Slow service, expensive and small portions. They better never serve this food in Louisiana, they'll be run out the state. Never have I seen fries being put on a scale to make sure they didn't give you too many. For 40 bucks, you can have real seafood in the North that tastes better and not seasoned with paprika. Who does that???? Canton, and Mississippi as a whole disappoints me daily. Never visit again.

Just horrible. The fries tasted like they had sat out under a heat lamp for two or three days. They were not fresh and some of them were so hard and rubbery I refused to eat it. Shame on the people cooking and serving this dish that way. I spent $10.00 on a hamburger meal. It did not even come with a drink. And they were too lazy to cook some fresh fries. The burger was equally a disaster. The little black patty was tough and semi hard. The bread was not fresh.I also ordered catfish and fries and okra and that was a little better although I ordered and paid for two portions of catfish and they cooked one portion.I will never go back to this Penns fish house. The location in Madison cooks everything fresh.These folks cheat by serving old outdated and stale food.

They were a bit slow . Hopefully since you cannot enter they could work a bit faster. Some people had to leave the line maybe to get back to work . You can't even use a restroom for a period of time . So if they could pick up some speed getting you served it would be great.

Great fish and chicken. True southern menu. Something for everyone. Quit right off the interstate near the Nissan plant in Canton, MS and a few miles from the backside of the Ross Barnett Reservoir.

We ordered a catfish meal with cheese bites. Now the catfish was so good but... those cheese bites were absolutely delicious. Would have eaten more if I could have. Will definitely go back just for those!

The fried tomatoes were great & the fried okra too. The little young lady cashier (African American) that rang me up and took my order was GREAT. Her customer service skills were good and polite.I found and was a little disturbed watching the manager (white female) who didn't appear to be friendly after speaking to her in a setting of this kind, very POOR taste. On top of that the manager weighting the food, which is already like warn under the warmer.I purchased $25. worth of food, see the pictures. Next time I will drive to Mama Hamil or Ichiban all you can eat buffet and have $10. leftover for the tip. ‼*Disappointed*‼

Haven't been able to find a good fish restaurant since I moved to Atlanta. So when I come home to visit, there is a must that I stop by here. The food is great but just a little salty since the last time I ate here. The young man who took my order was very nice and I received my order within a matter of minutes and it was correct. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fish and chicken like me. They have other items as well.

I hate to write a bad review but unfortunately the food was well…..just bad. We ordered from the Canton (peace St) location. Not sure what happened, but every item we had that was fried was SOOOOOOOOO salty that we couldn’t even eat it all. We spent over $75 and the majority of the food ended up being thrown away. We also didn’t receive any sauces at all. No Tatar sauce, no cocktail sauce, no ranch or comeback sauce for the appetizers, no ketchup. Nothing.The portion sizes are so small as well, especially the Mac and cheese. It was a little 1/4-1/2 cup styrofoam container that was only half full with Mac and cheese. We were thinking the children who are 4 and 22 months could share one, but it literally was too small for that. For $2.39 it definitely wasn’t worth what we got. We ordered dinners/snack plates, and appetizers consisting of fried catfish, fried chicken, fried shrimp french fries, fried okra, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, fried cheese bites, fried mushrooms, Mac and cheese, and French fries. We were really looking forward to enjoying our food too, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I hate to say it, but I don’t think we will be eating there again for a long time. So disappointing.

Love Penn's fish houseBeen going there soon I was in my 20's.they have a bunch of Penn's restaurants here in Mississippi.all are greatFrom they chicken on a stick to they popcorn shrimpThey have salad there also.you can add popcorn shrimp or chicken on your salad.mainly it's a chicken or fish restaurant.you will enjoy this place.

Ok, so it takes some time to get your food. There's a reason for that: this is not a "fast food" place, it even says so on their drive-through menu sign. The food was fresh and delicious, well worth the wait. I recommend the shrimp poboy. My son said the fish poboy was delicious and his friend said the fried chicken salad was also excellent. I will absolutely be back.

This comment represent the Penns across from Canton Discount Drugs in Canton and not the Penns on the highway. The service was horrible. Called in an order drove up to the window and the employee with dreads was rude and nasty, no hello at all. She starts going off on me about not stopping at the call box. I was so shocked that I told her to keep her food. I later called the store and the person who answered put the window person (not sure if man or woman) back on the phone, she goes off on me, spells her name "... Morgan" (as if she did't care), and hang up the phone. So, I went to the Penns on the highway to get the corporate number and voiced my complaint to corporate. They offered gift cards but I declined because never ever ever ever will I step a foot into this business again. In speaking with other locals, this restaurant is known to be rude and nasty inside.

The prices at this place are outrageous!! Two hushpuppies and three tiny pieces of fish cost me over seven dollars. It all fit in a small hamburger box with room left over. No drink included. I will not go back.

I waited 35 minutes on a shrimp salad. It took cashier 8 mins to take my order, NOT TO MENTION I was in the drive thru and no one took my order. I came in and the cashier didnt say one word. I watch the cashier and the manager totally ignore my presence. Both people were rude and very nasty. 10/02/12 was the date I CAME IN and I will never spend ANY of my money here again. 10 THUMBS DOWN !!!!!!!

Are they saving the food for themselves, I paid $6.56 for 10 popcorn shrimp. Here in Canton,MS if this cheat scam continue. They should close down it's not that great to be cheated for your money I was told to call cooperate 😤
