We were able to visit the petting barn! Giraffes were in a “dock” that we were told was off limits. We could see them roaming but from 50 yards away. We purchased a bag of feed, and it lasted through the whole petting barn.Everyone was so sweet, welcoming and gave good directions. We opted not to drive the safari tour in our vehicle due to our time constraints, they said it’s up to an hour to traverse the course.Cleaning was really important, the paddocks and pastures are spacious. Every herd has water and a shelter! It’s a beautiful facility. I thought it would be right off the interstate but it’s actually a 15 minute drive.

This place is AWESOME. I bring my friends and family here all the time, but as someone who has been here 5+ times… here a few tips:-DO NOT bring your very nice/brand new car here. Some of the animals like to jump up on your door and the food pellets will go up inside your window. I still find stray pellets in my car to this day.-Buy extra bags of food. Some of the animals are smart with a combination of greed. They like to steal your entire bag.-Ration out your food and save it for the end. There are giraffes at the very end and I’m sure you’ll want to feed them.-If you want to feed the big ole bison and he’s laying down, just shake your food bag. He’ll get up.-I’ve never done this, but DO NOT bring your pets along with you. They don’t allow pets and it should be common sense not bring them.-Try coming on a weekday if possible. It’s never fun to be stuck behind multiple cars.

Safari Wild Animal Park is one of the most wonderful destinations you should visit when you have travel in Tennessee or Mississippi. You can say Hi to the friendly-wild animals. Then, You can feed them with the animal food provided in this park. It is a nice place to spend your holiday with your family, friends, and children.

One of the best experiences!!! The animals were so sweet and they LOVE eating out of your hand except I wouldn't recommend feeding the ostriches, and zebras or they will bite and peck your hands. My favorite would definitely be all the Llamas. We made a good friend with a giant Watusi who kept following our car for more itches. You could tell this place was well maintained with its clean land and you can tell that the owner is very passionate about it. Speaking of the owner, we had a very good conversation, and how he was planning on, expanding and adding more animals. This was definitely one of the best safaris and zoos I’ve been to. I’m definitely looking for annual passes and planning on coming here later in the future with more family.

This is an amazing place!! We are new to the area and was looking for something family oriented and Safari Wild was perfect!! We drove through the park, loved feeding the animals. We also visited with the owner for a while at the end while eating lunch, great guy!! Absolutely amazing family friendly place!!! Don’t trust the negative reviews… They must of been posted by competitors or people that think the animals are trained. We absolutely loved this place and will be returning!!

It was great. Plenty of animals, and overall had a good time. At first lots of the animals came up to us so we can feed them. Beware the ostrich is pretty ruthless it almost climbed on top of our car and isn't gentle when grabbing food. The best animal there has to be the giraffe because they were super nice and soft. The one thing is was kinda disappointing on was that the giraffe tower was closed, so we couldn't give them the rest of our feed. Watch out for the pot holes. Anyways I had a good time.

Always enjoy bringing the kids here! Super friendly animals! Little pricey but I don’t mind! It’s worth it for the 4 hours spent! Best time to go is on a Sunday a few hours before they close! Not busy! Only complaint is there should be a driver on a golf cart that should patrol for aggressive drivers that speed thru and ride your butt. Not safe when you have children and to the animals as well.

Had a great time. Very friendly staff. You can go through the trail as many times as you want until 4pm. Animals look very well taken care of. Kids had a blast. Cheaper than Tn Safari Park.

I took my 9 yr old to the park at 10am on Saturday. The park was almost deserted (no other customers), and the staff was fantastic. We hit all of the attractions:- Giraffe Feeding Deck ($5 for a cup of lettuce) - you are face to face with gentle giants. Ruby was at this station, and she was great - super friendly and helpful.- Lorakeet enclosure ($5 for 2 small cups of nectar) - this was the most fun, because the birds are not shy about landing on your arms, your shoulders, even your head to get to the nectar. At one point my kid had 6 birds perched on various body parts!- Petting zoo - mostly goats and sheep that you can feed with the bags available for sale ($4-5). Also a turtle enclosure and ring-tail lemurs.- Camel ride ($10) - The guy doing the rides was helpful and friendly, and educated my kid about the camel during the ride. Plenty of time for photo ops too.-Drive-through safari - This was very enjoyable, lots of interactions with the animals. The ostriches and lamas will be more assertive than most of the other animals when it comes to getting fed. At times the ostriches would "bully" other animals away from the car. Best to drop the food on the ground for the big birds - they will peck at your hand with very large hard beaks, which can be unsettling for little kids and even painful (imagine hitting the palm of your hand hard with a large rock). Never saw the advertised cheetah, but everything else was out roaming and interacting with us.Now, all of this fun will cost you ... The gate admission gets you the petting zoo and the drive through park, that's it. Pretty much everything else costs extra. It was well worth it, but even with just 2 of us we laid out almost 80 bucks for all of the attractions and 5 bags of feed.

