I absolutely love this bookstore. It’s arranged so perfectly and had a Childress section etc. The owner was very nice and helpful. I miss small stores like this that give you a warm and inviting feeling.If in Columbus you must visit and make a purchase. There is a large variety of books and what I also love is there are books specifically about and for African Americans.

I'm posting under my husband's account. We were in town visiting family nearby. I found out about this bookstore online. It's difficult to park and difficult to leave. However, if you love books, you won't want to leave. It's a book lovers paradise. It's small, but don't let the size fool you. They have an amazing selection inside. If your a bookish tote bag collector like me, you'll have trouble deciding which to get. They also have t-shirts and Kindle stickers. They have a used vook section to the back that's discounted. The YA room is amazing, I was so obsessed. I saw so many ideas decorating my own bookshelves.Will be back again when we come to visit family.

I always have a great experience here The employees are nice, helpful and give good recommendations. I also appreciate being able to order books through them and have them shipped to the store. They always arrive in a timely manner.Also their furry store mascot is so precious!Highly recommend this adorable bookstore for anyone who is bookish or looking for a good gift!

Super cute bookstore! Lots of possum merch which is a unique touch. They also did a book hold for me to pick up after work one day. Probably my favorite local book shop.

I’m so upset it that it’s taking me so long to go in this fabulous bookstore. Their manager designs these tote bags they do them quarterly. just fell in with them. What a great selection of books they have to.

Such a cute bookstore with an awesome selection. I loved the section for Mississippi authors. Staff was really friendly and they had a nice selection of gifts and souvenirs as well.

Was a wonderful place to take my son to get a book for his bd. It was a good size without being overwhelming. Staff was wonderful and kind. Having Clearance books was a nice surprise as well!!

I'm not one to take time to do online reviews, but I had to say something about Friendly City Books and their podcast. While I'm not primarily writing about the bookstore in this review, I will say that the staff and mission at Friendly City Books is so customer-centered, that I now buy all my books from there, virtually and online, because I live an hour and a half away. I buy everything else online, so why not my books as well. But one of the real strengths of Friendly City Books is the podcast, where reviews by Emily and Rachel have prompted me to pick up and read books that I would never have considered before. They both are so knowledgeable, so articulate in their descriptions, and so passionate about their specialties that you cannot help but get drawn into a title or a genre that is being discussed on the podcast. I don't know who originally had the idea to talk books on a podcast, but that idea is marketing genius. I will go broke listening and buying those podcast features! You guys are awesome. Keep up the great work!

I love supporting local bookstores! Though seemingly small from the outside, they do have plenty of offerings (I heard on a podcast recently that it was something like 5,000 books). If you can't find what you're looking for, they'll order it for you. You can also support them online via bookshop.org. The owner is a delight and is very involved with the community. I also love that Scarlet (the dog) is there to great me when I walk in!

This is a wonderful independent bookstore!! The staff is helpful and friendly, the selection is phenomenal, and Scarlet the dog is so cute! This is a must visit if you are in Columbus or surrounding areas.

The staff are very helpful, not to mention friendly. The selection is broad and varied including used and paperback. Local authors are included, and there is a children's room. They will order anything not on the shelf. I ended up with more than would fit in one bag. Highly recommend!
