I love eating at Annie M’s restaurant and when I do I always order the Fried Catfish. I decided to try something different so I ordered the Blackened Catfish. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. You definitely have to know how to prepare Blackened Catfish and the cook did an amazing job on preparing it. If you know anything about Blackened food you should know it’s usually spicy🌶😋. This was my second time ordering the Blackened Catfish and this time I had to take a picture. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and dish to anyone who’s looking for some GOOD old soul food.

I am here in Flora relocating home after 20 plus years. My grandson of 14 months loved their Mac and cheese at our last visit. For me, it was comfort food I sorely missed. On our second visit, after a 6 hour drive and unloading the car, we chose to return as the food was so good. My husband ordered off the menu with a side of Mac and cheese for the grandson. He was tired. I fixed a teaspoon serving of 4 things with the only thing for myself being a piece of chicken. He took a bite or two and started crying. Some lady comes out and opens crackers up and hands him. First of all, if I had wanted him to have crackers. After a 6 hour trip, I could have done that. Then, feeling like an imposition as the "new people" I took my grandbaby to the car. My husband tried to finish alone. He asked if he could fix me a go plate, Since I basically didn't get anything to eat. Apparently this is frowned upon in flora mississippi. So $51 later I'm hungry. I stopped by the convenience store and get some crackers. Probably should eat those free ones they were passing out. The food is phenomenal. They sure are proud of it too. As for me I will never darken their door again. My Mama taught me how to make chicken before I left here. I will cook at home.

I ordered Blackened Catfish that was so spicy I could not eat it. I spoke with the owner who stated Blackened is spicy. It's not described as that on the menu. It's ok if that is what it is, but it needs to be identified because I would not have ordered it. I'll never come back nor recommend the restaurant. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

An AMAZING working man’s pulled pork blue plate (...called it 10 H and added that data to paper log after pic). And ordered a slightly tweaked cobb salad (1x grilled chicken tender substituted for turkey) for later. Well worth the $30 bucks 💸, including tip and five BIG stars. 😏😀😎[old review tagged as “a week ago" on M06Jun2022 1:54 pm:]Everyone I ask about Annie M’s Café raves, so been wanting to try it out—especially since it replaced the boring fried Glycine max farm-fed fried catfish place that was there before (No desire for fat 🐡 swimmin’ in earl! 🤢). Was excited to see the black ’n’ blue on the Google maps menu until told no longer but can make some chicken-based salad (...prolly good but with fake blue cheese, i.e., Syscosumfin ranch? Didn’t ask. 🙄🤣). The “Slow roasted pulled pork topped with cole slaw and BBQ sauce...” sandwich with potato salad were generous portions, unfortunately devoid of any spices and BOTH the ripped pig 🐗 AND bun were as cold as the TINY dabble of slaw. Thank goodness I added grilled mushrooms, but they put the BBQ sauce instead of THEM on the side!??! The mushrooms must have been grilled in a previous life—cold, too. 😞 No Coke but at least they have Pepsicocrud whatever root beer. Minus 1 star for all the cold stuff, and hopefully they know a REAL hamburger goes on a grilled bun for next time!Oh, the desserts will fix ANY hypo (bread pudding today)—just remember portion control AND be smart order to go! LolMaybe I’m asking for too much, but if they had a REAL grilled corned beef Reuben with plenty of caraway seed sauerkraut AND Russian dressing (...NOT 1,000 islands whateva Lol) I’d be in culinary Heaven.

Do yourself a favor and stop in this little out of the way jewel. Absolutely delicious food in a rural area. I had the eggs benedict and grits. The eggs benedict was amazing and the grits were really good..not just your average grits. I can't wait to stop in again and try their lunch and dinner menu!

We had dinner here with my grandmother, our waitress was the owners daughter. She was absolutely fabulous. Accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and we decided to bring our family that Sunday, July 30th for my grandmothers 87th birthday.Sunday all 15 of us arrived at 11:30 and were greeted by the owner who was just RUDE! No hello, good morning nothing just a “How many a y’all”? I said 15. She said “y’all gonna have to sit separate”. I asked if we could put tables together. Her response “no that’s not fair to my other customers”. Ok, we will sit separate all while this one man takes up a table of 8 or 10 (he was there when we walked in and sat there 20 mins before anyone joined him) by himself.My cousin who was walking in with two children was trying to get inside when the owner looks at her and says “ shut that door”.The rolls were burnt, she told us to pick off the the part that wasn’t burned. Also, no dessert was served with the buffet. I was telling my aunt in the buffet line what happened, the owner walks by and “PFTT” at me. My cousin was in line while the owner was putting out more food and one person held up the line so all their family could go in front. Just some backwoods mess!It’s obvious she caters to the locals and that’s fine. I hope they can sustain her indefinitely because we had patrons from four different states visiting her restaurant and were treated poorly. Her staff was pleasant, I can’t imagine how she is to them. She was a nasty old lady and I’ll never spend another penny at her restaurant.Edited to add: a waitress came to our table and asked if we were using our chairs. She needed them for the table who had the one guy waiting for his family to get out of church. The owner was ok with taking chairs from empty tables to overcrowd one but wasn’t ok with us putting a table together. 🤔

Greeted by courteous staff. Ordered half chef salad which was plenty for one person. The salad ingredients were fresh and crisp. Ordered fresh baked cornbread as a side.You must visit the dessert display of fresh baked 5 layer cakes, bread pudding and more.Easy access off/on US Hwy 49 located end of shopping plaza. Ample parking and located near convenience store/fuel.A must stop.

Went for early lunch on a Sunday and everyone else must've thought the same as there was only one spare table. They offer a buffet on Sunday that included assorted fried and baked chicken, shepherds pie, chicken and dressing, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, white rice, Mac and cheese, field peas, lima beans, green beans, rolls and Cornbread. Everything was pretty good and was about $12. Highly recommend if you find yourself on 49 in Flora.

Great service, food was very good. Family had a variety of items (salads, chicken fried steak, jumbo shrimp, chicken tenders, pork chops, Hawaiian chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and several types of cake). We were all happy and there was more food than we could eat. Lastly, we came with a party of 11 an hour before they closed and they were still very kind and helpful!

The best place to eat on Hwy 49 in Flora at the Cotton Exchange Plaza.Parking: It's a local strip mall with plenty of parking in the free lot.Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out for mobility challenged people.

We stopped here on our way from Florida back to Oklahoma and the food and service was absolutely amazing!! So worth the stop!!