Fun experience! Spent about 2 hours here for the drive thru part plus petting zoo. Enjoyed getting up close with the animals. Beware of the ostriches! They will try to peck you through the windows. Loved feeding the giraffes. Zebras were beautiful as well. Drive slowly, as there are some rough holes in the road. If you don't use up your feed during the drive thru part, you can use it for the sheep and goats in the petting zoo area at the end. There's porta potties near the petting zoo area as well.Restrooms: 4 porta potties, 2 by petting zoo entrance and 2 by giraffe feeding area.

I lived in Como my whole entire childhood and would have never believed this little gem would ever become part of it. My family and I visited for the second time today and loved it as much as the first visit. The animals are amazing to see up close and clearly they are we taken care of. The ostriches and llamas are so funny and surround your vehicle so DO NOT get a car wash before you visit. This trip we visited the petting zoo and aviary and it was so neat! The girl working there was friendly and obviously loved her job and the animals. They have lemurs as well! I think it is fairly priced! We paid around 60 dollars for four people and it took two and a half hours for the whole experience. This is a must see if you are ever in the small town of Como. We prefer going here over the zoo anyday! During this visit we were the only guests present and it made it even more of a fun experience. Almost all the animals came to our car and even posed for pictures! We will be returning for sure!

I will never go here again and never recommend to anybody. This looks like a scam. I saw some earlier reviews about this park and decided to go. Some people has given five star I don't understand how !We been here today after a three hr drive. My experience was very bad. They have only few animals.Zebra - 2 , lama - around 20, Giraffe - 2, Ostriches - lees than 10, Deer - around 30 but none of them were accessible and they were not near to the track and few Bisons. And many of them will be far and don't come to near the car. It feels like you are just driving on a 5 miles dirt road. Only one or two animal per half mile and they were too scattered. The food they give in a paper bag and you have to throw those food on the ground and then animal will eat. This is non sense. They claim, they have cheetah but the barn was empty. I saw some review with picture of bird and a petty zoo but it was closed and no body was there. And they did not even tell me while purchasing the ticket.Earlier I been to Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo and that was worth it. There have provided food in a bowl and you can actually feed the animal by your hand. That was wonderful experience. And they had plenty of animals, a gift shop and a very nice zoo area which is included in ticket.I reccomend to choose Tennessee Safari Park over this park. Save your money and don't go here.

My daughters (16, 13) and I got up early on a hot summer morning and headed out to this park. It was not crowded, super easy to navigate and tons of entertainment. We particularly enjoyed being terrified by the ostriches and rheas. I say that with love because those memories are priceless and filled with laughter. Bring some snacks and water and don't forget a camera. Animals are mostly friendly and will come up to your vehicle for food. Hold on to the feed bags because some have learned how to snatch and run with them. Don't miss this experience.

First time here and will be back. Randomly came across this drive thru safari park and it was so much fun. $18 per person and $4 a good sized food bag. All of the animals were calm and friendly. The place was huge too I think around 460 acres. The alpacas and ostriches were purposely standing in front of my car haha it was funny. Staff was nice. Feeding all of these wild animals was a wonderful experience. Giraffes & zebras were my favorite. There’s a petting zoo as well before the drive thru with sheep , birds and lemurs. 10/10. You gotta go!!

We had a great time. Make sure you purchase several bags of food. The very best part was being able to stop and hand feed animals we have only seen in a zoo from afar. When we are in the area again we will definitely be a repeat visitor

Great experience for my daughter, she was very courageous. The ostrich were a little more aggressive than I would've liked, even though I know that's their nature. The staff was very friendly as well, so were all the other animals.

Such a unique experience getting to drive through the safari park and hand-feed the animals. The giraffes and zebras were my absolute favorite, the ostriches can be a little feisty! An amazing family outing that will always be remembered. One downside: there are only port-a-potties.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves at the park. We are avid NatGeoWild watchers. So, it was fun to see these animals up close. The petting zoo was fun as well. We got a chance to feed the goats and give the birds nectar. I believe my kids enjoyed the birds the most. We are thinking about going back.

Safari Wild Animal Park is a great place to visit with your family. The animals are well-cared for and the park is clean. However, the park is very large, so there are many areas of the tour where you will not see animals. My favorite thing was the petting zoo, and the lorikeet feeding. Overall, is a great place to visit for a fun and educational day out.

Great experience. We got to feed all the giraffes, then goat and also parrots. The animals in the safari park came up to the car windows to get fed (at least the hungry ones did). The children had a blast. It took us roughly 2 hours to complete the course and it's well worth the money.

We came to check this place out since we will be Mississippi residents as soon as we close on our house. We are originally from Michigan and wanted to find a cool place to bring friends and family when they visit. With it being only about 30 miles from our future address, we are excited to have something close to do. Park is clean, well maintained and the people are friendly. All animals appear to be well maintained and we had many visitors to our car as we drove through. We were able to pet giraffes and lemurs. The employees stop to talk to you and just give you a great experience anyway they can. We will follow the development planned for this place and we will be back. Thanks for a fun day.

We love this place! We've been half a dozen times already and are never disappointed. Our 2yr old has been so excited every time. From feeding the giraffes, to the petting zoo he never stops smiling and laughing. My favorite is the zebu cow. The ostriches are a bit to handle at first but get used to them. I hope they continue to grow their facilities.
