Lovely place for a date or to hang out with friends! The pieces are reasonably priced and I'm looking forward to going back to try making one of my own! They do a good job explaining the process and we had a lot of fun. The kitties were also very friendly and somehow didn't make my allergies act up! So soft and adorable 😊

My wife & I did the canvas painting & it was awesome! You have a template so that you don’t have to be an expert w/ perspective or proportionality - you just paint!And it’s not paint by number: you are free to mix paints to achieve what you want. I was so delighted with the results! A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Spent the day with my daughter painting pottery, and time flew by! We had so much fun choosing our pottery and colors. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had lots of resources for inspiration. Sweet cats roaming about made us feel at home. We will definitely do this again.

Very disappointed in this establishment. I scheduled a party and then tried to cancel an hour later and the owner refused to even move the money I had paid to store credit. I’m happy to support small businesses and ones that aid in quality time with loved ones but I cannot support such lack of understanding and empathy (especially when I canceled in a timely manner). The refusal of a refund I can understand for a small business but being deliberately stubborn (and greedy) for no reason, I don’t get. No harm whatsoever was done in us scheduling and promptly canceling. What was the problem in us using that same money for the ceramics? We will no longer support this establishment.

We were looking for something different for the kids to do before they started back school in a few days. Had some friends that went here assumed. My mistake, that they enjoyed it. From the moment we walked in no one greeted us no one told us to pick out an ornament or animal anything ceramic that we could paint. So we picked our own then sat at a table then kind of got a little talking to about don't get started yet till I go over the rules and the kids really wanted to see the cats, reason we went in the first place, but they were not very nice cats and my kids got scratched twice and the staff was very rude, not helpful at all, and never asked if we needed anything or how things were going. Their prices are high, like double of what you can do at another place just 3 mi down the street and dogwood promenade. Also the place was not clean at all I mean they poured a bowl of water and it had cat hair in it which in all honesty is expected It is called fat cat and there's cats three or four but I was okay with that but you go to the restroom to wash up when you get through painting your item and it stinks there's cat litter toilets are nasty it was horrible never again will we be going back. And I don't recommend you go either. Please check out some of my other post for similar places that have this plus other options within the same building and are cheaper, nicer and way more fun...

Fun little place, my daughter loved it. My only complaint is that they wrote on the bottom of our art. I had painted a little shark for my son and on the bottom I wrote “Love, Mom 2023” and when I picked them up, my message was gone and it had my “(my daughters name) 2023”. On all of her art, they put “Suzi 2023” on the bottom. One of which was her Father’s Day gift to her daddy, which now has my name on the back. So now her artwork has my name on it and my art has her name on it - which is super frustrating.

We had a great time!!! So much to do there and the experience is personal. Most places I call you had to have a appoinment or only open on hoildays. Great for date night or family time. We plan on going back soon.

Very irresponsible & aggressive owner. They do not provide proper documentation OR receipts for your items. Owner does not properly educate her team & have witnessed her (on 2 occasions) being passive aggressive & sarcastic with them when they need help so I’m not surprised with the manner in which she treated me regarding my piece. I won’t be back to this establishment. But I pray she finds a better way to resolve issues.Look at the old reviews! I don’t have to lie!

I like going to paint ornaments every year. I have been to several of the events where you make a clay piece with handprints and footprints. My turkeys and Christmas prints from both my boys "first" holidays are treasures! We have been going for over 6 years to Fat Cat!

My first experience there was great!Second experience was awful. The store owner was insanely rude and made the experience unpleasant. We love animals. When my 4 year old was standing about 4 feet away from the cat just looking at it, the owner told my daughter to not look the cat in the eyes or the cat would bite her. Why would you have aggressive animals around a family oriented establishment? Our kids are super gentle and weren't even petting the cat- just looking. So bizarre. Then the store owner proceeded to just basically stare at our table for the next hour trying to find something that was displeasing to her.Anyways, I just want her to read this because I enjoy painting ceramics and want to continue. I hope that she can become aware how off-putting her behavior is so we can go back.

Where do I start….from the moment I walked through the door it felt like a mistake. Let me list it off1) we were met with 2 female employees and they were rude as ever. When I comment happily on the cats that I felt were cute, one employee scoffed “get used to it”. While the other employee barely knew what was going on.2) the accommodations were awful. For the record, I was a party of two. We were there to spin on the wheel. The wheel is located literally in the window. On a LEDGE that we have to sit on with tiny stools. It was embarrassing especially as first timers.3) The price does NOT match the service. It was expensive only for us to receive cheap labor. You’re better off making pottery at home. To “fire” the pottery at fat cat is supposedly free, but you have to wait an entire month to recieve your pottery piece back.

I gave this place 1 star simply because there’s no option to grant them 0 stars . My party did enjoy themselves ,but we couldn’t shake the feeling of not being welcomed in their establishment. We were greeted at the door with negative energy and slick comments . I honestly shouldn’t have expected kind service since she was also being rude to her employees. Not trying to make this a racial issue, but she certainly didn’t treat us well nor provided us with quality customer service. My best friend loves art so this was suppose to be a lovely family and friend oriented surprise activity, but we left with sadness in our hearts . We are all polite, successful and educated group of young individuals with families, that just wanted to enjoy ourselves. I will not recommend this place to my community. Go elsewhere please!

We had a wonderful experience here! The shop is homely and peaceful to be in, the owner is very kind and funny, and the shop cats (and dog) make for a great place to explore your creative side! There is an AMAZING selection of pieces to do, and they offer other services such as firing, wheel throwing and canvas painting.

I found out we have a cat cafe in Mississippi, and even better... it's an art cat cafe! I literally just decided to search cat cafes near me on google maps, and I came across this hidden gem. It's very relaxing, a simple and easy process, and diverse. You have 4 choice between 1. painting a canvas, 2. making a sculpture out of clay (no instructor, but you can watch videos on their website or online before hand), 3. using the pottery wheel, (must call ahead to book a time; no instructor, but you can watch vidwos on their wesvtie or online before hand), or 4. painting a ceramics piece (price range 6$ to $50+ depending on what you choose according to their size and complexity). Once you choose what you want to do, notify a worker and they will sit you at a table, give you directives , and record what you will do in a group or individually with prices. Once you are done, notify them and they will ask if you would like to have your picture taken with your art on your phone and then use the recorded receipt from earlier to check you out.P. S. They also had cute cat residents! I forgot to take a picture, but there were 2 while we were there: an orange one and pretty orange and black patched one. They were very calm and pretty much lounged around while we were hard at work. Lol.

Love this place!!! It has actually cats 🐈 that are super friendly and so is the owner. Went there to get a cup heated up my sister in law got me from another fat cat cafe in North Carolina but didn’t get it burned before she left. Quiet and very neat wide variety to choose from. Also even during Corona virus you can have a private party. Mask are required. I would recommend coming here especially if you love cats.

A few days before Christmas my sister, 2 nieces and 2 great nieces went to Fat Cats. They had all been there several times before, but this was my 1st visit. Had a blast, the employees were very kind and helpful, they had a wide variety of things to paint, and the cats that live there are so sweet and friendly. A few weeks later picking up our items they were beautiful! I will most definitely be back with family members, friends, of just by myself to work on more projects!!

I have taken my daughters here several times. They absolutely love it! Plus the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. If you're looking for something creative to do with your kids, or you just feel like being crafty, I can't recommend Fat Cat enough!

Great, creative atmosphere. There are usually plenty of kids, but there's still space for adults who want quiet & rexaxing. Plus, cute animals.
