It’s hard to rate an emergency room because it is never pleasant to be at one, but I’ll try to be as objective as I can, the staff was friendly and calm, they appeared to have only one doctor who was in surgery, that’s the reason he took 3 hours to come out and check on my dog and run blood work as well as X-rays, they put in in fluids and stabilized him quickly, thanks for the service I just wished you had a larger staff so I didn’t need to be there for so long. Price was ok I guess everything is more expensive now but thanks god I have pet insurance

Wouldn't listen that I had vaccine records. Talked over me the whole time. Asked me where he was seen. Said i took my animals to Bienville in O.S. "but ma'am i dont think he went there before". "hold a moment sir"Put me on hold to come back tell me to take him back to the other vet cause they had records. You need a new phone lady who listens.

My dog was in a pretty bad condition, I usually don't reach out to dog hospitals, but I did go to them and they wouldn't do treatment or as of much help him, and 5 hours later my dog had died. They told me since I didnt have the 405 dollars to pay that there was nothing they could do. I cried for hours helplessly and I just feel like even if I didnt have the money they could have saved a life not just let my little Guy pass away like that

Not open on Friday. I mean, how would I even know when they're open because the business hours are not provided on Google. Not even on Facebook. Possibly the easiest thing to do is set your business hours. Also, I brought my cat in back in 2018 because I was worried he was dying. They told me "he has the healthiest blood for an old cat" and he died a few days later. I think a vet should know when a cat is dying? Maybe I'm wrong, but do with that information what you will. And the facility is old and ugly. Needs an update.

I've been taking my "kids" to Pet Harbor for 35 years. Not only have they treated my pets as their own, the staff treats me like family. Throughout the years I have experienced several animal emergencies, each time I knew they would be there for me, and they were. I trust this staff with those closest to my heart.

Let’s start off with fact that my dog is sick. My dog woke up very weak, she projectile vomited and has symptoms of fever. When my dog was a puppy and broke her paw, our regular vet told us if we ran out of pain medication we could give her over the counter infant Tylenol, and since Tylenol is a fever reducer we thought this could apply here. our normal vet is closed for the weekend so we called the emergency hotline. The first time we called they told us “we can’t give you Medical advice over the phone” so we chose to bite the bullet and start googling. We read article after article saying different things. To make a very long story short, we called the first time about 7 hours ago. We just called again twice to see if we could get a different person for an answer that was actually helpful. All 3 times we called they gave us the same answer which was: “we can’t give medical advice over the phone.” They want to charge us $85 just for going there and charge us even more money that the vet deemed necessary. I know these guys will read this, and if they do within the next hour I would appreciate if we could get a call back with a suggestion of what we could give her, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it seems like these people only care about money, and not about this dog’s health. Even my regular vet can give me advice over the phone, this is just ridiculous.

Was told my exam would be $50 dollars, It was a Wednesday morning, in which I prefer Roberts office, but his office is closed on Wednesdays. I felt the veterinarian wasn't sympathetic at all towards my dog at all. As a matter of fact the lady took my very sick dog off the table to the cold floor because he was a pit puppy, stating he would try to get to the other puppies coming in. Although my dog couldn't even hold his head up. Came in picked my puppy back up back onto the table,which I felt very unnecessary. The veterinarian didn't explain anything that was wrong, stated he had to tell me because he couldn't communicate this to the dog like I was an idiot then left the room. I felt he was an obnoxious old man.Hecharged me unnecessary charges and fees and didn't tell me until later at the check-out. I would never go back or suggest this place to anyone else, unless you have a lot of money to just throw away. It costed me literally an arm an a leg. It's pretty bad when other veterinarians warn you not to go here..

I brought my my canine companion in 2x in the same month with what appeared to be some kind of dermatitis in her back. The itching was so uncomfortable for that I wanted her seen asap. For $260 I received an RX antifungal (dispensed as foam, easier application)After minimal results I took her back in with the same symptoms. I saw a different vet as Dr Walker wasn't in the office this time.With this appointment I received an antibiotic and another antifungal, though time it was oral.After 15 minutes of the speculations bandied about during our first visitmy bestie and I cut bait and bailed.Same results, minimal efficacy.The medical model of Pet Harbor animal clinic is an adaptation on par with the standard quality of care offered by any "run of the mill" urgency care center you'll find operating in any struggling, lower income neighborhood in this countrySubstandard, over priced symptom suppression wrapped in a $600 tab.That, my dear Dog/Cat parents is mediocrity, and our loved ones deserve far more.I have to add that although these appts were only a couple of weeks apart, scrape samples were taken during each to rule out mange.
