Highly recommend this as a stop on your dining pilgrimage 😁 Can't beat the atmosphere of an old, historic building. My burger was good - didn't like the fries-not well done or very tasty. The burger is interesting - seared to a crisp on each side and moist and juicy in the middle. We met a local who for a hamburger only eats Phillips burgers. The meat is quite mildly seasoned - I can make better seasoned burgers at home (I guess, personal preference), but I will try cooking them like these - it does add to their uniqueness.

Located on E Van Dorn Avenue across the street from the historic Holly Springs Depot: When you're ready to have a GREAT burger and fries (or any other really good sandwiches and sides -- this is the place! Family operated and with an amazing collection of Americana, Phillip's is a really a memorable experience and a sure way to fill up on really good cooking!

The burgers and even the fries were great. No soda fountain just canned drinks. No milkshakes or ice cream.

I'm a lifer... but I still think I'd love this place no matter what. I've been all over and it's still the coolest burger joint I know of.

Phillip's has the neatest atmosphere of any restaurant in Holly. It was featured on the Travel Channel's "Burger Land." I like to get bacon added to my burger with a side of fries and a coke in a glass bottle. Small staff so there is a bit of a wait. Don't go thinking it'll be as fast as Wendy's. it isn't fast food.7/15/2020-They don’t take credit cards right now. You have to call ahead to order or order from your car when you get here. You can’t go inside. They’ll bring your food to you.

What a neat old-timey grocery and a surprisingly delicious cheeseburger! I ended up here based on a friend’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint!

The burgers at Phillip's Grocery are delicious. They are like those old-fashioned burgers! My mom use to take us there...and everything at the store still seems the same...I would highly recommend their burgers to anyone!

Most amazing place. I grew up in Holly Springs and left in 93'. I miss the building up on the hill, the depot next door, the memorabilia and most of all the old fashioned style burger. I've lived all of the country since then and nowhere that I have seen has the history, nostalgia and the feeling of home like Phillip's does. Keep doing what you do and NEVER CLOSE!

Are you looking for a scrumptious bite, while allowing yourself a chance to put up your feet and enjoy the scenery? Look no further than Phillips Grocery! This eatery offers better-than-fast-food burgers and fries with an old country store feel. The nearby old train station and all parts nearby make one think they've gone back in time 50--100 years.Although Saturdays are hopping, the weekdays offer a much more laid experience.Hope you enjoy!

This place was so good previously. Yesterday they had the lobby shutdown. They came to the door to take your order. They were anything but friendly. Not rude but not friendly either. We spent 17.00 on two burgers and one onion ring. The onion rings were cold and the burgers weren't good like they were. We were really disappointed šŸ˜ž. Probably will try one more time and see if it's any good and maybe it was a bad day for them.

Top 10 burgers in USA? Don't think so, it was OK ....but just OK. Fries less than OK. Service without a smile, could have pumped up her personality a notch or two.

Hamburger was good and onion rings were excellent. Interesting place to visit. The biggest disappointment was how unfriendly the people were. I did not feel welcome.

This is a really great hidden treasure in the south about 35 to 40 minutes outside of Memphis Tenn. Holly Springs is a rustic small town known. In Holly Springs a predominantly black college named Rust College has been featured in Ebony, Jet Magazine, southern travels as well. Holly Springs is also the home of the brilliant actress Cassie Davis. My favorite place bar none is Phillips grocery store. Phillips had Theeeeee Best Burgers you could ever eat. When ever I would travel anywhere down south I would go the extra miles for their famous cheese burgers. The meat is fresh the taste is marvelous. The establishment is very small still its a great place to stop and get food to fuel you up. Upon visiting Phillips you get a sense of nostalgia like being transported back in time when life was simple. Please take time to pay Phillips a visit get the double cheese burger with everything on it along with an ice cold Coke. Give your taste buds a treat you definitely won't be dissapointed.

Good burgers, about 10 varieties. I had the Phil-up burger. They also have a bunch of other sandwich types. Comfort food is what they serve, all in a cozy place. Sweet tea was just right, light on the sugar.

The food is always great and the service is top notch. If you're within 100 miles of Holly Springs, Ms. stop by for a treat.

It tells the history of Holly Springs, and gives you a look of how things were years ago. Plus you get a good burger, fries, and drink with a slice of peace and quiet. :)

Worth the drive for a really good cheeseburger. Travel old 78 for an even better time, just put your car on cruise and enjoy the views.

Don't go in expecting fine cuisine. It's a fun place to get a great burger. Interesting buildings and homes to see while you are there.
