Absolutely wonderful experience from the staff!! I was able to view adoptees on their website and walk in to see my new baby 🐕! Adoption fees cover a great deal of things for them also, well worth it! Can't wait to get her next week! ❣️**UPDATE**Just wanted to give another big thanks to this SPCA that made the adoption possible! You can really tell how the staff care for the animals that make it there and they were all super nice, helpful, and gave us all the information we needed!😊 They made the adoption process run smooth and couldn't have done better for us and Cici (Fancy) Thanks again you guys❣️❣️❣️

More pets would get adopted if the fees were not so high. So, all the poor dogs in kennels would have a better chance at a home if you would lower the adoption fee. Whether it be pure bred or not.

Hello my name is Darius Williams I will be surrendering my PUREBREAD Catahoula leopard dog tomorrow at the Picayune Mississippi animal shelterHe is seven months up-to-date on all his shots very well taken care of submissive great family dog I’m Deploying back to the army Saturday night I really want him to go to a good home hopefully for me posting this on here will get someone attention I have pictures of him as well he’s a great dog last people I don’t wanna have to go but I have no choice if someone is interested in him just reply back here and I’ll be checking throughout the day God bless

Have cared for all if my animals, their vaccines and such. Had to have my 15 year basset, Emma, put to sleep. They treated her so well. I really appreciated it.

I brought my 2 precious boys to get neutered and one died, and you were very heartless, very shocked when I wanted him, and when we got home, he was in a trash bag.So today, instead of loving and caring for my cat that just got neutered, I am burying him…I will never recommend you to anybody

id give a zero if i could. extremely unhelpful customer service and they cant even accept pets no matter how soon it has to be. you have to make an appointment to surrender but good luck cause theyre not helpful with that and youre gonna be looking at appointments months out. good luck getting asap care here, they only care about adopting out. anything else? dont bother.

Ladies were friendly. Dog kennels kept clean. Questions answered with no delay. But in a friendly manner. Overall pleasant. Would return again. Even tho I was there for my brother who couldn't be there himself.

Just love this place.It was very clean considering that it was a pound.The staff was very nice and explained that she needed to be spaded before I can take her home and what shots she needed and when to get her stitches out.She has adapted to being the center of attention very well. Haha she is very spoiled.She has also gained 5 lbs.(In one week).

We just adopted our 2nd AMAZING fur baby from them💞. I can honestly say they are a very helpful, honest, and well run facility. Please don't shop around for breeders....there are plenty of wonderful animals here that can have their whole world changed by YOU! The adoption fee is great! I highly recommend you go the extra mile or 150 miles and go adopt your new best friend!

I adopted a cat and had to pay $60.00 Never bothered me because it goes for care of the animals supposedly. Anyway, after 3 months I couldn't care for the cat anymore. I brought it back and was told it would cost $20.00 because of no appointment. Really? All about the money I guess.They also would rather put dogs down when many people are willing to at least foster them. Imagine they don't want to pay someone to foster, cheaper to put them down, sad.

My little Charlie got picked up when I was out of town and thank God he was picked up by the SPCA. I was able to pick him up in a couple of days he was very well taken care of and I could not be more appreciative of this service. Thank you to everyone who helps take care of Charlie for me

Very expensive. They made us pay extra money for one kitten since it was a more "desirable" color. We had to put one of our kittens down shortly after being adopted. Tried medications with the vet but he just stayed sick. Glad our other kitten survived, although very sick as well.

Held an adoption at the PetSmart in Slidell where one of the people in the pen with the puppies kicked at the animals to get them to move/stop playing. When it was brought to the organizer’s attention she had someone “talk” to the girl (which looked like the girl giving an excuse and she got what looked like an “i know”). They continued to allow her to work with them.Do not permit people who can not handle puppies to work with them and abuse them. This behavior is absolutely disgusting and I would hate to see how staff treats the poor animals when no one is watching. Horrendous behavior on everyone’s behalf and it’s absolutely disgusting.

They do the best they can with what they have to work with when adopting my puppy its was confusing the were in middle of 2 endangered dogs hoarder seizures & posting please help I went & met my dog but it's was luck & weeks later I was able to adopt her staff were respectful & nice &so happy to have found my Liviee Sky there. So in closing I got a lot if misunderstood information & but it all worked out & staff were nice kennels taken care of ect I just had trouble with their process

Who ever answers the phone is rude and they say they don't take walk ins and you need to make an appointment weeks out before you can take an animal in. What kind of shelter says you're better off leaving the animal outside then taking it to the shelter?

This place I can never speak more highly of. They not only helped in a desperate time of need putting a loved one down when my vet was closed. But they sent a condolence card. I got him there originally all my animals. They are always the best animals to get. Always the best they seem to be more appreciative. I just adopted another. Breaking him in now. Looking forward to several more years to come. Ty again.

I got my beautiful baby girl from there. She has brought me unspeakable joy since the day we took her home. I was prepared to receive a puppy into my home and knew I had the time to devote to her everyday care. We play and walk and snuggle every single day. Too many people look at a dog as an accessory, or even worse, a burden. I wish every dog could experience a warm loving family. Most dogs are willing to give you there heart, but some people are undeserving and unworthy.

The people at this shelter are very caring and loving towards the animals here. I love my Sadie so much and it was obvious that they loved her while she was under their care. Another dog, who was a stray and in bad shape was brought in while I was getting acquainted with my Sadie, and their concern and compassion towards the stray was very obvious. They helped me get Sadie situated for her ride home, and I am grateful for that. Sadie says "Hi" to all at the shelter who loved her and wants them to know she is enjoying her life here in Florida

Went over there for the yard sale they host. Didn't get photos of everything but they have a big selection of items. Found a few nice things I wanted and some I needed they accept cash and credit/debit cards. Also checked out the pet food bank and got my dogs hooked up with some kibble for about a month. Also gave me some treats for the doggies.

drove 30 minutes to drop a stray dog that showed up on my porch just for the manager to tell us that she will be out in a minute and left me outside for atleast 30 minutes waiting for me to leave when i went around to talk to her that i couldn’t keep the dog she said there was no room which i saw there was empty cages and when i said you want me to drop it on side the road she pretty much forced me to take the dog after i explained i couldnt very rude ppl and i would never bring any animal of mine here
