We found this RV park last minute after a change of plans. We were looking for a nice place to spend a few nights. The manager was very welcoming and helpful; we thought we wanted to stay 3 nights, and he made sure we knew once we paid it was non-refundable. We paid for two nights, and he said that if we wanted to stay a third we could pay that morning. He also promised to let us know if it looked like he would get booked. All worked out fine, and we stayed the three nights. It was nice visiting with other campers. Some were there longer term, working in the area. Some were overnighters, returning because it’s such a nice place. Concrete pads were level, all utilities were in good working condition and attractively maintained. The grounds were well kept. This park is close to I20 and US45, so easily accessible for the night. If you stay a few days and want some outdoor activity, go to Bonita Lakes Park, off 19, just south of I20. Beautiful park with lots of trails, from flat and paved to hilly and challenging, but all well maintained.

Great little short term stay RV Park under new management. WIFI is stated to be great but even when we were next to their booster we can only get two bars. The pads are nice. Roads are tight. The office and little store are great. Propane on site. No ice machine. Owners and staff are very friendly. A few pads do flood in the rain. Utilities are great. Water pressure is 90 PSI SO BRING A REGULATOR. Close to town for food and liquor. We camped at Benchmark Coach & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Family owned, operated and managed RV park. Very organized, clean and well maintained. I was looking for a place to stay for an over night and this place "hit the spot". I called and left a message asking if there were any availability for one night and received a return call within the hour. They had a few openings and could offer a veterans discount to us which put it under $40. Upon arrival, the good folks who run the place not only made sure that I had a very nice pull thru, level, concrete slab, but they also helped me get a fill of propane and taught me a thing or two on how to check the propane tank and made sure I had ice cream on a very hot day. I slept very soundly! The water (high pressure, bring or buy a water pressure regulator), electric, and sewer hookups worked great. No issues at all. I wanted to but ran out of time to do laundry. There is no shower/bathhouse/toilet facility here, you must be able to take care of "business" in your RV/trailer. However, this place is very nice for a night or few... Very accommodating place with a family that provides top shelf customer service. It is not a resort and they don't pretend to be one Go here if you need a safe, clean, well maintained, quiet, place to stay and relax or get a good night sleep with your dog or family or both... I ain't picky. We were in site 10 in case you were wondering. Have a good trip!

We are traveling from Texas to NC to spend Christmas with family in our 38 foot Super C Renegade towing our Jeep Gladiator. We called that afternoon and reserved a pull-site for overnight. They were friendly on the phone and reserved by credit card and it was not a problem for us to arrive late at around 9 pm. It was $40 and had full hook-ups with 30/50 amp power. They immediately sent a text confirming the site number, also directions to site, wifi code, and other helpful information. It was about 3 miles from I-20 but an easy drive, Directions were spot on and navigation to our spot was easy. Most of the sites are pull through so we did not have to unhook the Jeep. It is on a concrete pad that was completely level so we did not have to use the levelers. The wifi was good. The park is clean, quiet, well maintained and we felt very safe. We travel this route regularly and will stay again.

The campground operator was polite, professional, and efficient. Campground late check in information was provided via email and was very thorough. Sites were level on concrete pads and clean. Campground is small but quiet and well-maintained. Very affordable and felt safe. Full Hookups were very “legit,” with 90psi pressure requiring pressure regulator. Electric and internet were very satisfactory.

This park is perfect for an overnight stay and even a couple of nights as I did on the way to Louisiana. Pad was perfectly level...pulled on it and my levels were dead center on both. It is a very nice park that seems to be well kept. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that three is no pad to put your lounge chair out on. besides the concrete pad, it is grass. Also, there is no cable and my antenna picked up one channel clearly. the others were in and out no matter where I directed my antenna.I would definitely recommend for a night or two and will be stopping back in between Virginia and Louisiana.

Very friendly folks who keep the park up nicely. It's not a resort but certainly a clean quiet, safe spot to stop off for a day or two. We appreciated the excellent internet service, which is rare, and the level concrete parking pad. Will definitely return when we pass through.

Well kept and reasonably priced. The park itself was pretty quiet (minus when the train nearby came though but it wasn't too bad, honestly) Full hook-ups and mainly pull thru sites. All in all this was a good place to stop for a few nights.Dog-friendliness: Theres a dog park behind the office

Nice and quiet. Well-lit and well-kept RV park with level, concrete pads that are easy to pull into and park any size rig for one night or more! Everyone was nice, and the park was easy to get our big rig around. This was an excellent place to park and get a good night's rest in our travels! They have laundry facilities and a bath house, but the bath house is closed because of Covid.

We broke down on our way through the state and our tow truck driver found the place and towed us there After hours. I’m so happy we ended up at benchmark. The owners are extremely nice and very thoughtful! The RV park was great, laundry facility was nice, i enjoyed the view of all the trees, and it was located by a great park! I’d definitely stay there again!

Zero stars is what is needed here. The campground manager/owner is the problem. The campground is nice but the campground manager/owner lacks the most basic people skills and customer service. We were quoted a monthly rate for a three week stay and quoted a price for that rate. When we went in to pay for it he rudely denied ever saying that and then told us to just to leave, kicking us out of his campground because we were holding him to his word. We traveled HOURS here for a serious medical issue with our parents and he knew that. He insisted we would pay the full monthly rate even though the price was over $100 what he had quoted me. This was all after the camping spot he had promised to give us was given to someone else who paid by credit card when he strongly urged us to just pay in cash when we arrived on our original call. Complete unprofessionalism. He sat there arguing with us about this looking like he had just crawled out of the bed. This place will never make it if they treat their customers this way. One other bad rating said BEWARE. I completely agree. Do be fooled by the exterior provisions. The management of this place is what deserves this low rating. He needs some serious remedial training in people skills and good customer service. I cannot stand to do business with someone who lies and refuses to honor their word.

