I really enjoy finding places off the beaten path that had delicious food but one thing that you have to have is consistency or you'll never have a "regulars" that patronize your establishment. This place is hit and miss and depending on who's in the kitchen your food can come out completely different than the time that you had it before.I usually enjoy the jumbo burgers and onion rings but the burgers have been burnt lately and the onion rings don't have the same breading as they used to so they're not as good (but the tots are pretty good). Chicken tenders were decent and fried green tomatoes were pretty good on the previous visit.A couple days ago I ordered the taco salad last time but it was completely flavorless and the chips were soggy because it was a go order but they still put it all together like you're going to eat it right there and unfortunately the catfish meal was greasy and bland and ended up going to the dog. 😬The ladies that work here are very nice and I would enjoy coming here more often if the food was cooked with a little more care and there was a standard of consistency for the restaurant. It's too high priced not to receive what you grow to expect from a prior visit. We wanted a catfish dinner and taco salad and spent $30 which is quite a bit to spend on food that ended up going to the dog. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Quick stop for a burger while passing through on motorcycle. Very good burger, fries rolled in flour and cooked, were very good. Friendly service, clean, nice atmosphere. Will stop in next time in the area.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at, but tonight was by far the best. Long story short, we had bad weather come through today and had no idea they were closing early. My husband called to inform even though they were closed-THEY would still be making our order for take out. You would not receive this service at a chain restaurant. If you are ever in the area, please go visit these sweet down home southern people. You truly get treated like family here.

Wow, talk about a hidden gem for an out-of-towner to stumble upon!Drove by in the middle of the night hunting for my campground at Enid Lake. I wasn't sure the place was even still in business, as it looked quite rustic in the dark of night.Was thrilled to find it open the next morning on my way to Batesville for an event, and had the single best breakfast of my weeklong road trip. Tried to go back the next morning but it was closed for mothers day.To whoever's mom is working at this place, I hope you had a great day off. Thank you so much for your wonderful food and hospitality.

Employees were nice. Burgers were tasteless. No seasoning at all. Tasted strange. Fries were ok. Over $18 for 2 regular burgers & 2 fries?!? Never again!! **Last night at somebody's house..they ordered a pizza.. wrong sz..crust was burned... cheese too! It would probably have been good if it wasn't burned!!

This was our first time visiting the Cafe. When my husband and I first arrived it was a little uncomfortable for us because the environment wasn’t very diverse but we wanted something new and different so we found a seat. When our waitress came to take our order my husband wanted fries but they were out so he asked what another type of fries were and the waitress said “they’re Idaho potato’s and you cut them up I’m not trying to be a smart allick but that’s what they are.” I was taken aback, looked around at all the families and the other staff and placed my order. My husband said maybe she’s having a rough day. Our food came out and when I say it was cooked to perfection and was delicious it truly was. Our waitress came back and was smiling it truly mattered and WE WILL be back again. When we paid the ticket the front staff were amazing, smiling, asked us how the food was and very welcoming.

First time doing a takeout order. It was still plenty warm when I got to Grenada. Good eatin as always. The hubs had never had y’all food before and was very impressed, said he’d love to come in for a sit down dinner.

OMG, I have been doing some work in another town not real far away and someone told me about this place and the quality food they served. He was definitely correct in everything he told me. It is Sunday morning and I decided this would be an excellent day to go try it out. The breakfast was like what Grandma would have fixed me when I was much younger than the 63 years that I am now. The Country Ham, 3 nice cooked to order eggs, grits and toast. The staff in this place add that special touch of caring about what they are doing. OMG, don’t pass this place by anytime You are traveling I-55 between Grenada and Batesville, Mississippi.

My husband and I stumbled on this place. We were hungry but didn't want to go all the way to baitsville so we pulled in just to see what it was like. This place is fabulous. Love the girls working there. Food is fantastic. If you have a special request they will make it for you. We now go no where else when we want to eat out. I highly suggest this place even if your just passing thru like we do.

I love this place, I give it a 5. Great food. I ordered catfish, and it was real good. My granddaughter ordered a hamburger and fries, but she said it took too long, but to me it didn't, cause I was enjoying her company.

We moved to the area a little over 3 months ago and Pope Country Cafe has become one of our favorite places. We just stopped by for a late lunch and as always everything was great. Mike had a delicious burger and I had a shrimp plate that rivaled most. We love you Pope Cafe!I'm editing this post to update. We've been here 5 years now and still love Pope Cafe!

I called in an order for a double cheese burger with bacon and tater tots to go. I was told it'll be ready in 15 minutes. 12 minutes later I arrived and was told that the kitchen is slammed and it's going to be another 20 minutes. I decided to wait, so I went ahead and paid. I then asked if I could go ahead and get my drink since everything is paid for. The server went and made it, and then walked around the restaurant for 3 or 4 minutes talking to customers while I waited. Once i got my drink, I went outside to wait.15 minutes later I went in to check, and my order was sitting on the counter in a go box with my name and my receipt attached to it. I waited a few minutes for someone to help me, and after 3 or 4 minutes of standing there, I picked up my food and left. When I got to the parking lot I opened my food up and the burger was cold, the bread was mushy, and my tater tots were soggy. My food has been sitting on the counter long enough to get to room temperature. It was a completely unenjoyable meal that I did not finish, I paid 16 bucks for, and I gave a $4 tip.Poor quality food and bad service! Too bad there isn't a zero star option.
