We went to Lowe's after discovering the paint we had was a shade too light. Dionne of the paint counter helped us correct our color conundrum and was very helpful, customer oriented, and overall pleasant to work with. She made a challenging moment very simple and helped make an impact on an already stressful day. Thank you, Dionne, for your professionalism and support.

Had to go to Lowe's several times in a week that my wife and I were helping my son move into his new home nearby. Found most things I needed and a mixed bag of experiences with employees. From the worst being the paint lady who barked at us when we had a question about something and she growled "I'm too busy to talk" to the best in a young lady that helped me figure out each item and aisle on my list. The VERY best was Dirk who went with us to find several items and directed us to a few others. Great guy, positive attitude and excellent employee. Had a few other employees ignore me before Dirk when I'd call out to them and walk off. Had three employees in the middle of the store do that at the same time. All jawing and laughing and took off in different directions when I called to them. We've dropped about $2,000 dollars in 4 days at Lowe's and have much more paint and supplies to buy. We are going down the road to Marvin's if the same paint lady is there today. A few good people made it better than average for an experience. One excellent employee kept this from being a bad visit.

TLDR: Disappointed with slow service and lack of transparency. Staff seemed indifferent, and I was concerned about potential theft of my $500+ order. Hoping for better customer service, especially for higher-value orders….The details: Upon arriving at the store, my experience was unfortunately marred by a few issues. Despite calling ahead and waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I found the staff engaged in casual conversation upon my arrival, leaving me feeling overlooked. When inquiring about my $500+ order at the online pick-up desk, I was directed to the back of the store without a clear explanation, prompting concerns about potential theft. This led to unnecessary concern regarding the status of my order, which, while eventually resolved, left me with lingering uncertainties about its delivery. Given the value of my order, I had hoped for a more reassuring and transparent customer service experience.

If you live on a military base, do not buy from this Lowe's with hopes of getting anything delivered to you.We asked an associate as well as the appliance section manager if they would be able to get on base before we even bought the washer and dryer. We were told by both that it wouldn't be a problem at all.My husband and I bought a washer and dryer on the 17th to be delivered on the 23rd. The delivery window was set from 11-2, then changed to 12-4. At 4:50 p.m. the drivers called and said they could not get on base and if we could retrieve the the appliances at the visitors center. We are unable as our car is not big enough to hold, thus the reason for delivery. My husband met the drivers at the visitors center to sponsor them on, but they had NO insurance OR registration yet were driving a Lowe's delivery truck. At least one of them had an ankle monitor on as well, which does not bode well for getting on a military base. At 6 p.m. of delivery day, the drivers marked in their system "too late for delivery" rather than state the truth of not being able to get on for their own negligence. My husband called the store to reschedule and asked to speak with a manager, but was never called back. The following day, he called again to reschedule and was assured that we would be receiving our order on Wednesday the 27th yet received no confirmation number. After not receiving any confirmation number from the customer service at this Columbus store, we went into the store on Tuesday the 26th to ensure our delivery was set. The manager, Ashlee, went into our order history and ASSURED us that we are on the "3rd party delivery' schedule". We got a text at 6 p.m. on Tuesday saying our delivery window for the 27th will be 12:30-4:30. On the 27th, we called at 4 p.m. to check on the delivery status, was transferred between 3 departments and 2 stores only to be told we were never even scheduled for delivery on the 27th. We were told from the main Lowe's customer service that our delivery has always been set to the 30th, 13 days PAST our initial day of buying.I'm not sure who lied to us, maybe the customer service manager Ashlee, but we are incredibly frustrated with this situation and overall lack of communication from this Lowes. At this point, we'd rather take our luck of buying from Facebook marketplace than ever deal with this company again.Lowes, for your reference, I already called the 1-800 number you are recommending.UPDATE: They pushed back our delivery again. Twice. Called the Starkville Lowes where our appliances were allegedly and got to finally speak to a store manager to cancel and get refunded. Go to Used Appliance World instead of this Lowes.