Nice overnight park. The area is a little questionable but the park is well cared for. Gravel roads with concrete pads. There is a train on that runs on the back of the property. The utilities worked great. Water pressure is 90psi. Use pressure regulator.

We stayed 2 nights but left early on the second day. When we arrived the heat index was nearing 110 degrees. Their 30 amp would only run our ac and their 120v outlets were not working. I know my total wattage output and the ac only pulls half of that. Plus our ac will toggle between the front ac and rear ac, turning on only one compressor at a time.Since there are no amenities here and it was so hot we set up a small kiddie pool in our secluded area (we were next to some woods and a fence on one side) and were told immediately to put it up. The manager was very rude and when I asked why it was a problem since we were only allowing them to sit in it for an hour to cool off since the ac was struggling, he told me it was a liability. How? It has 2 inches of water and the hidden holes in the grass all over our campsite are deeper than 2 inches, one of which I twisted my ankle in. He mumbled something and walked off. We understand the need for rules, however they should make sense and be enforced with a better attitude. Also, they advertise wifi but it's not strong enough to view normal websites with video and forget streaming.

This is another park that we stopped at on a trip. It was very small hardly any trees. The sites would be enough to pull through with your car. There was absolutely nothing to do there. We only stayed a few days. But they have a washer and dryer and ironing board and iron. The bathrooms are clean and big. As a rest over stop I would recommend it.

Our site was close to level. Sites are a bit narrow but the cement pads are staggered so that helps to make it feel roomier. Grass needed to be cut. We ended up extending our stay by 2 nights due to a tropical storm going through the area we were supposed to go to next. Was no problem doing so. Laundry consists of 2 washers and 2 dryers and are reasonably priced. Laundry and shower/bathrooms are in the same part of the building and all are kept clean. Wi-Fi is free, however the signal is best near the office and laundry. Even there it can be a bit slow and unreliable. We chose to use our own. Would stop again when in the area.

A small, simple campground that’s a great stopover. We only stayed one night at Benchmark but it was a very nice stay. The owner of the park was very friendly and helpful. We used our Passport America discount and only paid $15.The park is mostly gravel with a concrete pad at each site. Full hookups were great. Not a ton of shade but the trees that are there are large. A few folks were sitting under one together enjoying some drinks when we arrived. There’s an off leash dog area which I greatly appreciate. It amazes me that some of the big RV resorts don’t have these. Very nice to let our dog run about a bit.We used the showers and they were private, hot, and clean. Excellent. It is a little tricky getting there. We had to do a u-turn because our GPS didn’t quite get the path right. Take a look at the map yourself beforehand to have an idea of the turn.My only complaint about the campground was that I saw several fire ant mounds. There was one right next to our site pad that we had to be careful to avoid.Otherwise, this was a great stop. We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever passing through the area.

Nice, quiet campground a few minutes off the interstate and just off US 45. The only noticeable noise is a train track at the rear of the property. Nice pads to park on and newer picnic tables. Great water pressure, make sure you use a regulator. They have propane for sale and a Dollar General just down the street. There is a gas station close by also. Owners are very nice and keep the camp clean. Stayed 2 nights in a 35 ft. MH.

We stopped here for the night. Very nice clean RV Park level pads fast and easy to set up. Would definitely recommend this place and we plan to stay here again when passing through the area. If you were visiting the area this would be a good spot to use as your base station.

We made reservations and we went in to pay with our mask but they don't wear masks. We were told we couldn't use the facilities because he would have to increase his rates by $10 a day to have someone clean them. Well that's something they should tell you when you make reservations. He said if we had a pop up we could, huh, that makes no sense other than he's lazy and doesn't want to be inconvenienced! Apparently he is looking for money and doesn't want to serve the people. We have a 24' RV we live in and had to convert our shower into a closet and storage so we need the facilities for showering. Last year when we stayed here I would have given them a 5 star review but different ownership has made this park less than convenient and pleasant.

This is a great RV stop for those not looking for a lot of on-site social activitie. Don't the get me wrong, they offer a very friendly atmosphere, clean public restrooms and showers, along with a very clean and reasonably priced laundry facility.Cement pad and gravel roads seriously help to keep the area clean. The grounds seem well maintained and free of litter. The office opens at 4:30 p.m., so upon arrival you call the owner to let them know you have arrived. This situation frees up the owners to maintain the park during the day instead of sitting in the office all the time.TAKE NOTE: The water pressure in the park is very high at 90 PSI. There is even a sign in the office warning of this. Bring a good pressure regulator! Of course, this is advisable to anyone that RVs.The only drawback is people sometimes go a to fast in the park.

Great little park. Wish we had more time to spend here & check out the sites! Concrete pads, FHU 30/50 amp. Gravel interior roads. Very clean, well maintained park. We will be back. Dog park also. That’s always a plus.

Terrible place. Charged us for an overnight stay even when they said they would only hold my credit card # until we arrived. After driving all day from GA on I-20 to Meridian; we missed the turn to Benchmark Coach RV Park because of a wrong address when planning our trip and ended up at Bonita Lakes RV Park. When I called and told the guy I talked to about our mistake and we did not want to backtrack; he informed us he was charging our credit card for the reservation since we did not show up. Sure enough We got stuck with a full charge of $32.50 instead of $27.50 with our Good Sam Club discount. Shame on you for treating seniors like this. Will never recommend you ever and will tell our friends to avoid your campground. Told the lady checking us in at Bonita Lakes what happened and she felt so bad and would not charge us for our overnight stay. Just told us to go find an empty site and stay with us for free. There are good people in this world after all. Karma will get back to Benchmark RV Park for sure. We will tell all our friends to stay away from Benchmark.
