her breath just enough for me to hear sounds like she mumbled stupid n!&&@ I was so hurt and felt disrespected she did not apologize or even attempt to show compassion I will never buy another item from them ever they are very much racist

A GREAT visit as usual. This place is a normal stop once a month when I come through to Jackson. And as always, Great food and Great service. Have not been let down yet. The ONLY thing that I could say that could be better is the cook never gets the correct temps on meats or eggs. And like everything else seems to be doing, the 🍩's and pastries seem to be getting smaller and the cost💲💰 seems to get bigger!!! Recent Update! Not sure what is happening. But this place is changing. And NOT for the better. This was the place to go for breakfast and donuts for us. But lately the prices compared to the size and amount, is a little sad. And the service is no where near where it once was. Needless to say, Waffle house, a few buildings over has been A LOT busier!! Get it together Donut Shop!

Great local eatery. They serve breakfast and lunch. They also have great variety. They are very well beloved for their great donuts and many breakfast meals. They have many foods that are not on the menu being that the menu has grown over the years. They open at 4 A.M and the only down side is they are not open all day.

Parking is good. The staff is quick and friendly. The food is good and plentiful. Even though this is a donut shop they serve a nice breakfast other than just donuts.

I walked in minutes after opening, happily willing to wait for the sweets and drinks to be ready. I caught a peek at what I think was the owner wipe frosting on a donut with his finger, he was not gloved and I was extremely nervous to consume one so I decided to go with just a drink, I order a simple drink and while I drank it I was happy, until I looked into the cup and seen a greyish fuzzy spot later finding out it was mold. I don’t think this place should be open to the public until it is up until health regulations.

The white lady at the window with the glasses was very nice and because of that alone we will come back.. The Donuts were good and so was the philly cheesesteak and fries! Good food reasonable prices..

I think the donuts were pretty good with a number of great options for not just donuts but also breakfast in general.That said I could tell they were frying the donuts in the same oil they were frying the meat as it tasted a bit like meat.Also the drive-thru literally took over half an hour to move six cars. I would recommend parking and going inside as it would be much faster.Has a lot of potential but there's some things that need to be fixed.

Pretty good donuts, though occasionally get slightly oily/greasy donuts from them having sat a bit long for my taste. The pig in a blankets are fantastic though, no complaints there. Great stop if you have up be up early, as you get in and get out pretty quick, and they have a good selection of drinks and breakfast items

Food took too long to come out, I think I saw someone spreading the condiment on my sandwich with their bare hands and not using safety or protection guidelines. Was not a fan of the service and I think I heard someone coughing in the kitchen. Not a good experience. Wasted day of vacation for me

First, I would like to stay for the most part the donuts are good. My problem is really with the old lady at the window telling me the price for the donuts. I ordered 1 apple fritter, 1 cinnamon roll and 1 bear claw. At first she told me $13.55 so I asked her what in the world did she ring up. She then told me that something went wrong on the cash register so now my total was $7.52.I noticed on the receipt it did not show a breakdown of each item or the tax charged, it just had $7.52 cents on the receipt. I called later to find out what each item cost ( bear claw $1.75, apple fritter $1.75, and cinnamon roll $1.55) Does that add up to $7.52 with tax? People bring your calculator when you shop at the donut shop. I forgot to mention the apple fritter was as hard as a rock, so I had to throw it away. I don't know what going on but someone needs to teach that cashier how to total items.

The staff is always friendly. This place has been here as long as I can remember. I haven't had anything I didn't like. My husband and I occasionally (as a treat) stop before church and get breakfast. One of my favorites is a croissant with cheese, bacon, and egg. I also love the jalapeño colosky/big pig in the blanket.I also occasionally stop a get a couple dozen doughnuts for work.

I love this place! I drive from Madison just for the French toast....eggs, bacon and sausage. I just tried the chorizo and eggs....Coming from California with lots of Spanish family....it was almost as nice as home!Try this place! You will not be disappointed!

I went to this restaurant a couple months back as I was passing through and it was great. Passed through again recently and the ownership must have changed hands. Totally different group of people working in there and the service is slow and the food is awful. The donuts were dried out, the biscuits were hard as a brick and looked like they had been sitting out for a couple days and the steak had a rancid flavor, needless to say we didn't eat it. Go to Waffle House just down the road. Your money is better spent there.

This place was disgusting. We ordered a chicken, egg and cheese croissant. The chicken taste old and out dated, egg was over done, and the croissant was gummy. My family and I moved from Mississippi 7 years ago. We’re here visiting and decided to get breakfast and these are not the same people the use to run this place. I’m not sure what happened but very disappointed

I had a very LONG peice of hair in my eggs. I was asked how I would like my steak cooked. I said medium rare. It came out WELL DONE. none of the food was hot which is crazy because they cook to order...I was told this is an awesome place by multiple people so that why I tried it out. Never again.

I'm honestly surprised this place has such a high rating. Their servers try, but the place seems to be run by incompetent managers. The food is frequently stale and the coffee tastes burnt. Also, some of the male staff are a bit creepy.

The shorter foreign lady taking orders at the drive thru is beyond rude & it took 40 minutes to get up to the window. There were 4 cars in front of us.. the donuts were OK. I wouldn’t go back.