Absolutely worthless customer service. Tried for 30 minutes to get someone in lawn and garden and ended up in an eternal loop with the customer service desk. They need to hire people who actually want to do their job!

HORRIBLE STORE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERICE. As a small town with little to no options for appliances, you would think Lowe's would be best option. THINK AGAIN! I was scheduled a week ago to have appliances delived on base, the men who showed up to deliver did not have proper paperwork to enter the base. Promised they would be delived 3 days from then, never showed up. Another date given and pushed back yet again. Military supports this small town, and this is the way we are treated? Unacceptable. Don't waste your time or money here. It's BEYOND SICKENING HOW PEOPLE ARE TREATED HERE!

TERRIBLE customer service. I called to ask if anyone turned in a missing phone, and the gentleman that answered was of no help. When asking if he could transfer me to someone who could help, his response was “Uhh no ma’am.. I don’t really wanna do that.. I just came back in from outside”Naturally, I asked to speak with the manager, who was equally as rude and also no help.

I got discriminated against and I've gotten helped too. So, apparently they have all types of folks there.I've had some of the worst experiences ever trying to shop here and I've had times when the employees were so nice you wouldn't believe it either.

My aunt paid for a refrigerator on June 30. It was delivered on July 2nd. On July 6th, she called in to Lowes to say that the refrigerator was defective and she needed a replacement. The store told her that there was nothing that Lowes could do and gave her the number to call Whirpool. Whirlpool responded that a tech would be out between the 8th and 10th. On July 10th, Whirlpool called her and said that there were no technicians in the area. Whirlpool later called and said that they had to order parts and would let her know when they came in. My questions are, how do they what parts are needed if they never came out to inspect it. And why didn't Lowes take care of it when she initially called to report that she had a problem on July 6th? Today is August 31, and my aunt's refrigerator is still not fixed. My aunt has been without an essential appliance for two months and Lowes response then, and now is that it is a Whirlpool problem. This is totally unacceptable.

Sucks I had to make a return and didn't have an option for a gift card. Wanted to return a cheap tool box I received for Christmas. Needed to pick up some thinking while I was there. Only option was to credit the debit card the item was purchased with or walk around the store, pushing the tool box I didn't want until I found the items I needed. Took the credit and went somewhere else. Not my first poor experience with Lowe's......js

I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator that did not power up. The solution the pro desk offered was to pick up the defective one and schedule a delivery for another one. I asked if a replacement could be on the truck, so my tenant could have a fridge asap. This request was denied. I will not do business with a store that doesn't stand behind the products they sell.

Had a online ordered went to pick it up in columbus ms the associate Eric argued with me when I informed him that pieces were missing in one of the kits. Then he called someone and asked if it was supposed to come with all the items on. The box the box was even damaged.

We were working on some projects and used curbside multiple times over a few days. Super easy process of ordering online, and checking in online when headed to pick up. Sales associate Nicole was super helpful and delightful.

When you spend thousands of dollars at a business and you need to swap out a twenty dollar plumbing part and you don't have the receipt they don't have time for you.Notice I said swap out not get cash back.I'll be spending my money some where else.

It would be a nice place to buy something. Went inside asked 3 different people about pegboard. They said what isle it was on. Didn't even bother to see if they were out or not. One said again yeah it's down there. I think if these people would stay off their phones and help customers, they'd sell me stuff. But because they didn't seem to care and there was NO pegboard to be found, we will go somewhere else to buy it.

