The fish was great but the fries (if thats what they call them) were awful! I can't even describe what they are but I forsure know I would never want them if I were to go back. The employees were friendly and accommodating. Their prices are a little ridiculous especially with the portions you get served so that was disappointing. As I said my fried catfish filets were really good but I need sides that are edible to get satisfied. I paid the $5 extra to get a salad but I don't think I will make that decision again if I return it just wasn't worth that much. Centerville please bring back normal French fries!!! I am not the only one who is of this opinion I promise this

I will be moving soon and will just down the road from them again, and I love it.Ordered take out 3 weeks ago and I was not able to even touch my food until the next day, and the meat was the best meat, yes heated up and everything. Service was great they had everything ready when we arrived to pick it up.You will not be disappointed if this is where you choose to eat at anytime.

They have the BEST steaks and catfish. We eat there at least once a week. We do take out due to the enormous amount of people that come from further than us. The salad bar is good also.The service is very good considering that not only are they packed, they have people waiting in the wait area for a table. Our to go order is always on time and everything we need is always correct. This is that one place that is very country and we will be getting our one meal a week for as long as they stay open!!

My family, party of 29, had our Christmas dinner here. Our server was awesome and on point. She definitely was experienced with large parties and prepared.We arrived and started ordering at 5:30 p.m. I wanted the friend oysters. They were out. I opted for the fried shrimp which was overcooked making it too hard to eat. Their slaw was good but nothing special. The boiled shrimp was cooked so long it shredded while being peeled (not edible). The popcorn shrimp was overcooked, rock hard (not edible). The chicken strips were tender, yum. Their french fries and baked potatoes were cooked perfectly. Everyone who ordered a steak (which of course I tried too) was very pleased with their meal. I can agree that their steaks are amazing. The grill cook nailed his post.Friendly professional staff. One of the best steaks I have eaten. Everything else was just okay or a major disappointment.

Centerville fish and steak is a local staple. The place has been there for many years and has a very loyal following. I say this as having lived across from it for several years at one time.The menu is essentially southern comfort food. Steak, fried catfish, hush puppies, shrimp etc...The food is usually cooked well enough (to my tastes anyway, yours may vary with how you like your steak) and it's relatively inexpensive (it's still steak though... Keep that in mind.) My only complaint is their fries. They are a home cut type, but the problem is whenever I've gotten them they're always soggy while I prefer crisp.The atmosphere is nice and it's almost always full of regulars. People and their families that grew up going there. So be prepared if you've never been before, people catch up with one another either by talking across the room or standing next to the tables making it a little more crowded.

Great food. Been going here for years and have never ever ever had a bad experience. Service is great. Always a packed house for a reason. I think I'll fight the crowd for a steak this weekend and next.

One of the best steaks I have ever eaten! The waitresses are always very nice and the salad bar is great too. I usually order the 8 oz. and add on a shrimp skewer! Very friendly atmosphere!

Was busy but a place that takes care of you, has decent food prices, and great tasting food, one would expect it to be busy. Staff worked hard to do everything for their customers. I've never been disappointed here.

Even though the place looks like a dump, don't let that stop you from trying this place. They serve great fish and steak. The salad bar is limited but who goes for the salad anyway. Try it out if your looking for some local great food.
