This year was my second time going, I celebrated my birthday there. Absolutely amazing, our server, Bria, was literally the best. The food was top tier, and dessert as well!! <3(^‿^✿)Kid-friendliness: Good portions of food for kids, especially when the most kids don’t eat a lot at most restaurants. They also had crafts they could play with, and the outside sitting area. Varieties of desserts!

I had a very good experience here! The service was great and so was the food! I highly recommend getting the fried calamari and vodka pasta. Definitely stop by the ice cream car and get you some scoops!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and ice cream bar

The last few time I have been there great service fast getting food usually in and out. Today however was a total disaster. We waited hour and a half for our order. It wasn’t even busy. The people working were cutting up and playing when we went to go ice cream. My friend paid for her ice cream and didn’t receive it because of that. She also waited 10 - 20 mins waiting for it. They told her they couldn’t refund her at all.

I rarely write reviews but…. Our hot and delicious pizzas were made to order and served by Bennett, who is one of the best server’s we have ever experienced! The appetizer orders of Fried mozzarella sticks were perfect!! none better! And the spinach and artichoke dip was so good we wished we had a gallon of it! So rich and creamy! We all topped off this amazing meal with a scoops of ICE CREAM!! And my oldest granddaughter was delighted to find the Scoop shop had the perfect peppermint ice cream, pink with real pieces of peppermint throughout! This service and meal was a standard setter we will remember for a long time! Thank you Staff!

Found this place recommended in an article on the best food in Jackson. Sal and Mookies deserves to be on that list! Great service, pizza was cooked properly and out fast. We got the Meat Packing District (reg size). With 3 people in our group, we struggled to finish it. But we did! No way we were leaving pizza this good behind. Tasty, Melty, meaty with a sauce that’s perfect balance of tangy and sweet. We all agreed: One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had.

we had the best sunday lunch at sal & mookies! ty took care of us and she was so sweet. she made sure we were taken care of and made the entire experience so much better. i highly recommend the madison square garden pizza! they even have a gluten sensitive small pizza option that is one of the best gluten free options ive tried. will definitely be coming back!

Sal & Mookie's left me thoroughly impressed! The Hot Wings packed a flavorful punch with the ideal level of heat. Their Greek Salad struck the perfect harmony of fresh ingredients. The Hamilton Avenue Tomato pie, layered with Di latte, crumbled hot Italian sausage, and pepperoni, was an absolute delight – the flavors harmonized beautifully. The Zydeco pizza, boasting ricotta, mozzarella, crawfish tails, andouille sausage, creole seasoning, and green onions, offered a distinctive blend of tastes that left me craving more. And I can't forget the Ziti Al La Vodka pasta, featuring onions, pancetta, basil, and chili flakes in a vodka tomato cream sauce – a mouthwatering addition to their menu.Without a doubt, this place is for pizza and pasta enthusiasts!

Hands down our favorite place to eat when we are in Jackson. Last night we ate here and our experience was as awesome as it always is. From our hostess Lexi to our waitress Kayla to the manager Dixie, they each made the experience. Didn’t hurt that the food was awesome. I grew up in NY/NJ and their pizza is authentic. My daughter loves their ice cream shop. A must eat at when you’re in Jackson

Sad because this is my wife and my favorite place to go to our monthly eat out treat. Last two times we've got here the food (Burgers) you can tell was rushed, burnt and dried out, even though we order ahead of time which is understandable seeing as what we get is usually wonderfully made and takes time and even our ticket on the bag says medium, not extra well done. Again last two times, a month apart food is burnt like charcoal on the outside and super dry over cooked inside. 0 seasoning, which their Cajun burger seasoning is amazing, which you have to request was never added and burger wasn't decent enough to finish. It is pricey but when done is usually so worth it. Just hate this happening because it's convenient in distance of their location to us, but seems like the issue didn't resolve, idno maybe unfortunate coincidence that it happened twice in a row and hopefully we will eat there again one day. Hopefully it's just us because their food usually is always really really good, just don't to waste that kind of money over and over again. Other than that overall there food is 5 star but these last two times it was a 0.

I used to frequent this place but hadn’t visited in a while. My family was visiting from out of state and in the mood for a patio environment because of the beautiful weather. I initially thought of S&M because of the family friendly environment. We arrived during rush, 7:30pm on Friday April 12. No worries there, we anticipated a wait. We were quoted 45 minutes. We had 9 in our party, including a service animal.The hostess added our name to the list and we patiently waited for our table. Once 90 minutes passed I approached the hostess, and she very rudely told me how we couldn’t be accommodated because there weren’t tables near each other.We were sat at two different tables, which ruined our experience. I was so excited to bring my family, who I hadn’t seen since 2020, to a nice dinner.We felt rushed out.Upon leaving the ice cream staff told us we could only get scoops because they were trying to close down. They were soooooooo rude, I was embarrassed! I have never refused to tip, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave them anything.Jackson has a wide variety of options for dinner, I am saddened that this was their first impression of this great city.I don’t think I’ll be back.