Can't help but to love one of the only major home improvement store in this area, there are 3 other smaller ones, and due to this this pandemic they have been open, true some items are not on the shelves, but this to shall pass

Bought a washer and dryer from here. The products are great, but the sales associate that helped input the incorrect delivery dated when we needed it on the 11th and not on the 18th.Additionally, we bought a fridge online and scheduled it for delivery on the 13th. We received a text saying that our delivery was canceled. Called the store to find out a "technical" glitch messed up the delivery, and it will be delivered the next day. Zero compensation or acknowledgment on the error did not take responsibility for the mess ups. If there was a Home Depot close by, I would cancel my orders and have gone there instead.Update on the fridge: They failed to load it twice because they didn't have a driver that could get on base. The customer service rep was little to no help and didn't seem like she cared or wanted to help. Canceled the order because they have no concern or care for ensuring customer satisfaction. Congrats on losing a $2200 dollar sale.

The worst customer service! Go to check out with two fans that were on sale, they did not ring up for the sale price. The cashier called asking for help multiple times, we were asked to go take a picture of the price tag on OUR phone instead of an employee walking their lazy self and checking it themselves. It then took 15 minutes standing there for a manger to override the payment. We will not come back to this Lowe’s, we will move our business to the Lowe’s in Northport, AL where customer service is their number one goal. Plus they are way nicer and helpful!

We order a washer and dryer online since September 07, 2023 and schedule delivery for September 09, September 11, September 13 and September 15, 2023 they set several deliveries times making my grandson to miss time from work 3 times. Do you think his boss is going to believe because of lack of customer service he needs to miss so much time. Also I call and they scream at me. I had to let the lady know that I was not deaf. He is a handicap guy can't lift anything heavy. No one contact us to apologize.

Took a whole hour to get just one thing! 😡Found it in a couple minutes, but it was on the top shelf so an employee would have to get it down. I couldn't find a employee anywhere! I pressed the customer service button and no one came, couldn't find any employees in the aisles, and after 45 minutes of waiting the store put out a call for employees who weren't busy to start bringing carts in, like 10 employees came out of nowhere! This Lowe's clearly doesn't want my business so I will not be returning 😡

If I could give no stars, I would. Never more than 1 cashier at the front, and 2 of the 4 self-service kiosks work. Waited 15 minutes to get the cashier as I had a card to pick up the item I needed, but she then didn't have a key. So I then stepped out of line and waited another 15 minutes, and 3 "loud-speaker announcements" for an item to be grabbed from the "cage". Lady at the front was very busy, but polite. Love the fact that when they finally did show, the item I needed, was actually in stock and wasted 30 minutes of my time just to find out they don't have what they display for purchase.

1st time using the pickup order for lumber, plus a handful of small parts. When arriving at the store, it's only a little confusing where to go (for lumber vs only picking up small stuff). Employees soon pointed me in the right direction, and I got my stuff.I was a little worried about them picking my lumber for me, but my mix of 2x12, 2x4, and 1x4 were all pretty straight. A couple of the 1x4s were bowed, but it won't matter for my application.I did have a box of screws canceled from the order last minute for "out of stock", which was annoying that the website didn't show this.

They do not carry the ends for handrails, not even online. I provided all the information for my tax free account on Nov 2, 2020. It was supposed to be for 12 consecutive months. I tried twice in January to use it, once in Northport Alabama, and once in Columbus, Mississippi which is where I provided the paper work for my business. Both time I was denied tax free. Today they told me my tax free expired Jan 3, 2021. When I asked them to renew it, they asked me to show my business license again. Since I was not anticipating problems of this magnitude, I did not have my license with me. [I always have it in my truck when going shopping, like every other business man (sarcasm, it is)]. I never had this issue when I shopped in NM.When did this place become a walmart. There was one self check out lane open and none other. You have to go to the pro section to check out to get your military discount WTH?!Today I saw a rat scampering across the floor from outdoor furniture towards the exterior wall where seeds are sold.

As always can never find the help needed. I Had an item that was supposed to be on sale but check out it was not. The box had been ripped up but the item was good. Did not feel up to fussing with the cashier so i did not get it. Plants look like they have all seen better days

Lowes is beginning to grow on me. Something seems to be happening company wide where there's a big push on customer service. They have a good selection and I always enjoy just walking around to see what's new.
