I came here JUST to review Nichole, my Goldendoodle's trainer and her groomer Autumn. They are both amazing and professional. First Nichole, she has worked with my Luna to such a degree that I get compliments on how mannerable and well-behaved she is. She is working with Luna to get her ready for therapy work, hopefully next spring. In 3 weeks, she will be tested for Star Puppy. Now, Autumn, she's the best. My first time, I described to her how I wanted her groomed, and she took my vision and made it so much better. My little fluff ball looks so pretty, and the way she shaped her face makes her look like a teddybear. I can see her pretty golden brown eyes. I am VERY VERY VERY pleased with the Petco services. WRITE IT DOWN Nichole and Autumn.

My hometown Petco is mega awesome!. I love that I can bring puppers with me. All the employees are super helpful when I need help and always friendly and smiling. It means a lot that they say "hi" to my dog and seem sincere to simply interact with me at the checkout. If all businesses created this shopping experience it would do a lot for not only return business but simply creating good vibes in the community, in all of our day to day interactions.

Took my shih tzu to this location, because I moved back home for a little while before leaving the country. The pet stylist Deana attempted to nickel and dime me. Charged me $15 for extra brushing and extra $15 for the style of cut I wanted even though I was paying for a cut and bath. When I stated to her that I had never been charged for that style before she pulled up his most recent bath which I was charged extra because he was a matted (I was aware of that) this time he was NOT matted. She simply charged me for what she had saw he was previously charged for and I guess she thought I was just going to pay like a dummy. She tried to argue with me then was dismissive by giving me the invoice and telling me to go pay and I asked for a manager!! I will say this… the store manager was very kind and listened to me. He also removed the $15 charge for 15 mins of extra brushing and stated he would address her attitude. Giving five stars because the manager was professional. Even if he hadn’t removed the $15 charge for “extra brushing” I would have given five stars because he was very professional. I will be sure to never select her as his groomer again when I book online

Google wants me to do a review on Petco, so here it goes. The store in Hattiesburg MS most of the time fits the needs for my 4 dogs. The large adult Pro Plan; salmon; sensitive stomach; dry food is what brand I like best for my two smaller dogs and they most of the time have that on the shelf, but we also have to pick up a large bag same brand for our two 6 month old; now each 70 pound puppies that some person dropped and left on the side of our road which my husband and I rescued. By the way none of the dog shelters would take them. We were told they were not taking anymore and this was August 1st 2023.Petco never seems to have that size in stock, just the 5-6 pound, so I have to order the large bag online and it’s never package correctly. Also, just putting it out there that style is important to me and when I need to put a sweater on my dogs Petco lacks styles in dog sweaters. I haven’t yet bought a sweater from them. There dog sweater are ugly and cheap looking. They need to get rid of all their ugly sweaters. They need to start carrying prettier ones. I will add that the Whimzees are fabulous and my dogs like them. They used to come in sweet potato, but that flavor is no longer in the package and I would like to know why?

Deana did a great job on our pup! I was really nervous to get him groomed because we have always done it at home, so I know how difficult his fur can be. It takes a lot of patience, and we are thankful! I’m so glad we decided to get him cut here. I love his long hair, but if he’s gotta be short, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Amber shaved our dog! We took her to PetCo for bath and trim and she was completely shaved! Our son didn't even recognize her. Not only did she shave her, but it’s completely uneven. When we complained, was told that this groomer has had several complaints previously (so why is she still there!?) Will never return to this location for grooming.

Im actually so upset DO NOT get plants I got plants here and it caused bacteria to get in my tank and made my fish sick and killed him.

Very nice Petco - the store is nice & clean too. They have an amazing selection and their prices are good. They just started carrying Orijen dog food, its highly recommended by many vets and kinda hard to find in this area. When you sign up for their Petco card you get a discount on this food too! Highly recommend! 🏆🏆

Amber did the BEST job grooming our Shepherd Beagle mix. It was his first time and he was really nervous but she answered all my questions and concerns and made Hatchet feel comfortable within minutes of arriving. We'll definitely be going back.

They had a fantastic sale on tanks and pets! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! I ordered a tank on sale while I was in the store getting it cheaper for pickup, took them 5 minutes to have my order ready, which was fast! They make my pets happy!!

I’m a terrible cat mother - both cats had an early morning vet appointment and I only have one carrier. They cannot share 😬 Less than an hour before closing the night prior, I made an online order. I didn’t expect that it would be filled before closing, but hoped. A lack of preparation on my part does not constitute an emergency on their part. That is a universal truth, btw. I’d called to ask about the odds. The gal was so helpful. Despite the online order not having even made it to their system yet, she told me to drive over. When I got there, the carrier was ready. More importantly, she was genuine and happy that it worked out. I really appreciated all of it.

Doors were closed and would not open before 8PM (the posted hours of OPERATION). The doors were not locked but the motion detection that opened the doors was turned off. I was able to open the doors manually and get in but just curious why the doors would not open for a customer who arrives prior to closing hours. Mr. Lawrence either you are allowing this behavior or you did not know about it, in which case you should take this opportunity to make the proper corrections. I was in and out before 8pm by the way as I knew exactly what I needed.

They were super nice and super helpful. One of the employees was sweet enough to let me son hold and see several of the animals without us even asking. It was a fun experience when we had just planned on running in and grabbing something real quick. We will definitely continue to use them instead of their competitor in town.

My wife and I went in 30 minutes prior to closing to purchase all new pet furniture. We began by looking at all the cute animals but were made to feel unwelcome by the staff comments. The staff members were huddled in the office watching us on the cameras and mocking us. We decided to make our trip short and headed straight to pet furniture. While looking and debating we heard a staff member scream out in frustration, keep in mind we were at the back of the store, followed by laughter and a comment " Go home we're closed". My wife and I left the store without purchasing anything at 5 minutes prior to closing and the staff promptly locked the door behind us. We felt like a burden and an inconvenience. The store has a great selection and a nice layout but we were not approached at any point and were openly mocked.

Service was great with extra time and attention spent to help us get exactly what we needed for my "almost" 2 years olds first "pet", a double tailed beta fish. Also, this great service came quite readily even though we walked in the door 7 minutes before closing time. I try not to make a habit of things like that but a fish was promised....

Booking grooming at this location is impossible. Online booking isn’t available and they flat refuse to answer the phone or return calls. It’s been this way for months so it’s not just a one off occurrence. You have to waste a trip to physically go in the store just to get an appointment schedule which is ridiculous. It’s not that hard to return a phone call. We’re switching to PetSmart. At least they actually let me book appointments.