Thus place serves up some good pizza with very unique toppings that you may not find in other places. Even the portabello fries were unheard of to me and are now a favorite. The pizza was sauced amazingly with gooey but not ultra hot cheese. The service is helpful, punctual, and kind. The atmosphere was cheerful and sweet like ice cream. If you're looking for pizza of a special kind with good service, this is the place for it!

Jeff Good has been major in the City of Jackson and this is just a taste of what he has to offer!Update: recently visited the New Sal & Mookie's and I immediately fell in love with decor and the overall feel of the new location! It's seemed like the heartbeat of The District and seeing all of these beautiful faces from all walks of life just proved what I recently posted about this place. I'm speaking from 2 sides. I once worked at S&M when it 1st open It's doors and to see it now is just mind blowing! Good Job Mr. Jeff & Dan!

Thought I would try everything. The hot wings were amazing. They were the right temperature not to spicy but you cold feel the heat. The pizza was small and I could only eat half. The pizza was soggy but the crust was amazing. The butterfinger Oreo shake hit the spot. Took a lot of pictures of the menus because there were no updated ones. The hostess was not very welcoming and not happy. Luckily I had the best waitress Tenisha who suggested the wings and spent time to talk to you. I would recommend going just to say hi to her

We went after a parade so it was very crowded and the wait was long but we love the food its always worth the wait. I ordered a pepperoni pizza for the table, and shrimp pasta for myself. The wait staff was very helpful and you can tell they are real team players they were helping each other get the food and drinks out even if it wasnt their table. They were focused on our happiness they didnt rush us at all, the food was presented on the plate with much pizazz. I love this location, food, and staff

My children love Sal n Mookies, it’s never the food, once you get it. However, the service is always abysmal truly limiting the experience. I honestly had refused to return even after Jeff tried to call and rectify a previous issue 6-7 months ago. Good on the owner for trying. That time I spent about 30 min after the check was down for a server to return, never to do so, after fixing the check with a group two times in error. The manager had to actually run my cards because the server literally just left us, we were never rude or obnoxious as she was still serving other tables. Just didn’t come back by, ever.Fast forward to yesterday where my son really wanted pizza and against better judgement I took my three kids at 5:00, not busy (even with an event on the green space), plenty of servers walking around. Almost 20 min sat with kids and not even a water offered to us. Asked the hostess to see if we were in a non sat section seeing if there was an error trying to give the benefit of a doubt, she ignored me, walked off not looking for a server, she went on to sit more tables who got drinks and ordered as their server saw them immediately, with us still not even acknowledged. I have three kids who are not quiet, I know we were seen. Finally asked for the manager, who was cordial and understanding doing his best to rectify. Asked us to sit back down, but why would I want that service?Soulshine it is from now on. I wish Eudoras had more kid options because the green space is too good not to take kids too or get them ice cream.

The food was pretty good.. you couldn't pick the pizza up because the toppings were all in the center of the pizza. You literally had to eat it with a fork and knife. The main reason I only gave two stars was because of the state of the box I got on my take out order. It was dark so I couldn't see it until I got home but there was pizza all over the outside of the box that got all over the floor and seat of my car which I had to have cleaned. Update: Mr. Jeff Good (owner) reached out to me personally. After a couple of emails he said he wanted to make it up to me. I received a gift card in the mail today! People make mistakes, but when an owner steps up and takes responsibility and makes it up, that goes a long way. Thanks Mr. Good!

This was my first time at Sal and Mookie's. We dined in, and ordered 2 large 18" pies and they were really good! They even passed out hot plates right before the pizzas came, which I thought was a nice touch.The service could've been better though. We waited about an hour for the pizzas to come out and it wasn't crowded. I was never offered a refill over the hour and a half. I'd like to write this off as post-covid employee issues. The pizza gets 5 stars, the service 2 stars on the day. I would likely opt for pickup in the future.**Edit** I tried the pickup option this time and I was standing at the counter for 15-20 minutes before I actually received the 1 pizza ordered an hour before. There was a lady at the cash register awkwardly not doing anything the whole time. Super strange, pizza was good though!
