These people have NO interest in your business. In the past I have learned not to shop here unless absolutely necessary. Today was the day. I needed rye grass. I had called earlier in the week and got the run around. So I had to go in and resolve it in person. I waited in line for about 5 minutes. Then a woman in her 40’s told me I had several options. I asked the options, she gave me the names of the grass. I asked what was the difference because they were all different prices—what makes them different? She did not know. So I said then I’ll need to know the germination rates and purity percentile. She told me she did not know and that I would have to go to the warehouse and figure that out, as if she did not care and acted irritated that I had asked and waited in her line of one. So I went to the warehouse and a nice young man helped me. I read the tags on the bags and he suggested the most popular for the area. When I had called earlier in the week, a girl had told me the names of rye they carried but when I had asked the types of rye she was confused and did not know. She actually told me they were “rye”. Really? That’s what we were talking about. So, I soon realized after looking at the second bag in the warehouse that they all were the same BRAND and the TYPES of rye were the TYPE names they were telling me at the counter—not the BRAND. I had tried to look up the “names” given online earlier when I called but it came up with nothing—because they gave me the brand’s type name and not the brand name. Brands can label their own type just like any other plant producer—like roses or vegetable seeds or tomato types. The brand they carry is common so I could have easily looked it up online and gotten the info I needed if these people knew their products what they were talking about. That’s why I had to come in. After wasting almost 30 minutes of my time already I returned to the counter to find the same woman cashing out and another girl on the phone helping a customer. The third CSR was nowhere to be found and another woman who had been in line with another CSR when I had first come in had her face in her hands at the counter. The phone rang again a few times and when it was not answered, a white haired gentleman came out from the office and told one of the girls to answer the phone. The older woman spoke back and said she was cashing out, and that the other girl was on the other line with a customer. The phone continued to ring, the man continued to direct someone to answer the phone, while standing on the upper level overseeing the sales floor doing nothing but barking orders. Finally he himself answered the phone, told the person on it they were very busy and he had several customers lined up at the registers inside the store—that would be me, unrecognized by any clerk, and the poor woman with the migraine waiting on the other clerk I supposed. Finally the young girl got off the phone and waited on me so I could tell her what I wanted, pay, and get a ticket. My transaction took all of 2 minutes now because I had educated myself on what I needed with no help from the sales staff who are absolutely clueless and don’t give a rat’s patootie. And I won’t even mention when I called and asked if they had bentonite clay for soil conditioner. Let’s just say it was like a Monty Python episode before I hung up on her. Word to the wise: don’t ask about basically anything—because they don’t have a clue. They are supposed to be a farm supplier, but don’t know Jack about farm products. Tractor supply is the better option, however, it you know exactly what you need—check the price with them because there is a chance they have a better price on it if you need bulk. Less than bulk, TSC usually best. And forget their “Co Op Membership”—it does nothing for you. I have never received a year end statement on purchases from this store. And yes I am in the system—checked today, didn’t even bother to ask another question on that. I absolutely, positively would drive to another state if I could find what need somewhere else in one place.

Love getting my feed & all from here. Prices can't be beat but sometimes not all the workers are friendly, they seem a little stuck up sometimes. The guys that load at both bays (fertilizer and feed) have always been polite & friendly but the inside workers, not so much. But it's not going to stop me from shopping here, yet.

Rude folks working front desk. Guys in the warehouse are nice as they can be but the ladies working the front counter have been rude on two different occasions. I will buy sack fertilizer and use my little 3 point spreader before I use them again.
