I’ve been reading the reviews on this place for a while just hoping that this was the right place for my babies. Meh Meh & Miko were born in the same litter, never been separated from each other or myself so it was really hard when i realized i couldn’t take care of them how they needed. they’re ab 5-6 months, both girls. Very shy at first but soo sweet and playful. I hope someone nice can adopt both of them.. i tried separating them for a night & they both cried so i think it’s separation anxiety. Please if you’re thinking ab adopting, consider taking in both of them. the light grey one is Miko or Meech . the darker grey one is Mey Mey . Thank you

I worked with Alicia and she was great. She understood our living situation—we live in an RV, so no fenced yard, but we walk our dogs several times a day and visit dog parks when we find them. She kept us informed of our dog’s spay and we set up a time to meet. The rescue is a foster setup, not in an actual building.

I gotta say The two people they have working the front desk on the 16th of this month. me and my wife tried to get a puppy, and becuase my male dog is not fixed yet they wouldnt even alow us to adopt the puppy even though we made an appointment with there business for our dog to get fixed. So there is 150 down the drain we didnt even need to spend.The lady at the front desk needs customer service skills before working with people.cant listen thinks she knows it all. You have the male that thinks working with animals is a hardjob. Maybe try a better line of work .These people need to get a clue in how to deal with people and common sense, clearly they both need some training or removed from this position and get someone in there that can do their job better. Last time I will try and rescue any animal from here .Side note had a friend of mine that's in the army try and adopt a puppy and they also gave them a hard time and couldn't even get a puppy them selfs

My name is Tiffany Williams my dog Kasey had taken ill with pyometra in her uterus.I call multiple people for help .because I’m on fix income an couldn’t afford the surgery my dog needed. I finally call Marl an they did not hesitate to to tell me to bring my dog in.. because if I haven’t my dog would have passed away which I don’t think I would have been able to handle I am forever grateful because they save my dog life an she is doing so much better I will recommend them to anyone .. they save my dog life an me a hurt ache .. thank u .. I could never thank them enough. They welcome us with open arms the staff was very friendly an made us feel comfortable I’m so team MARL...Update... I called concerning my sister's missing dog they were very very nice considerate understanding made me feel like they really cared took down information in case they heard anything or did find out anything on her dog just overall they went out of their way and were great about the whole situation I just thank them for their time and their understanding it and how nice they were

When we decided to add a second dog to our family, we wanted to adopt a dog from a local shelter. We enjoyed working with the staff at MARL. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Our little MinPin, Oliver, is a delight and joy! I wholeheartedly recommend adopting a pet from MARL.

I recently took in two kittens. They had both been spayed and had their first shots. I have been looking for pictures of them but there isn't any. I hope they were put up for adoption and find new homes soon.

My family has an awful experience there today with the director. She was very rude and did not want to talk to us about our situation and was very adamant on her staff being trained right despite 3 different people telling us different things. We weren’t able to adopt a kitten even though the vet there said it was perfectly fine and there was no issues taking her home today. They don’t want to help these animals they want to make it harder for them. This place could thrive with different management. We will not be coming back.

The two most awesome kittens. You can purchase a voucher to have a female spayed 4:30 and the males neutered for 25 at this location. Hometown veterinary clinic in Brandon Mississippi honors those vouchers !!!

The young lady who helped was sooo nice and soo understanding!!! It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful and patient as my niece was getting to know her baby "Luna!". The facility is extremely clean.

Adopted this adorable little guy. Great rescue. They have very in depth questions and requirements and you can tell they really care about animals. I was able to bring my current cat in to make sure the personalities of the new cat meshed well. Very clean, nice employees, and a great place to get an animal!

My wife and I visited MAR to see if our missing cat had been picked up and brought there. The staff was helpful and even though we didn’t find our car, we were allowed to play with some of the animals there. They seemed to be well taken care of.

They endeavor to place a rescued animal with every deserving family. Each animal is vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Donations of pet food are most needed. Next time you can, stop by.

Horrible “management” if that’s what you want to call it . You can tell who actually cares for the animals & want them to go to a loving home . Only one person actually tried to helped me . I wouldn’t recommend this shelter with such rude and distasteful attitudes a certain person decided to display . I feel bad for the animals who gets denied going to a loving home .

We we’re given a stray puppy. We made sure he was vaccinated and heart worm free. Unfortunately it wasn’t working out in our new rental home. We didn’t have a fence and didn’t feel like it was humane to keep him tied up. He was a lovable hunting dog. Anyway…. The intake process was very easy and the lady didn’t make me feel any worse than I already did. She said he would probably find a home quickly because people love hunting dogs.

I brought a kitten in. They told me that they were going to have to immediately put it down. I even explained that I could not keep it. They sent a guy from the back who was to take this kitten to be killed right then and there. I was balling my eyes out. He needed a flea bath and some food. But still they were going to kill it. A couple there were able to take it since I hadn’t handed the kitten over yet. They MARL broke my heart that day.

I don't have much experience with this shelter, but I can not complain of anything during the one visit I've had there. I found a beautiful dog that was approaching people in a busy parking lot next to a busy road. After asking around, nobody could say where the dog came from. No ID tag. Took her to the vet nearby and there was no microchip. The dog was injured and bleeding and the vet could not help since we couldn't find the owner unless I could front the expense. I wish I could have but I didn't have the funds. The vet advised that MARL has a vet on staff. I called MARL and they very kindly offered to help. I took the sweet dog over to them and they immediately took her back to get her injury checked out. Hopefully her owner has been able to find her. I just know if my fur babies went missing and were hurt, I'd want somebody to help them and I'd want to bring them back home. Check the shelters for your missing pets. Spay and neuter your pets, keep shots up to date, love and enjoy them!
