No stars the manager Flora is rude to not only her employees but to the customers!! Yelling at them in front of children.. then proceeded to tell me i cannot come back to the store because i touched a buggy that was in the way of the Christmas candy that she was stocking and kept yelling and being extremely rude in the middle of the store in front of everyone! And told me i would get sued if i touched anything that belongs to the store even though all i did was reach behind her cart.

Has improved over the years. Used to smell like rat poison when they apparently had a rat issue at one point in the back before the remodel.Main issue I have is that 99% of the time the parking lot is a pain to deal with and they have only one cashier working even if a line goes to the back of the store. Never understood that.

Dollar General has whole aisles that are bare. This one at Ellisville had more stocked shelves than any other one I've been in the last 2 weeks. However, the parking lot is why I only gave 3 stars. Its the most awful parking lot. Its patched & bumpy & the slots are too small. I've seen several wrecks there. Normally, I would avoid that store. But I was in a hurry. I was glad I went in until I started back to my car.

Conveniently placed with a pretty good selection of items. They seem to carry more of the things I shop for than the surrounding stores. Although while it might just be bad luck on my part it seems like checking out always takes at least 10 to 15 minutesno matter how many customers there are in front of me.

The employees are very helpful and they went through the warehouse to find my size shoes and then I got 50% off. Really nice, friendly atmosphere even though they were stocking shelves for the fall inventory.

I went in an bought sandwich meat. I was in a hurry so didn’t look at the date. When I got home to make sandwiches the meat was sour and the use by date was April 19th. So that tells me they don’t check their dates or not using first in first out method. The employee Alicia was rude to the other employee. She has a VERY nasty attitude and then she said if you using a card use self check out. Ok you must not want your job because that’s gonna get you gone when we start using them.

They are working to improve this store by bringing in additional staff but things are still needing work. Customers leave items on the floor and let kids run around making messes. I feel for the employees.

This store is a horrible mess. .. as a person who had been in management most my life I was floored that anyone could keep their job with their performance in this store. Maybe they need to hire a stocking/ cleaning crew

Don't expect friendly or helpful service here. If you want that better go to Family Dollar. They can't keep the store stocked, act like you are interrupting them if you ask a question, care more about their cell phones than customers here.

They are everywhere now, but they are also almost always out of sonething you are counting on them to have & then they always just have one cashiet working, no matter how long the line is. Also they used to be where you went for a bargain everytime, now their prices on necessities are more in line with convenience stores.

Store is small and packed full. It is hard to walk through store and actually shop. Not a big selection of frozen food. This store definitely needs to be remodeled.

This is my Wal-Mart alternative. I hate going to Wal-Mart. Love going to DG. Best store I have been in so far is the new big one in Moselle, Mississippi. Their stock is put out quickly and their aisles are not health hazards filled with carts of new stock waiting to be put on the shelves. Ellisville store is a mess...really dangerous at times with merchandise piled way high.

Messy but mostly due to Christmas shoppers right? Who knows, they seriously under schedule employees. They should have 2 on the registers and one constantly stocking. Hate tryin to get around those big stock carts in the isle.

We always find everything we need. The store is a bit cramped, may could lay it out better...? But otherwise no complaints.

Either all but one register is broken down that or they only keep one on. Lines will end at the stock room and it usually takes ages per customer while the other 2 or 3 employees play on there phones or walk off somewhere to never be heard from again. Don't recommend this location unless you want to wait an hour in line.

Dollar General in Ellisville has really done a turnaround the Isles are bigger it's a lot easier to find things I was really surprised when I went in today the employees were real nice I could have stayed all day just browsing and looking it was cool clean and pleasant

Too many stock carts on the floor. There were employees there and working but you couldn't get to several items/isles to get the merchandise needed.

The store is organized as best as it can ve for the size and amount of inventory that gets brought in. Missing star due to the PARKING. There is hardly any at this location

Been in Dollar General 3 times today love the remodel job BUT I could not get to some of the products I needed because the isles were full boxes piled high not being to what I need and the store is loosing money this way

Great prices but always has stock on rolling carts scattered around the storeIt's a safety hazard. Stocking should be done after the store closes.

This is the most discussing public place I have ever been in ..I’ve give them the benefit of doubt and went back a few different times ant nothing changes .. it’s so unorganized you’ll think your in a salvage store ..the last time I went .. All the employees were standing outside on the corner smoking and when I walked in the line at the register went on and on .. I told the people in line that they were out side smoking and talking while they stood there ... ILL NEVER GO BACK UNLESS THE REST OF THE TOWN BURNS DOWN ..

Had exactly what we needed and when we found out there was a van on fire outside the cashier went and found the extinguisher and put out the fire.Random since it was my only time being at dollar store 🤣

I used to shop at the Ellisville dollar store but not to long a go my foot was cut on some very sharp glass and no one has yet to call me and there floors are filthy

Dollar General is definitely my favorite place to shop. They've always got what I need and I'm in and out at around 15 to 20 minutes.

My go to and get it all store. I hardly ever fight the traffic at Wal Mart. Less stressful shopping at the DG. Love ,love , love it !!!
