I used to go here often. I went in and grabbed a few things along with a jug of tea. Once I got back home and gave it to my family, we discovered it had literal mold in it, and we had drunken it already. I went back up there and explained. Only to find it it was EXPIRED BY A MONTH. And was told to just grab a new jug and that I couldn't get a refund since I had to use a self checkout because the card machine was down, as usual. And that she didn't know how to refund me. And throughout all this, I got no apology. Only a "This was actually our fault. We should've pulled it from the shelves, but it gets hard sometimes." Since I couldn't get a refund, because the people who knew how were supposedly out at a wedding after being told they'd come in that evening, I grabbed a new jug that wasn't expired. But it was HIDDEN behind the NUMEROUS EXPIRED JUGS OF TEA. Don't shop here if you don't want to be sick from moldy products.

This is the worst dollar general I've ever been in. I avoid going there as much as possible. When I do HAVE to stop by the store looks like a bomb went off, the floors are dirty. The shelves are bare or not properly stocked. The fridges are not clean and there is often a bad smell. Not to mention they are frequently closed a strange times, do shift change at peak business, and are not very friendly. Most of the cashiers are trying to keep up but the management just slacks. Do better. This store could be cashing in. But its just failing.

This location always looks like a small bomb has gone off inside. The shopping aisles are always full of stuff and merchandise that needs to be placed on the shelves. There's no way you could use a shopping cart in this location effectively. However, they do seem to have all the stuff you need, you'll just have to spend some time looking for it as it is very disorganized.

This store has so many problems that occur frequently. The credit card machines are down too often. Popular items are out of stock too often. Regional manager terrible.

I just left the store in independence. The shelves are always empty.nothing on the shelves. It’s so sad 😭 I’m done shopping there I might as well go to Walmart. Poor management. Poor district manager too. This store is losing so much money.

I would highly suggest going to another one. The shelves are rarely stocked and my husband when looking for a bathroom walked into the back room where it was overstocked with boxes you couldn’t walk through to the restroom. When we told the cashier how bare the store was she said the truck should be in tomorrow...hmmm

Good people. The store is going to be remodeled in a few weeks. They will provide produce afterwards. As is the store is cluttered it always has been. However for where it is I can't complain.

Closest place around to drop in and get whatever you need. We refer to this place as the Coldwater Mall, although it is actually in Independence because it is always busy and the parking lot is almost always full. It is still pretty quick to get in and out though and the best part is there is a Redbox there to grab a movie on your way home.

I went in and got the things I wanted got to the register there were 7 people in line they wouldn't open a second register because they were doing shift change I stood there as long as I could and left because I never got waited on it's a matter of not having trained staff YOUR store is losing business because this is happening daily.

This store is the worst Dollar General in the area, too cluttered, employees are rude and never have our needed items in stock. We always end up driving to New Town or Coldwater.
