Extremely happy with services for my Lou dog!They were very busy & worked us in. He got a fantastic cut, nails clipped, & was made nice & clean. Friendly service as well. Highly recommend, as I will surely be taking Lou back for a tuneup LOL.

This morning I tried to drop off my labradoodle for grooming. When I spoke with a lady on Wednesday she said I could drop my dog off between 8:00 and 8:30. I arrived at 8:10 and the shop was closed. I called the number on the shops sign and no one answered. I decided I would wait to see if anyone would show up. They did show up at 8:15 and stared at me like I should not be there. I went into the shop and was told they didn’t open up until 8:30. I told the girl about my conversation last Wednesday and she told me I was wrong no one would tell me that. Then she wanted to take my dog reluctantly. I would never leave my dog at this salon. It could have been handled in a professional matter, but I do not think these people are very professional. Do your self a favor stay away!

Made an appointment a week before we went in. We’re told to drop our pup off between 8-10, we dropped him off at 9:30. According to their website and door it says they close at 5, at 5:20 I called to check on him and was told they had just started. We went to the salon at 7 and he was still getting cut. We expressed our displeasure but paid and left. We left for out of town straight from there and when we arrived, and our dog was able to play we noticed extensive blood everywhere he was running. We looked at his paw and noticed a huge gash and what appeared to be GLUE holding the cut together. It was 10:30 pm so we called in the morning. When we called the owner explained that he “stepped on scissors” unsure how the scissors were left to where he could get a gash in his paw. We were never informed of it until we called. We said we would accept a refund on the hair cut and we would cover the vet bill to make it easy however the owner of the salon refused and said she would cover the vet bill. We went to the vet and explained so they called to verify and the salon owner said that she already refunded us. We were not made aware of this and we’re treated very disrespectfully and rude. It would have been one thing had they informed us of the injury when it happened or even when we picked him up. Instead they said nothing until we called and then had no intentions of refunding because they assumed we wouldn’t go to the vet but when we did she changed her mind realizing the vet bill will probably be more than the hair cut. Very unacceptable and unprofessional and She back tracked on every word she said.UPDATE:: And then you respond that you’ve never groomed my pet. That is a blatant lie. You know it is a lie, I have receipts, and picture proof. You are making this worse and I will report you just for this. I had moved on until you responded with a flat out LIE. I literally am baffled by this. This shows how unprofessional this business is. Can’t even own up to their mistakes and has to lie and cover them up. Don’t be fooled.

Tried Shaggy Chic for the first time. Took Stella Rose in for a full bath, nails, haircut, etc., They did a fabulous job! Very sweet staff, even though it was a Friday & they were so very busy! Ziggy is next!

I've started bringing my large dog (Olde English Bulldogge) there. They clean him up very nicely. They were the only groomer near me that still groomed large dogs (my boy is over 80 lbs). The facility is always clean when I go drop him off and there is also an assortment of goodies sold in front. We just got a new puppy and he is going too.

Shaggy Chic was recommended by a friend. The first review I saw was from an unhappy Yorkie customer but that must have been a very isolated event. My experience was great. Friendly and a perfect cut for my breed. This is an excellent groomer service and I think it is unfortunate that the unhappy yorkie review displays so prominently on the web.

Judy and her staff were amazing! The staff provided a friendly environment and it's very clear they spoil your pets while they have them. My chocolate lab was well groomed and very happy when I picked her up.

My mom took her pup here for her first grooming visit. First of all it took ALL day to find out they could only scissor cut her for the first cut, not a problem but they did a horrible job. Her hair was uneven all over and it was very noticeable. Against my advice, she wanted to give them one more chance due to the good reviews they have. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a huge mistake! When the dog was dropped off instructions were given to not cut ears, tail and no to leaving a beard and she wanted her 1/2 inch on her body. Needless to say those instructions must not make it to the person doing the grooming, because they cut her ears, tail and left a beard. The cut itself was horrible and her dog will NEVER be going back here again!

