Stopped in coming threw town to grab a few snacks, my husband and I, while we were there we witnessed a manager named Tammy talking horrible to a very young boy. The boy seemed like this might have been his first job. He made a small mistake. With a whole line of people instead of helping him get the line down after the mistake was fixed, then discuss the issue, she stood there talking awful to him. Afterwards all she could talk about was how behind this would put her balancing her drawer. The young boy seemed very kind, she had made this boy cry and still had to finish checking people out. She was very unprofessional and should not be in any leadership. No one not even a full grown adult should be belittled or talked to like that with a long line of customers, or even talked to like that period. Managers should be a servant leader, meaning they should be serving their employees while leading by example. The boy made a mistake yes, but instead of working with him threw it or explaining how to fix it, she belittled him. That is not right at any jobsite.

Not all employees here are friendly. Some are just there to collect a paycheck apparently because customer service doesn't seem to be important. There are some good people working there, but there are also some that are rude and treat that store like its theirs and not like it is the business generated keeping the doors open.

I don't think an employee should get mad at you when you are asking questions about the current ad. And if they themselves do not understand something in the ad, instead of getting angrier they should try and get answers from someone that knows. Isn't their job to help the customer? Not make the shopping experience unpleasant. Fortunately there are newer employee's at the store that don't have a bad attitude like some that have been there longer. Maybe it's time for a refresher course in customer service, because it seems a few there have forgotten how to act towards the customers. They are rude and not friendly unless it seems they know you personally. I have spoken to other people that have said it's just how they are there. Well I don't think it should be accepted as just how they are at our local Dollar General.

Sales clerk extremely nice and polite...the manager, on the other hand, not so nice and polite. It took me over 20 minutes to get checked out due to the inability of the manager to understand coupon issues and make a decision. Store..and manager...are NOT coupon friendly.

Nothing stocked. Buggies with boxes to be stocked all over the store. People had to move these to be able to shop. No one was on the sales floor stocking at all. One person at the register. That is the only person working that was seen in this store. This has become the normal for everyday at this store. We cannot get what we go to that store to get because it is not ever stocked. During Halloween, they had stocking buggies in front of the candy the whole time. No one could get to the candy. We have decided to start shopping at another store closer to work instead of this DG close to our house because of this.

Hard to get help here not enough workers for a holiday. When they r busy u have 1 person running the register n a line full of people n noone helping that 1 cashier.

Staff is always friendly. The dollar store is my tiny "walmart". I will 100% go to the dollar store for anything I can, instead of going to walmart.

Usually just one cashier working so long lines are the norm. Many popular items tend to be out of stock constantly.

This store always looks like it's been robbed. Rarely has restocked shelves. Go to Aberdeen instead.

A little more expensive than most dollar generals, probably because there are no other options in Hamilton. Also they do not have the variety in a lot of other places.
