I wouldn't recommend this DG market at all. My daughter and I don't get to this store that often because she has a artistic 2 year old son and so when my mom says you guys go I'll watch the baby we go. So we walk around about an hour looking at things and my daughter walked over toe and shows me some nail polish and then puts it up. I noticed this worker just watching her and then I seen her looking at me. So we decided to check out and leave and when my daughter was paying for her stuff the same lady asked the cashier something and she said no. So the lady that was watching her said are you going to pay for the polish. My daughter looked at her and said I put that back I just showed my mom go look at the tapes. When we paid for all our stuff and left she was watching us still. It upset my daughter so much she had a panic attack. She don't like being out in public as it is now this worker whose name is Katrina hurt my daughter more then help. We felt like they thought we were going to steal from there store. So don't there if you want to be there longer then 10 minutes.

Horrible customer service young girl by the self-checkout has a disgusting attitude I was purchasing some items and a lady had just cancelled her purchase from the machine so I walked up and scanned my item I card a card number and I became afraid because I thought it had charged the item on the lady’s card that had just walked away so the little girl comes up and barks at me “ Did you just scan this” I explained to her “ Yes I did scan it I just walked because I was afraid it charged the other lady’s card and not mine” she then very rudely said “ NO! It’s that card you just scanned and then I was trying to scan it she was telling me I scanned it wrong and then got annoyed with me took the cards out of my hand and scanned them herself and just was very rude and ill-manned the young girl needs BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS because that was COMPLETE UNPROFESSIONAL also she is always barking CARD ONLY to everyone when it is displayed and highlighted all over the machine management needs to sit down and speak with her about the way she speaks to customers! Complete shame on you DG and your management team

I live a block from this store in Gautier on Hwy 90 so I use to go in there a lot and it's just a frustrating trip just about every time. To be such a huge store, they are severely understocked and have a lot less than the smaller DGs. There's only one or two employees that I ever see actually stock it and it's usually the same two extremely nice employees, the rest are literally standing around on their phones and act like it's such an inconvenience to check you out or help you. They have an extremely high turnover rate with employees as well. Having said all that, most of the items on sale, the drinks especially, never ring up at the sale price. When you bring it to the employee's attention (if you can get her off her phone) that the sale price isn't correct, they literally can not add. I had to add it up on my phone to show them that the sale price was not coming up to what they advertised on at least 4 different occasions in the past. They hardly ever use the actual registers either, even if some of the self checkouts are down. There are 4 self checkouts but most of the time only one or two are actually operable so there's always a long line, and they're iffy and could go down in the middle of your transaction (been there, done that several times). It doesn't matter how long that line gets either, they refuse to open up an actual cashier-operated register. It's so time-consuming and just not convenient at all like other DGs when you want to run in and grab something. I started going to the one on Gautier-Vancleave. It may be smaller and out of the way, but they always ring you up with the correct price and I never see them just standing at the self checkout on their phones; they're always friendly, working, and usually have everything in stock at that location.

The cashier was extremely rude when I walked in. Made me leave my stuff unprotected at the front of the store after shouting at me. I quickly got my two items and paid for them before anyone could steal my stuff. I will NEVER be back.

It is a great place, it is very big. It has some freezers and refrigerators. There is also some fruits and vegetables. The store also has some things that any other dollar general would have.

Worst one I've been to. Messy. Unorganized. No buggy's available. The dark haired manager/cashier followed me around to a point I wanted to put everything down and walk out. I changed my mind on an item and when I got to check out (with a full line behind me) she asked where was the item I had. I told her I put it back on the shelf. She then asked me to go show her where it was on the shelf. I understand loss prevention but that takes it to a whole other level. WILL DRIVE TO THE NEXT TOWN BEFORE I STOP HERE AGAIN.

I literally drove 20 min to go to the dg to get 1 thing which would of taken me like not even 1 min to get.. Pulled up at 9:43 and they wouldn’t let me in already had the doors locked and told me they couldn’t let me in and I needed to leave… dollar general doesn’t close until 10pm they closed 20 minutes early and then we’re rude as they could be when I said it’s not 10 yet pretty much just laughed in my face behind the door.. 2 min later they let customers out

Good store to make a quick trip. They have everything from laundry detergent, household cleaning supplies paper products, candles, clothing, toys for the kids, books, greeting cards right on down to grocery items and don't forget the milk and bread. So if you want to make hamburgers, spaghetti or just have a bowl of cereal the dollar general has it without all the hassle of a large supermarket. They also carry a good supply of beauty aids, shampoo, body washes along with cough and cold supplies, headache remedies and vitamins. Just too many things to list. Stop by on your next trip when you don't feel like fighting the crowds and long lines. Don't forget to check out their dollar isle.

This is an older dollar general with a well established inventory. I have been able to find nearly all the household essentials here