BEWARE OF SHAGGY CHIC PET SALON!!!!! They thought they could DELETE my last review, I will never forget or forgive what they did to my yorkie!! The groomer CUT my dogs skin off, I had an appointment for first thing that morning, I called 2 times to see if she was ready. I finally drive up there shortly before 5:00 to find out she cut my dogs skin off!! And tried to super glue it together!! Judy, the owner was the most heartless and rude person I’ve ever met!! She never called me to check to see how my dog was doing, she never once apologized. She actually stated “sometimes things like this happen while grooming”!!!!!!! Do not bring your dogs here!!!!

Their card machine didnt work and I had to run back out to get cash and come back to pay. A hassle when you have two small kids. BUT they cut my dog's nails quickly and with no problems despite her anxiety over having her nails cut. Once they work out a few kinks they will be top notch in my book.

THIS DOG GROOMER CUT THE SKIN OFF MY YORKIES LEG!!!!There is a HUGE GASH in my sweet little yorkie's leg that they clammed was just a "scratch" I'm so mad I'm shaking! By the way they treated my dog and how the owner totally IGNORED me while I was in her presence. The owner NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED AND CLAIMED "THAT THIS JUST HAPPENS SOMETIMES"Judy, the owner, answered and said have them at the Long Beach location off of Beatline Road at 9:00 in the morning.Next morning I ask when she should be ready she said "sometime after lunch"At 12:00 I call them to check in, at that time the women that answered said she was cutting Minnie then and they would be ready in a "little while" I ask her how long she said "2 hours" which my husband and I thought was a bit RIDICULOUS to have the dogs there for 5 hours when I the owner told me their appointment was for 9:00.At 2:30 still no word from them, so I call them... The phone rings and rings, no one answers (Which they have caller ID I know this because the first time I called I asked if she needed my # and she said no its on caller ID) So I drive up there to get my baby.Groomer says, "We had a little boo boo, Minnie moved while I was shaving her and I scratched her leg" I said let me see, I look and it is no "Scratch or knick" it was a GASH that was still bleeding all over!! I immediately started FUMING and was asking her how could this happen to my sweet girl she is so calm and you can do ANYTHING to her and she will just lay there. The girl apologized to me and said she put "glue" on the bleeding wound to hold it together, which didn't work. While I'm fussing at the girl the owner yells "go put some more glue on it!!"... (Judy-the owner-did not come over to me NOT ONE time to address the situation or appologize even after she heard me get upset with the girl that cut her.)I get Minnie back and I sit down on their chair to really exam it and Minnie cried when I was looking at it, I said WHERE is the owner, at that time I did not know who the owner was bc she never came up to me after all of that. The girl was crying while I walk over behind the gate to the owner while she was still cutting a dog. I told her that this is NOT A SCRATCH and I'm bringing her to the vet to get stitches.She said, "it probably won't need stitches, this just happens sometimes". I told her i was not paying. I UNDERSTAND accidents HAPPEN!! BUT what REALLY MAKES ME MAD is the way the OWNER COMPLETELY IGNORED MY PRESENCE AND IGNORED THE GIRL THAT WORKED FOR HER WHILE SHE WAS CRYING and DID NOT apologize ONE TIME or offer me not to pay for her botched haircut and gaping wound that occurred while in her care!!!!! Shows what kind of person she is. When I was leaving the owner smart assingly said, "have a good weekend, bye" as I slammed the door.My dog is the sweetest calmest girl and there is NO REASON why she should have been put through that!!!!!I went to the vet down the street from the grooming place and was going to pay $41.00 to have Minnie seen and he looked at it and said, yes it could use stitches, but the location of the cut is not good for stitches bc it will continue to split open. He did not end up charging me an office visit.***PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT take your pets to "SHAGGY CHIC PET GROOMING" in LONG BEACH!!!!! Avoid them at all costs!!!!-Oh and this place does not ask for your dogs shot records either!!*First attempt of an apology EVER! ONLY after posting my review on multiple websites and telling EVERYONE I know about this horrible place! The owner claims she was out on surgery, BUT that day she was STANDING GROOMING a dog! I was NOT asked for my shot records and this was my first visit there! I do not know her personally, true. I only know of her heartless and uncaring demeanor and "matter of fact attitude" when I seen my calm 10 yr old yorkie with a huge bleeding gash on her leg. I will NEVER let this go, I will continue to tell EVERYONE I KNOW how you treated me AND my dog!!!!!!
